Re: Wolverine PS5 Release Date Reveal Sparks Bluepoint Cover-Up Claims

@jFug Helldivers 2 is the only success they’ve had in the live service space

How many games have they released in the live service space? Since the PS5 released they've had one failure Concord and 3 successful in HellDivers 2, MLB and Gran Turismo 7. Destiny 2 and all it's expansions are also doing good and Marathon doesn't look like it's going to be a failure either. Ghost of Yotei Legends also seems to be wanted by fans although that game won't be monetised so I don't think Sony care too much about that one.

@SMJ I'm a Playstation and Nintendo gamer and whilst I don't like Xbox (I have owned them before) I don't really care if they stick around. One of the reasons I started to despise them was because of their attempt at outspending the competition by buying two of the biggest publishers around, then those leaked emails about who to buy next such as Nintendo and Square and the email about basically running Sony out of business, kind of gave them this bully attitude just because of their trillions.

But that has changed now that they are a third party publisher, but I still think they shouldn't be allowed to buy any more big publishers going forward.

In terms of giving Sony competition, I just don't see it. You don't push your competitor to compete by giving them your biggest games day one, and raising your prices above the market leader. Right now Nintendo and Steam are Sony's main competition so Xbox not being around will make no difference tbh, especially with those poor console figures.

So I don't mind if they stick around but just leave the big publishers and Nintendo alone.

Theres no going back now in terms of bringing their games to Playstation and Nintendo, especially when new games from their top 4 IP's are already coming this year. It would be another 5+ years before the next games from these IP's come out and the damage would well and truly be done by then. Xbox's game indentity will be gone and gamepass will no doubt get more price increases, the only reason to carry on investing into their consoles would be to play your existing library if that matters to you.

Also how are Insonmiac releasing top AAA games so fast? You had Spider-Man 1 in 2018, Miles Morales in 2020, Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart in 2021, Spider-Man 1 Remastered in 2022, Spider-Man 2 in 2023 and now this in 2026. Other studio's need to learn from these guys.

Re: Sony Returns to Social Media After 72 Hour Hiatus But Fans Still Aren't Happy Following Bluepoint Closure

UltimateOtaku91

@Bsb56 Exactly the point I was trying to make the other day, Arc Raiders has sold more (nearly double) than the last two game of the year games combined (Astro Bot and E33). That just goes to show live service games are just more in demand than single player games, it's not that Sony is out of touch with its fans, it's that the "fans" that visit gaming sites are just the minority.

Re: Sony Goes Silent on Social Media for Over 72 Hours as Fans Turn Feral Following Bluepoint Closure

UltimateOtaku91

Wow you would think they had closed down Naughty Dog or Insonmiac, this is a studio who's games didn't sell well so if only theses people complaining bought Bluepoints games to begin with. Where was the backlash of this magnitude when Japan Studio and London Studio were closed?

If Bluepoint didn't get shut down then we would be getting yet another live service game (god of war online), I wonder how that would have went down....

@graymamba From what I've seen on twitter Xbots are now doing a 180. A year ago they all of a sudden started to say exclusives are pointless and they don't care who plays their games and gloating Microsoft are now the biggest publisher, yet over the last 24 hours they are now begging this new CEO to make their games exclusive again πŸ˜‚.

Microsoft have a choice, listen to their fans and lose out on billions from Playstation and Nintendo sales, or stay multiplatform and be the biggest publisher. Either way they either hurt their brand and fans egos or lose out on huge revenue.
