And the fact that at most 20% of owners actually buy a game.

That 30milliom has quickly dropped to 4-5m. Not insignificant but far different numbers.

And Sony will probably only release 1 or 2 a year. They are NOT Microsoft. They don’t own an unlimited amount of studios.

Have the whole studio lost their jobs? Or joining other teams or anything?

No PC in that v Series X only (which makes up only half of the series console) and where most of those probably had GP.

It was always going to sell. Because that’s what yearly franchises do. And it actuall Seems like this years entry is worth playing over recent ones.

@HonestHick everyone knew CoD would sell. It does every year.

What hasn’t happened is those playing on steam moving to GPU. There was 0 mention in the lead up to release that console sales were increasing.

It will make MS lots of money, but you would imagine they wanted to get people into their ecosystem but it looks like people are just carrying on playing how they usually would.

@Major_Player it just doesn’t work because 90% of the games are 3rd party.

If MS did a first party GP tier specially for PlayStation that may work. ( and Sony could do the same)

But then at that point, they may as well just collab and design a console between them.

The argument for it needing to Be on GP makes absolutely zero sense. It’s a terrible argument and strange logic to jump to.

I think however it is too late for it to go to Xbox and make a big difference.

Really hate that websites keep giving scammers time of day.

There’s hundreds of games that get 0 attention.

Yet these get lots of articles.

Websites should be better. They should give 0 headline time or have the article covered in warnings that it’s a potential scam. And there is a history of scam.

Sony have already explained they want to take games beyond a machine to tv/movies. Oh and this game had a cancelled tv show!

Who would have thought that just like Tlou they would want new people who are brought into the world to play a best version.

If you have played it or don’t like it or don’t want to play it. Just you know ignore it? Like you do for a billion other games you don’t whine about.

Sony get nothing from you and those that want to upgrade and replay can enjoy it.

It looked good, I’ll be playing it on GPU so it’s no added financial cost.

I enjoy souls types but there’s too many that have jumped on the trend. There needs to be a healthy mix of Souls/GoW/DMC type games and we don’t seem to be getting that.

Companies are going to start seeing player fatigue on them soon and the ‘average’ releases are going to start being affected in sales. (A la Ubisoft as an example)

I know my battery life by pressing the ps button.

But I customised it to storage, battery life and new to plus. Keep it minimum as possible

It’s an AA game, AA game are often priced cheaper it isn’t a new thing.

But I always think companies should keep offering a choice of 30/60 (for those who are legit sensitive to it) rather than just their ‘artistic vision’ of 30

Because if it’s digital/physical that’s a huge number, but physical only probably much smaller % than I’d expect (due to sheer number of series S v X)

I enjoy my S and get my value from GPU, so I hope MS continue with consoles as I know for sure I won’t be streaming games until I have no choice!

@__jamiie there is a massive difference between developing a console that will sell probably 5-10million in its lifecycle, to a ps6 which Sony would be hoping does close to 100milluon.

Personally the stealth has put me off.

In general people are going to have to start looking at subscriptions.

Look how many say I’ll wait for it to hit plus/gp. Or I’m glad I waited for it to hit a sub as I wasn’t sure on it etc.

For me this is what is starting to cause issues. There’s so much choice on subscriptions they don’t need to pay £70 or whatever.

Starfield only had 13million Players, not even sales (this was on a graphic few months ago) and that’s for a tentpole AAA first party studio.

SE saying nothing is hitting targets, gamers are just spending less on new purchases.

And casuals are throwing it at micro transactions. - and then people wonder why Sony want a slice.
