@Jey887 I played MHS 2 first, there's a few returning characters but the plot and protagonist are completely new and so you don't need to play the first game.

Great month for me with Spider-Man 2, Neva and Echoes of the End. Definitely got my monies worth this month that's for sure.

Well on Metacritic it has a 8.0 user rating so far, so I'd say the majority obviously disagree with this clown.

And that is why God of War has grown since he's left.....

Those four being Sonic, Persona, Like a Dragon and Football Manager. I doubt they class anything else as a "mainstay".

Hopefully Sony see the overwhelming positive response to the show and keep the momentum going with future SoP's.

The trailer sold me on this last night, visuals and gunplay are looking top tier.

Super looking forward to this one, really intrigued to see what Gamefreak can do when their constraints are off.

Quite a lot of games shown in very interested in, also for those put off by souls like games Beast of Reincarnation will have an easy mode.

@Enuo it's pretty wild that a Gamefreaks biggest game so far gets announced by Microsoft, release date announced by Sony, and isn't releasing on Nintendo.

@Ashina I wouldn't expect Square Enix to show up much on Sony's shows going forward, they are currently brown nosing Nintendo.

This is going to be a big year for Sony, several decent exclusives both first and third party. Some live service games across console, pc and mobile that could be huge hits that Sony need. Microsoft launching their new flagship titles on Playstation, and GTA 6 releasing during the holiday season. Those consoles are going to be flying off the shelves.

@Haruki_NLI I wouldn't be surprised if their team was split in three, one for a brand new game, one for the trilogy remake and one small team for the 2.5D game.

That's was an excellent showing 9/10, best state of play so far. Just missing that one special trailer to make a 10/10.

@Boxmonkey Because I've seen enough online that shows the majority are hating on this game just because it's not a single player game, something Sony are only "allowed" to do without getting backlash. It doesn't matter about the visuals as the other horizon online game got hate as well, as does Marathon, Concord, Fairgames and they had different art styles and gameplay. The amount of celebration I've seen online when Sony cancels a live service game is embarrassing, devs put time and effort into these games just for players to throw s**t at them just because it doesn't cater to them. We have all seen it on here so let's not pretend Sony doesn't get extra flak for making live service games compared to other devs.

I can guarantee half of those filling in the survey had no intentions of playing the game to begin with. But instead used it to tell Sony to stick to single player games.

Seems like they had enough of the trolling and took it down. Instead they should include a survey into the beta that becomes available after a couple hours of gameplay, that way its more likely to be genuine feedback from people actually interested in multiplayer games.

@StitchJones Game engines are capable of a multitude of art styles, just like how unreal engine is used for hyper realistic games and cartoon looking games.

10/10 from me, playing this is making me want to play more Dragon Quest games, Monsters and Heroes is next for me I think.

I like the idea but it's just not what I was hoping for. Over the past few years I was building this up in my mind to being an Horizon Monster Hunter game, with the exact same gameplay and visuals as Forbidden West.

Sony need to be really careful with this game, if this has a Concord moment then that could really effect the main Horizon games going forward.

@Iplaygames4565 I'm signed up to the beta as well, might as well give it a try as it's free, if you don't like the beta then you know not to waste your time with the full release.

30% complete so far and having a blast, hopefully they plan on Remaking DQ9 next.

Well hopefully this turns out better than arc raiders, for £35 it's worth taking the risk.

I've got a feeling the only first party title shown at the SoP is going to be Saros, disappointing if that's the case.

It's just boring now, for some reason Sony is the only publisher not allowed to allowed to make multiplayer games. Where was the hate for that Microsoft game Kiln?

Yeah this game ain't for me either, but I ain't selfish enough to expect a publisher to only make games that cater to me.

Some interesting predictions there, id like to throw a Monster Hunter Wilds Expansion to that list, it's been a year now since it's release and the last two main games also got expansions a year after release.

Voted for Trails Beyond the Horizon but I didn't play it for more than an hour, not because it's bad but because I only played Cold Steel 1 and 2 before jumping to the Daybreak games, so seeing someone who I thought was "dead" kinda ruined it for me. So yeah I stopped playing and started Cold Steel 3 instead.

@get2sammyb Couldn't agree more, the entitlement from some gamers is unreal.

This ain't Horizon, and definitely not what I was expecting it to look like. Disappointed is putting it lightly.

@Max_the_German tbf a lot of Xbox one users probably had a PS4 as well so you wouldn't see much of a jump in the share of the market for Sony, plus id wager most of the players leaving Xbox are just going to PC as they can play their already bought games there.

Let's see how the goalposts get moved now.

Maybe it's time I jumped back in, hopefully they give more effort into their seasonal events instead of re using the same events every year.

@Damage99 Series S is more capable than the Switch 2 so going forward the Series S won't be alone in holding some games back and giving some devs headaches. The Switch 2 becoming popular with third party devs will mean the PS5 will be supported for the majority of the PS6 life cycle, which I suppose would benefit Sony's plans for an handheld.

Oh well, kiss goodbye to top tier marketing then.

Completed chapter one and then dropped the game, mainly because I wasn't happy with my pulls. I've had 4 6 star character pulls and it was one guy three times and the other guy once. Plus the story is kinda lame, so yeah back to wutha for me 😅.

Probably a bad move to release the game the same year as Mario Kart World, I'd say it's biggest audience would have been on Nintendo and they were already getting MKW and Kirby Air Riders.

That's probably just replacing the current wallet, so wallet credit is just how much money you've topped up your account with.

There's a reason Xcloud didn't take off on mobile, no one wants to play games using a touchscreen. You spend most of the time missing the inputs and have to keep checking where they are before you press. That's why most avid mobile gamers use a proper controller attachment.

Not a great month for me this time round, but it's ok as February is looking stacked for new games I'm going to buy anyway.

PC store is easier to publish on and has less optimisation fuss whilst theres more work to be done to get the games running on set hardware. So of course the smaller devs are going to prioritise PC first, and then bring their games to console later if the demand is worth the effort. Also PC gets a lot more shovelware, probably has more visual novels and adult only games than the PS5 has in total.

That's a very big ambitious "might".

Especially coming from Compile Heart, them and Furyu games are always half baked.

@T-Bone09 They released TLOU Part 2 in June 2020 for PS4, in November that year came the PS5. So it's definitely something they have done before

@Mattock1987 It has some exploration segments where you can walk around the estate investigating.

Concord was a £34.99 game, this is free so I would expect it to have a much higher peak, but for its second day numbers to be that low means this game won't last long.
