Even though I was very disappointed with the showcase and was anxiously waiting for the big announcements that never happened lol. I will still try and watch them live when I can as I hate spoilers like a thumbnail on YouTube for example. I did however stop watching the xbox events years ago as they are even more boring and usually last longer too.

Actually come to think of it, the original Metal Gear solid 3 game was a ps2 exclusive too if I remember right. It was my favourite Metal Gear game, that I played anyway. I didn't like Metal Gear sold 2 and I never played 4 or 5 even though I have 5 through playstation plus I think

I always assumed that the rumoured exclusive ps5 Metal Gear game would be a remake of the original Metal Gear solid. I'm sure l read something about Blue point being involved and Mark Cerny too, that would make more sense I sopose with the original game once a playstation exclusive.

I do believe sony have paid quite a bit on some kind of exclusivity for GTA VI, maybe a couple of months console exclusive and or VR2 mode. I do remember first hearing things about it a few years ago it must be. It will be funny to see the reaction from the xbox crowd if it does happen. There should he no complaining after Microsofts recent publisher spending spree 🤔 😂

I don't like the idea of publishers getting bought like what Microsoft is trying to do with Activision. However if the rumours are true and sony is very interesting in reviving the IP then it might be a good idea for Sony to acquire Konami, just for the IP. We don't want uncle Phil opening up his check book, although hopefully Microsoft will have trouble buying any publishers now, especially the Japanese once.

To be honest I always thought they would do a pro premium version for ps5, but most people seem to think not. And next year makes sense if the rumoured slim model is releasing this year. It will probably be aiming at small premium marker with most sales been standard ps5. Also it won't be flooding the market with too many models because the rumoured slim model will apparently be the one model combining both physical and digital models, so the pro model will just be a option premium model with much higher price

I hope there is no chip shortage. I have some McCain oven chips in the freezer, but I think I prefer morris piper chunky chips actually 🤔 😂

Yeah maybe I shouldn't use forsaken as a example. I just wonder if i will see a big enough leap when I upgrade. But there should be more ps5 exclusive games releasing that show the potential now that the sales have increased.

That is good to hear, however I think I'm more concerned if the ps5 is powerfull enough to see through the generation without a pro model, games already seem to be getting low resolutions, I saw a article about forsaken having 720p or something like that. I'm still happy with my ps4 pro, but I'm waiting to see what the new redesign looks like first or to see if they do a ps5 pro. I got a LG C1 about a year ago, however it is 48 inch size so not too big for lower resolution if that is what ps5 starts to get. What I mean is lower resolution would look much worse if my tv was much bigger, but it depends how far away from the tv you sit too.

Thanks for the suggestions, yeah I will get around to playing the dlc for the first game, but i will probably save forbidden west for when I upgrade to ps5

So is this studio now a part of playstation as part of Guerrilla, or a independent support studio? Perhaps this is a good thing and will free up some of Guerrilla staff to make something else too other than horizon 🤔 I haven't played forbidden west yet but I did find the first game a little boring after a while. I think I have the dlc for the first game if I can be bothered to play it sometime lol

I think they actually have three games in development. The last of us factions that we know of and I think the next game will be a new IP that is probably further along than we think, and my belief is they will release the last of us part 3 to end the generation, like with the last two games in the series. Or maybe I just hope that is what they do 🤔 😂

Unfortunately I have already seen a few spoilers on stupid YouTube thumbnails even though i have been avoiding looking at anything to do with God of war. Even one of My subscribed channels that I usually trust has uploaded a boss fight with the description saying minor spoiler but it is the stupid thumbnails that spoil things the most. Actually since I had a YouTube account it is not as bad with the spoilers, I used to keep myself logged out of YouTube thinking it would prevent spoilers but it was actually worse and I had the last God of was and uncharted 4 spoiled with doing that 😠

I do actually think Sony will make a ps5 pro, but just not at the same time as a ps5 slim. When sony originally unveiled the ps5 and the digital version, I did wonder how would they introduce a mid gen slim and pro model because it would be a lot of difference versions with and without a disk drive lol. However with this rumour of a standalone model than can be used as both, then I would imagine a pro model could come after and at that point It would just be the two models. However it is late and I'm tired so probably not making much sense 😴 😂

Yeah that is the point I was trying to get across that people didn't buy the games but now complaining that the studio is no more lol. I never played many games from Japan studio myself to be honest, I was hoping they would remake ape escape as it was rumoured years ago if I remember right.

As much as it was disappointing that japan studio was closed, but the reality was that most of their games wasn't that successful, apart from the collaboration with games like bloodbourn and Damon souls etc. And it sounds like a lot of the staff will still be there but just as part of the Japanese division of xdev. There was probably too many chefs in the kitchen at the previous japan studio anyway 🤔

As for the prone thing, I sopose it makes sense really not to have it. Joel is the main character you control and he is quite old in the game, well much older than Ellie in past 2 anyway lol. For the few parts we play as Ellie she is still young so will have developed that skill as he got a bit older 🤔 😂

I'm looking forward to playing this game again on ps5 when I eventually get one lol. Sony been sending me invitations to buy one but I want to hold out a bit longer and get through some of my backlog. Also I don't like the look of the ps5 to be honest and as someone with OCD it is quite a big deal for me how things look, but I would get used to it eventually

That's cool, don't think I played Blood Dragon. However far cry 3 is one of my favourite games, I played it for ps3 and ps4, I'm sure the ps4 version was included with far cry 5 for free.

