Even if they change their plans I can still see the big budget games costing £100+ million definitely coming to Playstation day one, games like Call of Duty, Elder Scrolls, Diablo, Fallout and possibly Fable, heck even Blade might come over too. But they will have some exclusives even if it's just timed, smaller titles like Avowed, South of Midnight and Clockwork.
Then platform icons like Gears, Forza and Halo should definitely stay exclusive no matter what, these are the games that for me define the brand "Xbox", Just like how Mario, Zelda and Pokémon are what people think of when you mention Nintendo.
Also I think if it wasn't for gamepass then everything would be staying exclusive, they might not admit it but we all know the only reason any games are coming to Playstation at all is because gamepass has cannibalised game sales, and these games can't be sustained on monthly subscription fees alone.
Microsoft have really put themselves in an awkward situation and there's no win win scenario. Either stick with gamepass and put games on Playstation, or make everything exclusive and strip back gamepass to something similar to Playstation Plus so people actually have to buy games unless they want to wait 12-18 months.
@Oram77 I saw the part about making certain aspects easier but in return it makes other things harder so that the challenge is maintained, I admit I suck at hard games especially roguelikes so I'd want the overall challenge to be lowered altogether instead of being maintained. But unlike others im not going to bash the game for it, I will just simply wait for a sale or for it to come on Playstation plus otherwise it's a big gamble for me to buy this day one.
Great to see the game score well, personally I won't be buying the game day one due it's difficulty but I don't mind picking it up in a sale or once it hits playstation plus.
Let them have their exclusives back, only Forza has sold well anyway whilst the rest have sold pathetically. Like I've said before if Playstation gamers wanted to play Xbox games then they would have bought an Xbox already, Xbox going back to having exclusives will effect Playstation in no shape or form.
But for the minority that do want to play Xbox games then I can guarantee those games will be on Playstation in 2-3 years time, or if you're impatient then you're better off getting the new steam machine as it will be much cheaper that the Helix.
There will also be some games too big not to be put onto Playstation day one such as Call of Duty, Fallout 5 and Elder Scrolls 6, these are the games Playstation gamers will care about the most.
People need to stop bringing up dead IP's that the majority of Playstation gamers just weren't interested in (Killzone and Resistance), there's a reason Guerilla moved on, otherwise they would have been closed down by now.
If Guerilla were to make something else then I'd rather it be a brand new IP.
@MrPeanutbutterz Exactly, this is their last throw of the dice. Companies in desperate situations make these kind of moves as an attempt to attract customers quickly. Sony following them just isn't necessary yet especially if there's no drop is Playstation Plus numbers.
They must be getting desperate then, if they don't see a growth to gamepass over the next year or two then you can guarantee they will keep their games coming to Playstation. That growth will also fluctuate once this news hits the casuals as theres probably a decent amount of players who are subscribed just for call of duty.
I think the sea one half of the year will be all about DLC from Capcom. I can see Dragons Dogma 2, Monster Hunter Stories 3, Monster Hunter Wilds and Resident Evil Requiem all getting substantial DLC.
@Questionable_Duck Tbf I don't get why people expected Xbox games to do well on Playstation, if Playstation gamers wanted to play these IP's then they would have bought an Xbox at some point over the last 4 gens to play them. Just because they are all of a sudden coming to Playstation consoles doesnt mean people are going to be more interested, hence why Gears of War Reloaded didn't take off.
The games that will do well are the ones from Activision and Bethesda, whereas the original Xbox studio games are probably better off staying exclusive.
@Oram77 at £1000 most definitely compared to PS5 sales. I believe there is a limit to what a customer is willing to pay and at that price that's over the limit of most. Just look at the Pro sales, they have tanked at their new price.
If anything the new Xbox Helix will have competition from Sony as usual but this time round there's also Steam with a PC console that they could lose their players to as well.
Its going to be an interesting next gen between Playstation, Xbox and Steam and it could just come down to who doesn't break the £1000 mark. Even the Lenovo Legion Go 2 2TB just doubled in price to nearly $3000.
I also think it depends on the games budget, games like Call of Duty and Elder Scrolls are definitely going to stay multiplatform no matter what happens.
@Oram77 I think it will sell much less than the Series consoles have, especially if the rumoured £1000+ price is real. It's a big gamble on their behalf to make games exclusive again, at most I can see their games maybe being 6-12 month timed exclusives.
