Over 1.5 million people have watched Silent Hill F actress Konatsu Kato play the first part of the PS5 survival horror game.
The star, who promised to livestream her playthrough for fans, has already amassed over 100k subscribers having started the game late last week. She’s scheduled to broadcast the next part on 29th October.
Kato, who plays heroine Hinako Shimizu, spoke openly about how challenging the role was prior to the game’s release.

In an interview with Famitsu, she said “there were days when I felt like I was going crazy” portraying the character. She also spoke of how she’d randomly “burst into tears without even thinking about anything”.
Given the toll the performance took on her mental health, it’s surprising to see her return to the game, but she said she made a promise to fans she wants to see through.