Yeah a different setting would be nice, although I couldn't bother to finish far cry primal to be honest. Far cry 5 has a few different dlc, one in Vietnam I think and a zombie one and something in space too

Nice offer, but don't think I will bother as don't want to rush it and I'm currently playing through far cry 4 on the ps4 anyway, I played it on ps3 but recently got the ps4 version on sale. Will probably get far cry 6 for the current generation when I upgrade at somepoint

Nice one, I remember having it for my amiga back in the day. Will add it to my ps4 and maybe my switch too if it is also available on there. I hardly use my switch lite, so this will be motivation to play it 😂

I think it will come sooner than people think to be honest. If there is a ps5 pro to go alongside a ps5 slim, the the ps5 pro would just become the more premium less available model, and ps5 slim would probably be easier to manufacture than the current model I imagine? Also I would imagine than the specs for any mid gen models would be decided years ahead and sony probably didn't expect the current chip problem 🤔

What I don't understand is why was there a loophole in the first place if sony dosent want people to use it 🤷‍♂️
Not that it matters to me as I wasn't considering upgrading until maybe when I have a ps5 and what games are available on it, but it is rubbish communication from Sony

That is true, I have watched some of his videos over the years. Although I haven't been interested in watching as much YouTube lately to be honest.

Well I think there is a lot of YouTube fanboy channels that could fit the description for both consoles lol. Yeah hopefully things improve soon, things like the pandemic and the ukraine war will probably have also had a impact.

Yeah I think i know who you mean, that Jeff grubb bloke or whatever his name is. However I do find it strange that Microsoft suddenly seem to be able to make more than Sony at the moment. Xbox can compete with playstation in USA and UK, but everywhere else Sony will sell a lot more if they can make enough. Perhaps the increase in xbox is with the series x model, seen as they apparently don't need to put them in the cloud server thing anymore, whatever it is called 🤷‍♂️

I have seen a few articles suggesting that Microsoft have paid more for chip priority or something like that. If that is true then I think it is maybe a bit of arrogance from Sony to not pay more to get the parts to make more themselves, perhaps they think that if and when the production improves then they will outsell the competition. To be honest I have started to loose interest in even trying to find a ps5 with Sony putting a big focus on cross gen and putting games on pc. I will wait it out to see what the availability is like and what the next wave of ps5 exclusives are. I might even getting a xbox instead this generation, I haven't had one since the 360 so might make a nice change 🤔 🎮

Thanks for the information, hopefully Sony will add the feature for ps5 them. Although I haven't bothered trying to get a ps5 yet though.

I recently got a 48 LG C1 which has VRR, but I currently only have a ps4 pro at the moment anyway. If when I get a ps5 (if they add the feature) then I will look forward to trying it. For those that do use VRR does it actually make much difference? I have never been that sensitive to framerates to be honest, unless the game is a stuttering mess like just cause 3 for example 😂

I'm happy to see the comments in this article are calm and sensible 😂 to be honest after looking at this list, I too feel better about it. Maybe I will be sad to loose crash and possibly the occasional cod game, but I hardly play them now anyway to be honest. Hopefully Sony will make a few good quality shooters themselves.

Yeah that is true, I do have a big backlog to keep me going. However if I do get it for the ps4 then I'm sure it is a free upgrade on ps5, they changed it back to free upgrade after the criticism they got from trying to charge for it. However I would prefer to wait to play it in it's best, the same with gran turismo 7 and the new God of war.

I'm shocked that there is no comments yet from people saying they will get it on pc 😂

This games does look amazing, not sure if I will get it on my ps4 pro or wait till I get a ps5🤔

To be honest I no longer feel excited about getting a ps5, partly because any upcoming games that I am interested in is also coming to ps4 like God of was and the horizon. But also since they started putting focus on pc. I haven't had a xbox since the 360 so I'm considering a series x for my next console. And then maybe get a ps5 In a few years when the big exclusives arrive.

Jim Ryan is obviously a good business person. But he is terrible at interviews and saying the wrong things lol

I was a little concerned at first with it being only 40 mins long. However it should be just trailers and gameplay, and any developer interviews etc will probably be in the after event.

I mean fewer games in general but AAA, I can't remember where but I heard him say that in a few interviews

I believe we will start to see more variety from Sony in the coming years. It was actually Shawn Layden that wanted Sony to make fewer but bigger games, lol

I never finished gtav on the ps3 and I didn't bother with the ps4 version. Maybe when I get a ps5 I will play the full game, if the price is good or if it comes to playstation plus 😂

Correction it isn't steel case but just a cardboard sleeve over a standard case, lol. I was mistaking it for days gone steel case that I have.

Nice, I bought the steel case game at launch for around £50, so will happily upgrade if when I get a ps5. Actually I do need to complete the game sometime soon as did stop playing mid game and never got around to going back to it, lol

Although I do agree that Sony seem to be a bit greedy at the moment. I can't help but notice push square is basically a xbox promoting channel now days 🤔😂

Will it actually be a exclusive ps5 game though 🤔😂 joking aside, this sounds interesting. I still haven't played concrete genie yet, but I have it on playstation plus. I don't think it is my kind of game, but I will give it a try.

I don't have a ps5 yet, but I'm looking forward to giving returnal a try and see how far I get on it, lol. I hope Sony will buy housemarque soon, if only to keep Microsoft and their grubby hands away.