Let it happen as they don't do anything that's an interest to me anyway, but I'd give it 5 years after the Helix has flopped and the games will be back on Playstation and Nintendo.
Il be happy when GTA 6 releases so everything can go back to normal, not interested in the game myself but all the tiptoeing around it is starting to get annoying.
Maybe Push are reporting on this because many users have repeatedly said on here how wonderful Gamepass is compared to Playstation Plus and other users saying Sony should do the same.
I'd says it's in Pushsquares responsibility to keep Playstation gamers and fans up to date with how these business models are doing and how they could effect Playstation going forward if Sony were ever to reconsider their strategy.
I've seen a lot of articles on here on disgruntled ex employees with something negative to say about their previous employer, so what's wrong with this one?
Are Push not allowed to do articles relating to studios who publish games on Playstation just because they are own by Microsoft?
People can moan about push trying to fan the flames but those that are complaining are actaully the ones fanning the flames.
Maybe Purexbox should also stop doing articles like this as well then as they are talking about a Sony Studio, or is that different?
@Oram77 It was the same with Yo Kai Watch, they had the games, the merch, the collectible medals, the anime and a film. But it didn't take off like they wanted it to, makes me wonder why they are attempting it a second time.
They are planning for this to be a huge multi media project with more news later this year. So I'd say it will start with an Anime or Film, then some merchandise, maybe a TCG, then finish with the game. So I'm saying early 2028 with this in mind.
Kinda hoping Level 5 are quite successful over the next two years. There's quite a few big releases with a new Professor Layton, Inazuma, Decapolice, Horror Mansion Story and a Snackworld Remake, all being multiplatform should help them do well. Then hopefully they can move onto something I've been craving for years now, Ni No Kuni 3 😉.
@cainhurst94 I'd say Nintendo has some terms in Bravely Defaults contract that excludes it ever coming to Playstation, or doesn't come to Playstation until a certain time has passed. It's the only logical reason for it.
@Grumblevolcano Not just Level 5 games though, it's also games like Bravely Default, Rune Factory, Monster Hunter Stories etc. These games used to be third party exclusives for Nintendo. Same has happened with Playstation with Final Fantasy, Stellar Blade 2 etc these consoles are going to get a lot less third party exclusives.
@JimmyRiddle Deliver us the Moon was the first game and Deliver us Mars was the sequel. Both games were pretty good tbf and deserving to be on this list.
With sales like this it won't be long before they reverse the price increase, well in Japan atleast.
Selling hardware for cheaper but selling more of it is surely a better outcome than selling hardware that costs more but in return getting less sales.
This is why PS5 was the best selling console over the last holiday period, because they had a decent sale on the consoles. More customers means more game sales, more ps plus subscribers and more people buying MTX that Sony get a cut of, selling hardware for cheaper is offset by this. Raising the prices was the wrong decision.
@Max_the_German Same here, it's even more annoying when the misses is watching me playing a game, every time a trophy unlocks she's like what's that for.
Can't say I've ever paid much attention to my trophy list so this doesn't really affect me, I mean I've played hundreds of Nintendo games over last 10 years without any such system and haven't felt the need for it either. I prefer to play games to have fun, not earn bragging rights, just my opinion by the way.
Maybe they can include an option to turn off trophies altogether, it's there for those they want them but also for those that don't then it's something you can turn off.
It's one of the most overhyped series imo. Disney pretty much carries the game, take out and replace any Disney related content and this series would fail to sell a couple million.
@dskatter @INeedGoodGraphics Steam trackers track how many people are playing right now, not the daily total, that 88k highest peak means thats the highest amount of players playing at one time, not how many players played that day.

Re: Xbox Game Pass vs PS Plus: Was Sony Right All Along?
@Krlozgod nope there's more Playstation plus subscribers (51.6 million) and Gamepass has a bigger install base as it's on PC and Xbox consoles.
Re: Xbox Game Pass vs PS Plus: Was Sony Right All Along?
Of course Sony were right all along, the evidence is there for all to see.
Re: Mar 2026 USA Sales: Pokémon-Powered Switch 2 Finally Beats 5-Year-Old PS5

It's a great variety that's for sure, for me though it's just The Casting of Frank Stone.

Dispatch was the first game I played on my Steam Deck, such a great game. I will also get round to playing E33 at some point this year.

Just The Casting of Frank Stone for me this month then, which is fine as I will have Mouse PI for Hire and Pragmata to get through.
Re: Starfield PS5 Sales Estimates Leave Much to Be Desired
Take away the refunds and it's even less 😬.

@INeedGoodGraphics That 30,000 is just how many are playing at that given time, it's actually closer to 200k playing the game daily just on steam.
