@KillerIsD34D I think earlier demos were 30fps but what I played was definitely 60fps. Whether that will change or not before launch, I can't say. It was obviously an unfinished build.
@nikolai131 They didn't mention any plans to release a demo, but I'd say it sounds like a sensible idea!
@Markatron84 Oooft, good question! I was able to do one evolution during my session and I feel like the Digimon stayed at the level it was before I evolved it. But I wasn't paying 100% attention and I couldn't say with confidence that was the case.
@DennisReynolds From what I saw, particularly the area later in the game, it's a large zone you can explore as you please but there are only a handful of paths you can take.
@ryan_nil Detachable means exactly like the current range of PS5s. Which means it's not part of the actual hardware, and you can either add one optionally or buy a bundle where it's included.
@ShadowRJ I personally think it's a great compromise. Like you say, it's good for hardware errors, but it also allows consumers to choose what they want.
And it gives you the flexibility to go digital and still add a physical option later.
It's really helpful! And as @antdickens mentioned, we'll definitely be doing a site-specific survey in the future to try to understand your wants/needs better!
@dskatter Well he says that they were counting on PS5 being the biggest system for the game, especially as PS4 was the biggest platform for World.
Of course the game has many other issues (as mentioned in the article) but I think his point makes a lot of sense — especially in Japan where PS5 is extraordinarily expensive.
@awp69 No it wasn't. It was fourth on Xbox-only platforms and didn't make the top 20 on all formats. The Elder Scrolls Online was second on Xbox-only platforms and didn't make the top 20 on all formats either.
Thus, we can surmise the numbers of the Xbox-only charts are very low.
If you have a source where Alinea Analytics denied their initial prediction then I'll happily update.
@awp69 I mean, as always Alinea is just estimates and we don't know their methodology, but I'm not really sure how this article disproves anything.
As you say it was on the Xbox specific sales charts but it didn't make the all formats Top 20, so we just don't have enough data to know either way.
(The Elder Scrolls Online was also 2nd in the Xbox charts and didn't make the all-formats top 20; Death Stranding 2 was first on PS and second on all-formats).
@nessisonett To be fair, though, the open world is pretty mind blowing and they expand it every six weeks. You don't really need to pay anything to enjoy it either.
@EvenStephen7 There are difficulty options and I did notice an auto-steer toggle, yes. I think it'll be fairly kid friendly but I obviously didn't get to explore ALL of the accessibility options.
@PsBoxSwitchOwner Thanks for the feedback, but there are 1000s of games on sale, so we're certainly not suggesting buy everything.
As noted in the article, we're spotlighting games that achieved a certain review score. Hopefully by including a larger spread people can find something that appeals to them. (Everyone has different tastes.)
However, we are looking into ways we can make these articles more digestible.
@Whirlwound Again, really hard to say from a short hands-on, but I'd say so. It's still got that chaotic element you'd expect from a kart racer, but I didn't find myself getting battered at the finish line.

Re: Preview: How The Smiths Shaped Suda51's Wildest World Yet in Romeo Is a Dead Man
@graymamba It seems really cool. If you like other Grasshopper stuff, I definitely think you'll be into this. Very excited to see more.
Re: Rumour: PS6 Will Have a Detachable Disc Drive, Much Simpler Design
@Drago201 Haha, I think it does need to have some kind of design flourish to make it stand out as a product, but the PS5 was a bit ridiculous really.
A potentially smaller box would be appreciated, as long as they can keep it quiet.
Re: Preview: Why Digimon Story Time Stranger Will Scratch Your Pokémon Itch on PS5
@Slayer25c You don't but it's still nicer when you're running around the environments exploring, and it even makes those menus snappier.
I think it's still preferable to play in 60fps, even if it doesn't massively affect gameplay like in an FPS or racing game.

@Waa-Laa Can't really say anything at the moment but we'll let you know what's going on when the embargo lifts. 🙃
Re: Rumour: PS6 Will Have a Detachable Disc Drive, Much Simpler Design
@Stragen8 I think one thing worth considering with PS6 is that PS5 is going to remain the lowest spec for a long time after launch anyway.
Re: Rumour: PS6 Will Have a Detachable Disc Drive, Much Simpler Design
@Frmknst It's just not true and a very reductive way of looking at things.

It's one of the smartest things Sony's done IMO.

@DrVenture69 Haha! Obviously it's very tame, but you can see the inspirations from those games in what they're trying to do here.

Re: Review in Progress: Lost Soul Aside (PS5) - Long Awaited Action Is Both Awesome and Awkward
@WhoderMan It does seem like the price may be the biggest mistake here. It’s weird because I feel Sony’s usually very good with its pricing.
Re: You Can Still Claim This Free PS5 Game in PS Store Cock Up
@o8-bit_Munky It was only ever free for PS Plus. It's still showing for me, I can't believe this hasn't been fixed.

Re: Preview: Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Already Feels Like a Respectable Rival to Mario Kart World
@Whirlwound I won my last two races but struggled with the first couple, specifically the first one.
I'd need to play more to comment on rubber banding, but I felt like I was up against it in all of my races.
