Think Sony was done with new colourways for your PS5 console and controllers? It's kicking off 2026 with a new range, entitled the Hyperpop Collection.
Here's a good look at the vivid new designs in this flashy video:
The three colours, available for DualSense PS5 controllers as well as PS5 console covers, are Techno Red, Remix Green, and Rhythm Blue.
Each of them features a bright, neon hue that fades into black at the top for a very different, very snazzy look. It appears that these designs also feature a glossy finish.

These designs are apparently inspired "by the glow of the RGB lights of your impressive gaming setups", according to PlayStation's Leo Cardoso on PS Blog. Sae Kobayashi also points out the console covers feature "a subtle hint of transparency", which is a nice touch.
Unfortunately it seems the console covers are only for the regular PS5; those with a PS5 Pro won't be able to use them.
Pre-orders for these products begin on 16th January, 2026, and will launch on 12th March. The DualSense controllers will set you back $84.99 USD/€84.99/£74.99, while the console covers (available in "limited quantities") are going for $74.99 USD/€74.99/£64.99.
You'll be able to buy them from PS Direct or other participating retailers.

Ugh, I have too many! Must resist the temptation to buy the blue!
Everything certainly is an Xbox. Especially the green one.
I hate red. So no to that. The bue is too light, Navy blue for the win. Green ones not to bad though.

No love for us PS5 Pro owners with the plates 😤. I'd like the techno red and neon green colors on a DualSense Edge. But I can't go back to a standard DualSense controller.

Love the Green controller! I like the red one as well but the thumb sticks coloring looks a lil off.

It still seems like an absolute joke that the slim faceplates don't fit the Pro console. It would have been a very easy thing for Sony to do.

Ngl these are some of the most creative designs yet compared to the first couple of years into the gen.
Green my be my favourite but the red and blue look good too and I would honestly be happy with any of the sets.
I do think Blue will sell out first given PS fans might not want Xbox or Nintendo adjacent colours on their precious router box haha.
I don't know who decided to make the pro plates incompatible but we need to get that person.

Nothing for my Pro, but at least there is a good green this time. I'll probably pick it up to match the neon green Xbox color.
I just like the controllers. Don't like the consoles. But I think all 3 controller colours look equally nice.
Also noticed that the skins are only for PS5 slim. Are there no skins for the PS5 originals?
If they no longer support the original ps5, then that just means don't be the first to buy ps6 and wait for a refresh. Coz otherwise won't get skins like these.
I like the controllers and would like to get the red one, but PS Direct is one of those stores where whenever I approach their doors I hear them locking and bolting them shut, shouting from behind the glass "Shop somewhere else you stinky Norwegian, your kind is not welcome here". It makes me sad.

The red has some serious Tron Ares vibes but I'm happy with my camo plates. Also the above aren't available for the base model.
