This is an absolutely phenomenal game! So pleased more people will get to experience it.

Played all three way back when I had an Xbox 360 and as much as I loved them I just don’t really have the appetite to replay them. If they were perhaps full on remakes I’d maybe give it a go. Knights of the Old Republic on the other hand...

Finally rolled credits on Act 2 yesterday and what a ride it has been! Literally spent 15+ hours on Biome 3 and then did biome 4 onwards without dying. Need to get through Act 3 but in need of a break before I go back to it. A true masterpiece and I’ve loved how open the narrative is for interpretation.

@Omnistalgic thanks for your reply! I finally beat biome 3 last night after 7 hours! Had an astronaut which I never even needed to use and had more than half my health left so was pretty thrilled! Excited to explore some new biomes now.

The fact I could play for 7 hours on and off yesterday, whilst constantly dying is a testament to how great this game is!

I am loving it so much. I gave it a 9 and I am 30 hours in and still getting absolutely dominated on the 3rd biome boss and yet still find myself going back for more! If anyone has any tips for taking him down I am all ears because at this point Nemesis is truly my nemesis.

Whilst I can appreciate people’s wish for a save the lack of one has thankfully not hampered my experience at all. I am able to get to the third boss from biome 1 in well under 2 hours and I believe after Act 1 there is a checkpoint. Save and quit should definitely be an option though.

This is honestly one of the hardest games I’ve ever played 🥺

After 20+ hours I've not had a single issue whatsoever. Fortunately I didn't get round to playing after the update whiched screwed up the saves! Just downloaded the new patch but a bit cautious about playing now! I am absolutely loving this game but boy is it hard. Finally managed to get to the 3rd biome boss today but got destroyed during his second phase. Try, try, try again...

@Sladey69 as far as I’ve seen the cost of the both are the same. At least retailers here in the UK are stocking both versions at the same price, roughly £49.99ish. If you see retailers charging more for the PS5 version i’d go elsewhere. It also seems to be the same price on the psn store.

@tinCAT-zero there’s a free Ps5 upgrade path from the PS4 version which gives you the 4K, ray tracing and 60fps

The gene splicing / customization element of this game really excites me, I just hope they can deliver. I think i'll wait for reviews and for bug reports before getting this but it's definitley on my list.

Owned since day 1 and I have no coil whine here but a very loud disc drive when in vertical position. Absolutely fine soundwise in horizontal and even more so now the recent firmware update dampened the disc spinning up sound. Will be interested to see if this noise issues with the disc drive get addressed at the same time.

At the very least the entire ps+ collection should be 60fps. I hope this is a sign of things to come.I don’t have an Xbox but you can’t argue it’s not an excellent feature. Exclusives are far more important to me but there are a handful of older games I would love to revisit with an FPS boost.

Second place is an absolute feat. I bought it digitally yesterday as I ended up with some psn vouchers for my birthday but initially intended on physical. I know lots of people who got it digitally too. They definitely need to rethink including digital games in the figures for there to be any accuracy in these numbers.

God this looks gorgeous on so many levels. Definitely one to platinum!

For everyone saying Roguelites are not your jam, I feel you. I was of that opinion but I ended up giving Hades a go on the Switch and that honestly blew me away and completely changed my tune. Never say never! When done well it might just be the game that changes your view. I feel this could be one of those gems that draws you into the genre more than you might have expected. I am so excited for this!

Not an appealing month for me but with Returnal, RE: Village and Biomutant coming out I could do without other distractions... that being said I don’t know which game to go for first 🤔

I have been loving this service and it has let me experience so many games that I would never have thought to buy. Well worth the money and I can't wait to see where it goes from here.

@nessisonett haha I also got this on my Q80T. I didn't mind so much because I am really excited by it but if it was something else i'd probably be quite annoyed!

@FX102A I know what you mean about GoT. An unpopular opinion but whilst I enjoyed the aesthetic and combat I did find it a little boring and repetitive for the most part. Not to mention the world was empty and NPCs were sooo dull.

Horizon on the other hand gripped me. For me, the world and story was far more vibrant, varied and captivating than GoT and I never found it a chore to do anything. Hopefully if you stick with it it will grow on you.

Went massively off JRPGs for such a long time but FF7 Remake has revived my love for them and this actually looks fantastic. Think I will be giving it a go for sure.

Unrealistically hoping they drop news that it’s now 60fps on PS5 like Ratchet and Clank! Already platinumed it but not played Frozen Wilds and will definitely play again before Forbidden West!

Love the art direction on this and it looks far superior to Maquette. That being said I am all puzzled out after playing that. If it’s ever on PS+ I’ll give it a go.

Finished this yesterday and what a stunning game this is. A completely unique experience that will stay with me for some time. I am admiring ZAUMs commitment to making this the perfect game.

My disc drive spun when I booted up but hasn’t spun again since I’ve turned it on and I’ve been playing Disco Elysium for a good couple of hours. Hoping this is fixed!

Wonder if it would be any different if I was playing a disc game?

