Re: Opinion: Does Starfield Suck? People Keep Telling Me to Skip Its PS5 Release

I put 70hours into it. So I’d say that’s a fair crack. And it’s a 7/10.

It has a few highs, but it has many lows too. It’s just ok overall. So many load screens, so many barren planets, so many repeated bases. The ridiculously stupid power temples. But there’s a few good missions in there.

Is it worth £50-60 (whatever release is)? No. Is it worth £30? Yes it is.

My biggest takeaway is since I completed it, I’ve never had the desire to go back and play a game, nor do I feel I’ve missed it. And that for me is slightly damning for a Bethesda game. Whereas I’ve played fallout/elder scrolls multiple times.

Re: PS5 Pricing Strategy Gives Flexibility for Deals if 'Things Surprisingly Get Better'

Yet months ago they had the RAM to last. But still a price rise. They were making money on each console sold, this late in the cycle they could have eaten the costs to keep the price down.

The lower price was working, sales were holding up pretty well, consistently outselling Series consoles and even Switch in some months. That won’t be happening anytime soon as sales will drop substantially.

@Globo they are the exact same practice. It’s just under different names. Sony could call them deals for you.

Both give deals to player A not to player B.

Doesn’t matter what they call them it’s wrong. And I’ll call both companies out on it. And when Nintendo do it, I’ll call the on it too.

Why should I get the game for less than you? Assuming all things equal between us?

Numbers are always fun.

But they never take into account people who have multiple consoles that aren’t going to buy across both platforms.

They also don’t take into account if it means (example) 2% of PC players buy a ps5/xbox to play the games that aren’t available and in the end spend more money than just one game.

The numbers also showed for SM2 (think it was anyway) that it sold 700k…. But had 500k pirated.
