Probably show a teaser at Xbox Showcase at most, but considering it will mostly consist of what I've already seen from the leaks I know i can skip the show as this would have been the only thing id be interested in.

If that blonde guy is the protagonist then I'm not happy with that at all.

@RoomWithaMoose I was thinking more proper games rather than those that are just mini games or fitness games but I suppose I'm just being picky that way. I think their last meaningful IP was ARMS which I wish they made a sequel to instead of giving us DragxDrive.

@Balaam_ You have to take into consideration those voting that don't even like Playstation to begin with and are just voting to bring the score down, it also happens with the games polls where some people vote 1/10 abysmal just because it's a Sony game or a live service game etc.

@Gbarsotini Luckily those complaining are the minority, look even closer and you will see that some of them aren't even Playstation gamers anyway, especially on twitter. These games will do just fine and are actually wanted by people who enjoy these types of games, these are the games a lot of people buy a Playstation for.

Nintendo, Microsoft and many other Studios get a free pass.

Even excluding Nintendo (who's last new IP was in 2017), people don't seem to have a problem with Halo, Gears and Forza getting their 8th+ iterations.

God of War Laufey for me, and easily. Game looked incredible and hopefully isn't too far away from releasing.

Just goes to show how in demand Wolverine and God of War are. Both should sell insanely well.

You know when Sony are giving us a great game when all the haters come out the woodwork. Game looked fantastic and hopefully it does well so that we get more spin offs in the future.

It's a shame you can't have a female protagonist in games without people either bringing up the words "Woke" or "DEI", either that or people complaining they are too ugly or unrealistically attractive. These things are not a problem in gaming at all, in fact for those fixated on these labellings I'd say you're the problem, maybe revaluate your life and get some councilling if fictional female characters in games bring out so much hate.

@darylb24 Apart from the Sega games they are paying for what other JRPG's have Xbox announced?

If anything I'd say Nintendo directs are for the JRPG's like Monster Hunter Stories, Dragon Quest Monsters, Shin Megami, Fire Emblem, Xenoblade, Rune Factory etc

@andykara2003 Definitely does seem the old Sony are back, with Wolverine, Until Dawn 2, Marvel Tokon, God of War Laufey and Intergalactic coming over the next 18 months (maybe), the focus on single player games seems to be back.

I rated it good (7/10), the new God of War game was the highlight for me as it looked incredible. Also interested in Wolverine, Tomb Raider and Rayman but other than that anything else I may get in sale like Until Dawn 2 and Silent Hill Townfall.

For me personally it was missing more Japanese games, where was the Wilds Expansion and Rev.Noir. I think the previous SoP was much better and will be hard to beat.

Over to Nintendo and Geoff next, hopefully they can show some games that are more my taste.

Not of fan of Cyberpunk at all, both game or the anime so I'm one of the few not looking forward to this. I just hope it isn't forced upon me to complete but from what I can tell it can be entirely skipped as it's separate from the main story.

I hope to see some more of Rev.Noir from Konami, and Capcom to show off the Monster Hunter Wilds expansion. Any other Jrpgs/Japanese games would be great too.

Also she says they are seeing how they can adjust for future xbox shows, so does that mean PS5 logos will still be shown during their upcoming showcase.

Like I said before even without logos I think it's safe to assume they will be coming to Playstation at some point, at worst case they will just be timed like Forza Horizon 6. Pretty obvious any third party stuff is coming to Playstation day one, games like Persona 4 Remake etc.

With the amount of lies they've spouted in the past I wouldn't believe them anyway even if a trailer didn't show the PS5 logo. Logo or not it's best to assume any big budget titles will be coming to Playstation, as the new leadership are currently trying to tread lightly around their fans as they don't want backlash this soon.

So short term they will go back to having some exclusives to keep their loyal fans happy but their long term goal will be full multiplatform for everything.

@Canadadry Saros was never going to sell like Sony's other big games and no one expected it too either. Returnal sold 900k in one year, Saros sold 300k (apparently) in one week, it's a very niche genre.

@11001100110zero The Portal doesn't need a PS5 if you have premium, with premium it's a standalone streaming console.

Next gen is certain to be the worst one yet in terms of unit sales, excluding Nintendo of course. So many gamers will be priced out and this gen will be supported for many years to come.

I have the OLED and tbh with this news I'm tempted to sell it for more than I bought it for. But, since I've only just started a few games on it I will keep it for now.

How anyone can justify paying close to a thousand for a device that can't run most of the newest games is beyond me.

It's one of the best live service games out now so hopefully more people give it a chance during this free period.

Been really enjoying the game, put in over 100 hours so far. Looking forward to season 2, plus they are adding a PVE mode that season as well.

@danzoEX The majority of it will just them be talking about the series and that they have multiple projects in the works, then at the end show a small cutscene for 12 revealing the main character. I think a proper gameplay trailer will be saved for a Nintendo direct.

Basically an announcement for a show for further announcements, I've literally just lost all hype.

I also wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo have locked down the first trailer for 12 anyway.

Looking forward to this as I've enjoyed every game they've put out so far.

My love for Dragon has grown over the last year or so so I'd welcome more games, I'd love to see an new Builders or Heroes, IX Remake, X offline coming west and XII get a new trailer.

@LogicStrikesAgain I believe that cloud streaming should be available for all tiers, then for premium you're left with the classics which they are adding 1-2 per month at most and the movies which for me I'm not interested in, hence why I'd rather see streaming on the other tiers so I can downgrade to Extra.

I think Essential and Extra are definitely worth the price and are good value, but Premiums offerings are just poor and I'm only subscribed for the cloud streaming. If I do get the email il use this chance to let them know that the cloud streaming should be available on the Essential/Extra tiers and that Premium should be scrapped. Or have one tier where you can pick and choose the perks you want with the price going up the more you choose, so starts at £3.99 for saves and online play, then an extra £2-3 per perk like the Essential monthly games, Extra catalogue, Cloud Streaming, Classic games, Crunchyroll sub etc.

Do I need any settings ticked as I never seem to get emails from Sony, like ever. I'm still waiting to be invited to any beta programs which Ive been signed up for a year now, and still no invite to the Horizon Hunters Gathering beta.

Or maybe the games devs can implement better loading screens, with either interactive mini games or in game information browsing. I remember Splatoon 1 which had a mini game you could play whilst waiting for matchmaking. Surely advertising is not the answer and will just incur major backlash, although if it's for third party games then it's out of Sony's control anyway.

But whatever they do, just keep ads away from the home UI, that's something I couldn't tolerate personally and would move away from Playstation if they ever did.

Luckily this shouldn't be a problem with users on here as no one plays or likes live service games anyway...... Right?

Any chance you could put out a schedule for all the events coming up, I know so far we have the SGF, Sony and Xbox shows but other ones will usually take place around the same time as well. We also have a Dragon Quest presentation coming up this week, Konami may also be back with a show like last year.

Although I'm loving Marathon I still think they could have made an Extraction Shooter within Destiny 2 as a new mode.

Instead of collabs I wish someone would do an open world gacha based off the Fate series.