Edit: classic timing. Posted this and then the disc spun. It is far far quieter than it was before however it did seem to spin for a good 30-40 seconds longer than it did before. This is utterly bizarre. Just stop it spinning altogether!

I'm wondering if it's just not compatible with the Q80t at this point which is disappointing if that's the case. I'm pretty sure my TV is always on standby mode as the standby light is on. Also, I have it in the only HDMI 2.1 port for consoles so it should be in the right HDMI port for this to work.

I will trawl through reddit to see if anybody else is having the same issue as me.

@Matroska do you know if I need to enable hdmi-Cec on my Samsung q80t to take advantage of this?

I don’t want my TV to turn my PlayStation on every time I turn the TV on but I would like the PlayStation to turn the TV on if I turn that on first. I tried the new One touch setting and my TV stays off. If I turn HDMI CEC on on my TV then the PlayStation turns on which I don’t want.

Been wanting cross-gen shareplay for ageeees so am pleased!

@nessisonett unfortunately didn’t work for me at all. I left it for over 10 mins and it still did nothing.

@nessisonett as soon as she unmutes and the church starts vibrating it soft locks. Seems a common issue on Reddit and Twitter. I read that if you skip through all the dialogue very quickly it sorts it. I also read that having high +shivers and +inland empire sorts it, as does sleeping. So I tried all of the above and it actually got past it so I have no idea which of those things fixed it but I can proceed, hurrah! Also I can navigate the tasks again so not sure what happened there but it seems all good now!

@nessisonett not come across Lilienne yet but yea, both The Pigs and Soona soft locked and The Pigs is now fixed but Soona is not.

I am now also having problems with my Journal and not being able to scroll through any of the tasks.

Excellent turn around from ZAUM! Sandcastle and The Pigs are now fixed for me!

Edit: The Soona experiment is still broken for me

@nessisonett haha yes! I hated everybody. The dialogue was also atrocious and I felt the game was tedious beyond belief.

If they could get some decent writers on board and get rid of most of the characters and if they could promise that I wouldn’t have to hear anymore of Deacon spouting “Sonofabitch”, “Sonsofbitches”, “God damn Son of a bitch” and any other variation of that every 5 minutes, then I may play a sequel. When it’s discounted.

I have been absolutely loving this game. It’s such a trip and I’ve never seen anything like it. The only issue I’ve had on the PS5 so far is the sandcastle issue and besides that it’s more or less been great so far. I have also some odd interactions trying to purchase thought slots occasionally but not sure if that’s me doing something wrong!

@Mostik I’ve been playing Valhalla for 1 hour 30 so far and the disc hasn’t spun once since I started! Looking promising! It span when I turned the PS5 on and then didn’t spin up again, not even when I fired up Valhalla.

Also deleted the PS4 version and it hasn’t reinstalled either so am super happy!

@Mostik This guy on twitter is saying its made his drive quieter and the spin up has stopped... but who knows how accurate that is! Will definitely be keeping an eye on this as it's my biggest nuisance also.

I really enjoyed it a lot, more than I expected and am intrigued by the dlc. I absolutely adored BOTW and although it lends a lot from both that and the original God of War series I think it also successfully manages to be its own game too.

I loved all aspects of the controller on Astrobot and I think the the haptic feedback is incredible all round, but honestly, I’ve been a bit disappointed by the adaptive triggers outside of Astrobot. I didn’t think Demon’s Souls used them particularly well. I actually turned them off when playing Immortals Fenyx Rising and they are ok in Miles Morales. This is obviously down to developers to make the most of the features but as of now I’m not as blown away by the controller as I wanted to be. Hopefully games in the future will really make the most of these features.

@thedevilsjester Yea! It's so frustrating and surely so easily rectifiable? Haven't tested since this firmware update so if you find out it's fixed do let me know! I'm doubtful though...

I'm waiting for them to patch the issue where the disc drive spins every hour for about 30 seconds if there is a disc in there, even if you are playing a digital game. It's not a huge problem but it can really break the immersion as it is rather loud.

Cancelled my preorder because I have too much of a backlog and so will hold out until it’s upgraded for ps5!

@Robinsad I know the feeling too well! I was always wishing for the end. I had a moment where I was so sure I was quite far into the story and then I checked online to find out I was only just hitting the half way mark

I just finished Days Gone yesterday and boy was it a slog. It was a stunning game to look at and it had some really fun moments but on the whole it was boring, formulaic and the narrative, though had potential was terrible. Skizzo is the worst character ever.

I don’t see why you can compare cyberpunk ratings to days gone at this stage just because of bugs. If cyberpunk’s narrative and story is good but albeit a bit buggy, I’d definitely give it a higher score than days gone, which I never want to play ever again.

@rykkchii flipping to horizontal position made all the difference. Sound of the disc drive sounded completely normal! I have to have it vertically though so after some reading on reddit I removed the side panels and put them back on and made sure the stand was fitted properly and the disc drive no longer sounds like a lawnmower in vertical, which I am much happier about.

It’s still not as quiet as some other people’s from what I’ve seen on YouTube but there’s no way I’m sending it back for repair at this stage.
