Can guarantee that PS5 version is getting stored ready for a few years time when it comes to PS5 as part of another "it's just 4 games" scenario.

Sony didn't need it anyway, their show was still better and has already had the most views. If anything Microsoft should be kicking themselves as they just lost a way to get a lot of attention for this game.

Noting will make me buy an Xbox Console. Between having the latest Playstation and Nintendo consoles I have too many games to play as is, and I will not give money to a corporation wanting to consolidate the market.

@Swandivetotheasphalt Same dude who kept saying the Xbox show was for the JRPG's. As a JRPG player I'm disappointed by what was shown.

These games have been getting updates for years now, surely people are unhappy they keep getting time at these shows.

Quite enjoyed the first one so I will definitely pick this up, but given the first had loads of DLC I will wait for a complete package.

@PsBoxSwitchOwner It's so strange how they are currently basing their decisions on what twitter trolls want. Most of those on twitter don't even play games and are just trolling for comments as it now brings them revenue if they have a blue tick.

If there's one thing I've learnt about Microsoft is that they don't stick to plans. If the Helix is a flop and Gamepass does not grow over the next 2-3 years then I would expect more closures and them going all out with PS5 ports again.

Well Hellblade 3 and State of Decay 3 were not already announced for Playstation.

As a mainly JRPG (and Japanese games in general) player I was quite underwhelmed with this show.

@darylb24 How, they've showed pretty much nothing but a logo, a logo that was already leaked along side characters that were missing from this trailer.

Still can't believe people were trying to convince others the Xbox Showcase was going to be the one for JRPG's 😬.

Apart from State of Decay 3 and Fable there wasn't anything else that interested me in Xbox's show and as a JRPG mainly player I found the show quite lacking. Even the Persona 6 trailer was one of the worst and most pointless trailers I've ever seen, still don't know anything about the game. Oh well atleast Xbox only players can celebrate having two exclusives.

Hopefully Nintendo have a direct lined up for next week otherwise for me SGF was the best show, closely followed by the SoP. Final Fantasy 7 Revelations, Attack on Titan 3, God of War Laufey and Tomb Raider were the highlights for me.

Hard to get excited for this since I've already completed it several times on PS2 and Vita.

I'm surprised it didn't get announced for the Switch 2 though.

Also Gears being an Xbox Console exclusive does that mean it's not going to PC either?

State of Decay 3 is coming to PS5! I think this and Fable would be the only games from Xbox id be interested in so to have them both coming to PS5 is a big win.

@DennisReynolds Yeah it does seem that way, it's like if you prefer playstation you get bullied off the site. I've seen many instances (including myself years ago) where people have been ganged up on by multiple users and if you dare say anything back you get reported. That's why for me Push and NintendoLife are much better managed in that regard, both these sites can take critism of their platform without removing the comments.

@get2sammyb It might be a case of them removing the PlayStation logo from the trailer they are going to show, maybe someone has seen the trailer and told Grubb the PS5 logo is missing and he's automatically thinking it's been cancelled.

He will then go months getting clout for being right, until Xbox confirm it is indeed coming to PS5 😂.

Maybe it's coming to Playstation 5 but they have removed the logo on the trailer they are going to show, someone has saw the trailer, thinks its exclusive and told Grubb?

One thing for certain, after their showcase today it will still not be clear what games are coming to Playstation 5 or not. Third Party ones like Persona are 100% coming but for their First Party games they will most likely leave it until closer to release to unveil them for PS5.

@Swandivetotheasphalt I was thinking the same, especially for some Asian games that skip Xbox just because Xbox sales in their region are very poor to non existent. Like the gacha games and some JRPG's like the Trails series. Just because Playstation gets a game that Xbox don't doesn't means Sony signed some deal for it.

Also prior to gamepass Gears of War 1-3 sold around 6 million copies each, this ain't the massive series people think it is and it's 100% not going to shift 20 million consoles 😂.

This is the reason I don't own an Xbox, if I wanted to play games like this then I would, same probably goes for millions of other Playstation players who if they wanted to play Gears of War then they would have by now. This not coming to Playstation is not going to make a difference in console sales.

Yet another VR game getting a non VR version, less and less reasons to get a VR going forward.

@KawakiisaFraud Damn, Attack on Titan getting more views than Final Fantasy is definitely not a good look for Square.

@NerdyPaul I think it depends on how Sony have worked with the third party, for example part funding the game is fair to ask for timed exclusivity in return.

Depends how much money is on the table, these devs will go to who offers them more money or where it's cheapest to have a slot in the show, however it works I don't know.

For Final Fantasy though it's pretty obvious Sony and Square have some beef, so that doesn't surprise me, for Sega games Microsoft are paying for them, whereas Sony are currently paying Konami for their reveals and some exclusivity.

I think it's all down to how much Sony want to pay for these reveals and marketing, now that more and more devs are moving aways from exclusivity deals Sony may not think it's worth it to help market certain games anymore. Why pay hundreds of thousands when you can let other shows reveal the games and still get the majority share of those games sales.

Take Metaphor Re Fantazio for example, Microsoft had the rights to revealing the game and marketing yet 60-70% of its sales were on Playstation, same will happen with Persona 6.

I voted for excellent (10/10), best SGF so far with quite a lot of reveals that I'm interested in such as FF7 part 3, new Stellar Blade, Monster Hunter Wilds DLC, Attack on Titan 3, Resident Evil Code Veronica, Alien Isolation 2, Gen Atlas and Wolf Among Us 2.

Much better than the SoP for me personally and with just Persona I'm interested in from the Xbox Showcase I'd say SGF will be the standout show this "non E3".

@MrPeanutbutterz I'd definitely reccomend picking up a Switch 2 at some point, having a PS5 and Switch 2 is the perfect combo for gaming in my opinion.

@somnambulance Exactly, more flip flopping just from a different leader, basically Phil 2.0. It's like she wants one thing but her higher ups want another. She's trying to please both her shareholders and fans at the same time but it will just end up badly.

Pretty obvious to me that any game with a 100+ million budget will be on Playstation whilst any smaller titles will stay exclusive for a year or two. So games like Elder Scrolls 6 will multiplatform, and games like Clockwork will stay exclusive. This is the only way to balance the books and make gamepass sustainable, all whilst staying a top publisher if that's what they want.

Seems like I will be watching this then, hopefully it's much better than last year's show.

@FreasurePlanten I can't say for 100% but usually for new reveals it's just Sega stuff, and this time round I've already pretty much seen what's for Persona 6. That just leaves Persona 4 Remake which I can just watch a trailer for after the show.

@darylb24 Well Final Fantasy 7 part three is now meant to be at the SGF.

Maybe Gathering is getting canned and Sony want this on Playstation instead, hence the delay.

@ElusiveBounty I rated it a 7/10 in the comments and I did indeed name those games as ones Im looking forward to, but I needed more games to suit me (jrpgs) for it to be any higher than a 7.
