I've not actually played any of the show games before to be honest, but I do have access to one of them with playstation plus, so might give it a try sometime. Yeah I understand what you mean about them probably already too invested in making the show games, but perhaps Sony could have prevent it from going to game pass if they was the publisher for the xbox version or something like that 🤔

To be honest I have never played mlb the show before, although I do have access to one of the earlier games on playstation plus If I wanted to give it a try. Yeah I get what you mean by continuing what they already make, but perhaps the game pass situation could have a least been avoided by Sony publishing it on xbox too, seen as they agreed to make it on xbox anyway 🤷

To be honest, I will have no sympathy for Sony if the game sells like crap. In my opinion they should have just let the licence go and have the developer do something else, rather than agree to make it on xbox and for it then to appear day one on game pass 😂

Oh great, a pc release trailer for one of my favourite ex playstation exclusives that probably won't even get a sequel. I hope it sells like crap to discourage Sony with more pc port plans. Unless as another comment said it could help Sony to do a sequel. Having said that Sony bend apparently wanted to make it a multilayer online game, so perhaps a good thing we might not get a sequel anyway.

I played the first game and enjoyed it on ps2. However I don't think they will go back to the series, not at the moment anyway as we have ratchet and clank, sackboy and astrobot for exclusive platform games.

I hope kojima is still working with playstation and not xbox. Also didn't Sony give kojima productions the decima engine to use? Perhaps that was just for death stranding. However I can only imagine the outrage if the next kojima game is xbox exclusive and using the decima engine. Almost as bad as mlb going to game pass, lol

I have my eye on this game for when I get a ps5, looks great. Although I can't see myself paying £70 for many games if it becomes the standard for new AAA games, however I'm getting a little tired of hearing people complain about it. Either but a game you want at launch of wait for a price cut 🤷‍♂️

I remember trying to get the platinum Trophy on far cry 3 and far cry 4 on the ps3, but I gave up because of the annoying online Trophies. I did finally get the far cry 3 remastered platinum on ps4 though as thankfully no online Trophies.

Personally I would rather bluepoint make something else such as the rumored metal gear solid remake. I have bloodborne on playstation plus and couldn't be bothered to get past the first boss. I'm interested in trying demon souls though sometime when I get a ps5.

Knowing Sony it will probably just be getting a pc port and nothing for ps5, just like death stranding and horizon zero dawn lol

Yeah I have heard good things about it and it seems like a well optimised game too. Well it's not so much about patience but I have a lot of back log games, and there is a few I haven't played such as doom eternal and crash bandicoot 4 that will have free upgrades for when I get a ps5. I will probably play them on both platforms though.

I got the game late last year on offer from playstation store. I haven't played it yet, and I'm not sure if to play it on my ps4 pro or wait till I get a ps5 and get the free upgrade. I didn't think I would like it but the first game was great, I never played the original games though.

I'm not that familiar with many of Sony japan studio games, but my understanding is that they don't sell too well? And a lot of the people leaving seem to be a lot of producers so perhaps Sony is trimming the fat to make the studio for efficient or something like that.

I don't think Sony is abandoning Japan, but their priorities would have shifted more to the western market with less interest for consoles in Japan. But I'm sure Sony will be happy if they can sell around 10 million consoles in Japan each generation, but even without the 9-10 million ps4s they have sold in Japan the ps4 would still now be over 100 million anyway.

What is this playstation 5 that people are talking about, I haven't seen the existence of such a thing.

I have heard a few rumours that blupoint games was making metal gear solid remake at the same time as making demon souls remake, which I think is possibly or maybe I'm just hoping it is true. Sony is also rumoured to purchase blupoint games and was waiting to see how the demons souls remake turned out first, which I hope is true as well if only to stop Microsoft from trying to get them lol

And just to be clear my previous comment wasn't me complaining about the price, but rather expressing my concern about it not selling well

I don't have a ps5 yet, but this is one of the games I have my eye on and really looking forward to playing. I personally don't really want £70 to be the new standard for games, £60 for new AAA games might have been more acceptable, however people do seem to be complaining a bit too much lol. I also heard Jim ryan say in a recent interview that the prices will vary so hopefully they lower returnal to £50 like the new spiderman games was, otherwise I fear it won't spell too well initially. I do hope Sony buy housemarque actually, even if only to stop Microsoft from typing to acquire them lol

This is great news, Sony seems to be getting more pro consumer lately. I wonder how is works though, do Sony contact people offering a refund or just do it anyway? I mean some people may want to buy a game on sale to keep and not just with a active subscription. I'm always subscribed myself because I think it is good value and I like a lot of the games they give over the years.

This is interesting, how does that work, do Sony claim the money back from the developer after refunding the game? Cd project red have only themselves to blame for releasing it like that and for hiding what the game is like on the base consoles before releasing. Maybe Sony/ Microsoft should have better quality control with multiplatform games before allowing it to release if that's possible.

What if you buy a ps5 version of Cross gen games, will it still download the ps4 version too? Or is just if you buy the ps4 version and then upgrade 🤔

Cheers that's good to know, i will check richer sounds to see if they have any offers on too, they normally give 5 or 6 years guarantee. I have been considering a oled tv as my Samsung phone is oled and I love how vivid and colourful it looks. However I do feel concerned about screen burn and if the oled screens are bright enough during the day when there is lots of natural light coming through.

That's cool, thanks for the reply. My current tv is LG so I think I will stay with LG again or I might consider a Sony or Samsung but I haven't decided yet.

