Genuine question - forza4 got delisted 6-7years after release.

Fh5 is 4+ years old. Are PS gamers looking at potentially only having it listed for 2-3years? Or have licenses been extended?

Super happy that it is getting good scores and Friday can’t come soon enough now. ( if anything it’s slightly higher than I expected)

I’ve only skimmed the review as always I try not to read if I’m going in day 1.

As always it just shows that the vocal are the minority.

@IOI it’s not that they are being complacent imo.

They made a bet on live service games. Which failed. It’s going to take time to recover from that. It’s not like games are made in 12months - we are starting to see the upcoming projects.

It’s like saying if Sony decided to port all their old games to a competitor they would publish the most for that year.

Plenty of games shown. Some I’m interested in , some I’m not. Same as any show for any box.

The live service cancellation can’t be corrected over night.

We know the studios are working on games. They aren’t sitting there picking their noses. But what use is showing a game that’s releasing in 2-3yrs? - Microsoft did this and it didn’t work.

Look at Astro, announced only a couple of months prior. Yet team Asobi would have been working away a while. It built up hype

@themightyant the drop makes sense to a degree. (Not all of it of course!)

The year prior would include sm2, which outsold Astro not multiple times over, and iirc first party normally sells well physical?

@thefourfoldroot1 with something like monster hunter, people know how many hours they are getting from it. It’s not a 30hr and done. Otherwise you can end up ‘behind’ others in rank.

If it is a one play through and done, I agree better to wait until full game.

But I think they are waiting to see what the switch 2 releases at. Because I think the s2 is going to be relatively high compared to the first one.

World was amazing.

Bounced off it first time then second time it clicked and bam over 1000hrs.

Majority single playered it, the end game grind was good too.

I don’t think wilds will be as successful but that’s because the way we consume games has changed

Was a little annoying as I had time to play wilds beta, but I don’t mind missing it too much.

I just played some other games, not the end of the world.

I’m more annoyed about the 5 days, as I sub yearly around Black Friday, so I hope it hasn’t screwed me .

@Decoy_Snake some are already announced for ps so a ‘state of play’ would fit for them, release dates etc.

I can see MS announcing Halo collection at the state of play.

Infact there may well be a portion of it dedicated to MS - halo/forza etc etc

It’s the right decision.

But I still think originally they should have skipped fm25, to focus on fm26 with plenty of time.

They could have given fm24 a transfer update with fm25 teams.

But it can be single player, and there will be AI hunters you can use to help (or the s.o.s flares online )

@graymamba you know different reviewers see things differently. PX didn’t mention the camera as a negative, yet it’s been complained about lots.

@rjejr day 1 will take time as this strategy has only been recently formed. So to then port games for day 1 would cause delays.

Having played it on the S I didn’t like how it just threw cars at you quickly.

I may have been tempted had it been a ‘complete edition’ and not had to buy all dlc later

@Weebleman I’ve been saying this for ages. I think it’s what MS will want - let’s face it, they have a big enough catalogue/studios to make it possible.

I don’t think it’s needs 100m to be sustainable.

Bigger issue for GP/ps going forward, is more companies doing an EA/Ubi and having their own subscription because it will become harder to get 3rd party games.

@CallMeDuraSouka easiest way is to have a ps5 and a series S.

Utilise the S for first party games (they run well in general) and for any GP titles you want to play.

Use the ps5 for the ‘blockbuster’ titles that need the power rather than the S. and obviously Sony first party stuff. Win win!
