Standard for me. If im paying more i want something tangible to the game play. An exclusive weapon, Extra in game items, unlockable tokens etc or whatever they’re gonna use for infinite ammo stuff etc. not weapon skins and costumes etc.
Having said that im so excited for this. My favourite franchise 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Lady Dimitrescu costume?! SOLD. Now where’s the physical with steelbook!
I'm not hyped (kappa)
I do like the Lady D costume lol. Genuinely curious what the other costumes that will be in the game, both Deluxe and unlockable.
@Deadlyblack I can see going the RE4 remake route with skins
I'm kinda hype but i think i'll wait for Gold Edition that comes with everything. After RE 6, i never buy RE on day 1 anymore, well except RE 2 remake.
But why a Lady D costume though?
I'm gonna try to fight the urge to play this on launch day and save it all the way to October and make it next years Halloween game. RE's are some the best Halloween games
@PuppetMaster You must of missed just how popular Lady D is
I appreciated most of what RE7 tried to do (minus the horrifically trash dlc’s). But 8 was a major step back. Way too action set piece oriented and nowhere near enough creepy, foreboding dread. I’m tentatively hopeful with 9, but I’m holding off until a decent number of reviews pour in.
I'm not sure I understand the point of preordering a digital game. But hey, that's cool - I'm looking forward to the game a lot. As soon as the physical edition is available, I'll certainly grab it.
No, thanks. Not interested in returning to racoon city without the classics.
@Oram77 I know she's popular but what i mean why her costume and not say Jill RE 3 or Claire RE 2 costume since this game take place in Raccoon City again.
@Nem You can play the classics though
Looking forward to this, I really enjoyed 7 but can’t get into 8. Fingers crossed it’s good!
I have been playing some Revelations 2 recently. I would like them to make a 3rd, with an even better Raid mode, of course!
@Nem Think it's time to move on from them bro.
@Oram77 They still do remakes i am interested on.
But, yes. I am not interested in this.
@Nem But we can't keep going with the legacy characters forever, part from Jill (who has delayed aging) all the others are getting older and deserve their rest.
What RE’s do I need to play for this one you’d think? I’ve played 2, 4, 7, & 8. I’m going to start up RE3 on Halloween I think right after I finish Ghost of Yotei. I’ll get to RE1, RE5 & RE6 eventually but a lot sooner if I need that to enjoy RE9 😂😂
@Oram77 No, but when returning to racoon city, which literally is the place where the classics started, i will not accept anything less.
There may still be something. But as it looks like, this is not what i'm interested in.
It's ok. I will patiently away the code veronica remake instead. 😁
@IntrepidWombat I guess for those who preorder digitally, you can initiate download on psn from your phone on launch day while you sit in front of gamestop lol. Or if you miss doing the midnight thing, you can do all that in front of gamestop at 12:01am. All jokes aside, i don't get it either. I always used to preorder back in the day to safeguard not getting a copy from gamestop cause they might be sold out.
@IntrepidWombat I think you can pre-load if you preorder, no? Not bad really, if you want to get cracking straight away and you know you are getting it (reviews be damned!), since the game is likely to be a huge download. Also you get a skin so.. there is that.
i'm guessing at the next event either they'll tease the next remake at the end or they'll have a teaser trailer , either for zero or code veronica.
@IntrepidWombat you’re right. Digital preorders are nonsense. Unless they give some incentive for doing so, there’s no reason to do it. Well, maybe one reason. You might have the funds now, but won’t have the funds upon release. Although, I’d that’s your money situation you probably shouldn’t be using it on video games.
Switch 2 version for me!
Oh those costumes are tempting!
Ok, wishlisted.
Standard for me, have no use for costumes, best use of those 10$ difference is to get an older game at a discount.
Wild how the worst version of the game is getting loads of extra accessories.
Must be trying to sell it harder
Jesus those deluxe extras are the kind of thing Village gave you for nada after a playthrough or several. However it doesn't bother me as I'll go for the physical Steelbook think Amazon are doing it here in the UK. Ironically that will be cheaper than the digital deluxe...
Waiting for the UK retailers to announce the deluxe steelbook editions now
I won't play that game until the VR mode is release, for free, hopefully in time for launch day. If there is no sign of this on launch day, well, I may need to stay away from internet (spoilers fear).
@ROBYER1 I've been refreshing Amazon all morning and still can't the deluxe edition on there, I just want that steelbook!!
Like always, I will wait for it to be 50% off next year, but yeah it looks great.
I am usually "standart edition" guy if the beefier editions are not on sale down the line but every now and then I make an exception and this will be one of them. I am more curious about letters than costumes but overall want them.
I'll get the Deluxe Edition. My second most anticipated game right now after Metroid Prime 4.
@Oram77 The steel book is live now fella although Amazon aren't actually allowing orders (but will no doubt).
The Game Collection has it for pre-order though.
if physical copy offer us less than digital Deluxe Edition then I'd go with digital
@Jammer Ok that cools, thanks for the heads up buddy 👍
Waiting for the inevitable gold edition.
Love Resident Evil. Hope its scarier than Village and more like RE7 BioHazard
Absolutely wild what constitutes extra paid for content these days. Though Resi fans will lap up anything sold to em, no matter the cost.
VR2 VR2 VR2 VR2 VR2 VR2 VR2 VR2 please
The Steelbook is now live on Amazon UK to actually order rather than yesterday's placeholder. It's also confirmed the deluxe physical edition has the exact same content as it's digital deluxe counterpart. The only minor quibble is the US version has a lenticular card included whereas the EU or UK versions do not. But of course there is a cheaper EU/UK lenticular slipcase version but that doesn't include the digital content outside of one wardrobe change.