That's cool, my current set up is a 42 inch 1080p screen and I just use cable ties to keep the wires tidy. I'm not sure what tv to get yet when I upgrade to ps5, I was thinking about the LG nano led as it seems a upgrade from standard led screen i currently have. If i go much larger then I will probably need a bigger stand or wall mount, but I'm not keen on wall mounting idea. Would you have any advice what tv to get? I was thinking oled too but I heard they aren't great for screen burn or whatever its called.

I feel your pain mate 😄, but good to know I'm not the only one. I'm planning on getting a new tv for when I get a ps5 (although I didn't manage to pre order one yet) however I'm more concerned about how a new tv and ps5 will look and where the wires will go when setting everything up lol

Yeah Sony will probably want it to be a true next generation vr headset, a bit like with the dualsence controller is a next gen upgrade. Yeah a tidier wireless vr headset would interest me, as someone with ocd I know the current version would drive me a bit mad 😄

I don't have psvr and I haven't tried vr yet in general to be honest, I'm waiting to see what a potential wireless version with less clutter etc would be like on ps5 if they do make one that is. Perhaps this is just because the ps5 is next generation and more powerful, I mean why develop ps5 games that are limited to the ps4 vr technology. Maybe the ps4 vr games will run better by backwards compatible on ps5 anyway.

I think digital foundry did a video about the series x loading, but I haven't watched it yet. Yeah perhaps a external ssd will improve ps4 backwards compatible games. I just have a standard external hard drive, and I don't think i will bother upgrading to a external ssd, but if there is a certain ps4 game that I want to load faster then I will perhaps put it on the ps5 ssd if it is a lot faster loading.

Isn't this the ps5 edition of the game, so it is actually optimised for the ssd? I think some people might be mistaken thinking this is how fast it will load ps4 games. However hopefully ps4 games might load a bit faster like if installed on the ssd rather than external drive. I have a external 1TB drive for my ps4 pro, however that is just a standard hard drive so I don't think the ps4 games will load faster when connected to the ps5.

It seems lots of people moaning in the comments again 🙄, I used to enjoy reading comments on push square as was always less toxic than sites like n4g, but now it is just the same. To be honest I'm actually happy to see the ps5 next to people, and as for the video quality, it will probably be better quality if watching it on YouTube rather than through a website. It shouldn't be long now until we see the UI and see western hands on etc.

To be honest, the article doesn't actually say paid MT, but that you can earn currency by playing online, however It will be disappointing if it does have paid MT too. I don't think this game should be anymore than £50 or like others have said it would have been a good playstation plus game

I'm hoping Sony do a free upgrade for last of us 2 and ghost of tsushima. I can understand not doing a free upgrade for older games like spiderman etc, however seen as they are still new games that released this year, it would be a good will gesture to do a free upgrade even if they also sell a remaster for people that don't already own the games.

To be honest this game doesn't look that good anyway and was originally coming to ps4 and xbox one, so I don't think it matters too much. I was quite disappointed to hear about spider man and horizon being cross gen, although I'm sure I heard that development started on ps4 so probably wasn't ps5 exclusives to begin with. Hopefully God of war and gran turismo 7 will be proper exclusives, and if not then I think that will be a problem

To be honest i hope it doesn't work out for Sony and they stop releasing games on pc, even older games. Surely Sony can see how it has affected xbox sales, and its not like playstation exclusive games don't sell well as exclusives. Xbox doesn't have anything worth buying in my opinion so it makes sense to sell them on pc and throw them into a cheap service like game pass. Hopefully HZD sales on pc wasn't that great to discourage Sony with considering other games and to not waste playstation studios time on optimising for pc. Also xbox and pc fanboys are already annoying so Sony releasing games on pc would only make them more annoying lol

The playstation plus numbers are paid subscribers. Xbox live paid subscribers will be much lower than playstation plus. The number Microsoft share are people just connected to the service including free users and mobiles etc.

To be honest, not knowing the price yet doesn't really bother me too much. I'm more interested in seeing the UI and console breakdown and more games myself. But for those complaining about the price not been revealed yet, it is kind of Microsofts fault really. Microsoft doesn't seem that bothered about selling more consoles than Sony, so I'm more surprised that Microsoft hasn't revealed the price yet. Sony on the other hand are very stubborn and won't reveal the price until Microsoft does 🤔😂

How does it reduce the file size though? I stopped playing it online because of all the updates and install size

Thats cool if it is coming to ps4, I have been meaning to get this game on switch anyway so might still do that as it will motivate me to play on my switch lite, lol. Streets of rage 4 is another game I'm interested in for the switch too instead of ps4 version. I saw the digital foundry videos for both cuphead and Streets of rage 4 and they seem to look and run good on the switch.

Is it just me or does this look a different shape than the actual ps5 does?

Well that makes sense then if it was for ps4, as the box under the tv is the right shape for a ps4 or ps4 pro laid flat. If it was ps5 the box would have needed to be wider rather that deep like in this picture. The colour scheme is either a coincidence or maybe Sony already decided at the time on the ps5 colour, and would be able to just change the box for ps5 then.

Yeah that is what I was thinking too, the box doesn't seem wide enough to lay the ps5 flat. But the ps5 is probably not as big as it appears in the pictures.

Hopefully this will shut up the xbox fanboys with their fake outrage about ps5 only doing 30fps. I personally don't mind 30fps in certain games, but having the option is nice to see which i prefer.

I think there will be other colours eventually. However this picture is definitely fake, if you look closely at the controller it is still white at the back of the handles 😂
