I have been completely oblivious to this genre of "immersive sim". Is this a new genre of game or something? What makes a game an "immersive sim", and how does Deathloop fall into that category? Genuinely interested.

This looks cool. Any word on a PS5 version coming?

@KilloWertz there were still instances where some (not all) icons remain on the map. The previous patch made a big difference but I still had fire gleam and flowers stay on the map even after clearing them

Platinumed this earlier in the week without any real progression breaking bugs. A really easy platinum as far as open worlds go. A tremendous game all in all.

This is actually better than I was expecting. I’d like to see a definitive list of games for the Extra tier though. Will possibly get on board for the extra tier, however there is a back catalogue of games I’ve got to work through before I can justify upgrading to a higher price.

@zupertramp it’s fake. It’s a terrible and inconsistent mock up and you even have price mismatches. E.g . One price says $29.99 and then directly below it says $24.99.

Timing makes sense. Latest firmware update might have been hiding something Spartacus related and next week is when we’d get April’s PS+ game announcements. I predict a Wednesday or Thursday announcement, and if not Wednesday, they won’t announce the April PS+ games until the event on Thursday.

This looks so adorable. Definitely got my attention on this one.

Been playing on PC GamePass and it is visually stunning. The gameplay is a bit average though so I think this review is spot on. Might finish it one day but for now I have far too many other things to work through

Returnal was definitely a game of the year contender for me. However I am so deep into Horizon at the moment and then when my girlfriend is playing that I’m playing Tunic. Got Elden Ring and Cyberpunk to get through next so god knows when I’ll get round to it! What a cracking year for gaming. I am most overwhelmed!

Not a “big” FF fan by any means but am a fan of the older games. This looks awful.

Thank God! When they said one way of acquiring stuff was by “buying”, a small part of me wondered if they meant physical cash rather than in-game currency!

It was absolute trash with the exception of Returnal. Soo disappointed and that was even going in with low expectations

A 9 for me. The traversal mechanics are a bit clunky and annoying at times, and I find the number of weapons and outfits a bit overwhelming but that aside I am having an absolute blast. The world and graphics are just spectacularly gorgeous and the detail in the side quests rival that of The Witcher 3. Am well and truly loving it.

I’m a hyped for this but I am deep into horizon at the moment. This is my next purchase for sure. Maybe RT will be implemented by then but given the general spottiness of the frame rates as it is, I can’t imagine RT is going to help things much!

Am absolutely loving this. Am playing in resolution mode and it is absolutely spectacular. Have really adjusted to the 30fps. I’ve been back to performance mode a few times but it just doesn’t quite cut it compared to resolution mode. I’m not massively far into the game, have only just got to the first tall neck but I haven’t ran into a single problem yet so patches such as this are most welcome!

So the day is out and my pre-order didn’t arrive from Amazon and no update saying why, though presumably it’s the storm’s fault. Very frustrated. Been counting down the days for this game 😢

I just bought myself a new gaming laptop and have subscribed to Game Pass for £1 to see what all the fuss is about. It’s a pretty overwhelming selection! Currently playing through Ori Will of the Wisps which is stunning. Holding tight until Horizon in less than two weeks and I just CANNOT wait!!! Feels like Christmas

Having just finished reading Blood, Sweat and Pixels by Jason Schreier, I’m super into Yacht Club Games story. Got a lot of time for those developers so will definitely be checking this out!

Said it before and will say it again, really hyped for some theme park building before Horizon drops!

Actually been wanting planet coaster for a while so quite chuffed with that. Will be a nice game to play with the girlfriend while we both wait impatiently for Horizon FW

Refusing to watch anymore now until release. Already a bit annoyed I caught a screenshot plastered all over the internet from this trailer that spoiled a specific thing I would would have been hyped to have experienced in the moment, during playing.

Finally got myself Lost in Random. My last purchase until Horizon arrives!

Announcements must be imminent, surely. I wonder how long it actually takes to recall everything nationally, or do they just tell retailers to dump them?

I’ve heard some murmurings of a Sony event on 2nd Feb. If that is the case, then perhaps we will hear it there. I hope we get some clarity very soon!

Having just finished Nier Automata I’m not sure I can stomach any more gratuitous and unnecessary pert, sexualised bottoms

The first couple of hours were a blast but the characters were woefully cheap and the writing so bad. It had some interesting and fun game mechanics but I honestly found it to be a huuuuuuge slog. I’d be hesitant to play a sequel based on my previous experience but maybe they’d fix some of my grievances from the first game. Still, doesn’t sound like it was the disaster it was made out to be. In its defence however, I also don’t think GoT is a solid 10/10 9/10 experience. 8/10 at most. Slightly better than Days Gone but not by much IMO.

Horizon I read absolutely everything. It added so much to the world and helped me piece together the mystery. Control I read a lot in the beginning but then I just didn’t bother as it was all a bit nonsense. Kingdoms of Amular there are just pages and pages of books and journals. No way I’m reading that. Some games have far too much readable content and I don’t understand why. It adds very little to a game IMO. Perhaps they are just trying to keep writers employed during a game’s life cycle…

Disco was fantastic. The writing was so sharp and piecing together broken memories was an absolute rollercoaster ride. That karaoke scene 👌🏻

I also echo the thoughts on Kena being missed. Definitely in my top 3.

Hades is fantastic but played it on the Switch last year. Was tough to decide between Disco Elysium and Deaths Door but opted for the latter in the end. It was just so charming and beautiful and wholesome.

It's always fascinating to see what some people regard as a solid month. For me this month is not good at all and that's fine. I actually really enjoyed Mortal Shell last month.

Me and my girlfriend got round to playing this together last month and absolutely LOVED it. Fantastic animation, excellent voice acting, brilliant writing and a thrilling atmosphere. Soooo compelling from start to finish. Can’t wait for a sequel

@awp69 have you tried deleting the original disc version, restoring licenses in system settings and then downloading the ps+ version?

@redcorpuscle I had to do it via the PS5 console specifically. I did try via the phone app and that didn’t work. I ended up doing a search on the store for it and found it that way. There was a drop down called “Game” which let me select the PS5 version and I could add the it to my library from then. I can’t remember exactly what I did so just a bit of trial and error might be needed!

Was able to start downloading it here in the UK. Was a bit tricky to find the right place to download it but t'is now downloading!

Really want that Bloodborne patch to happen! Playing Mortal Shell has really got me in the Soulsborne mood but I really want to hold out for a patch. I believe!

@CrushALL no need for all the aggression. People are allowed to enjoy multiple consoles. Take a chill pill. Does it really affect your life that much?

@Old-Red they’ve hardly shot themselves in the foot. They’ve sold over 5 million units as of Aug 2020 and that’s not including those who have played via PS+. Also, I guarantee they’ll sell two versions of Part 2 - Stand alone and packaged up with Part 1 for the very reason you’ve mentioned.

Told myself I wasn’t going to play the PS+ Mortal Shell because I was disappointed not to get the upgrade, however after platinuming Death’s Door I needed something else to play and so decided to give it a go. Am actually really loving it.
