But considering MS need day 1 games for GP it’s mad that they are cancelling games

I said at release I was surprised it wasn’t day 1 (and concord etc) because live service needs all the players it can get usually. (Didn’t see hd2 doing so well)

I think it’s more a strategy change if single player games go over.

But Sony has to consider if next Xbox does have steam, they have access to Sony games anyway so maybe they have to react to that. But do I see much going this gen? Probably not.

But people will keep buying broken unfinished games. So the cycle will continue.

Didnt p3r metaphor SMT:V all launch relatively close together that are all similar, plus throw in LaD titles that released too and thats quite a number of JRPG titles that people would split across

People forget premium is what £20 a year more than extra? It’s barely anything and offers the classics and cloud (which is becoming more popular)

And we keep getting told the portal sells well so naturally you would see those users having to upgrade too.

Well considering MS own them I’d have been more shocked if they said it was Nintendo’s fault.

Honestly it was poor.

I understand it has to cater to a large audience. Hence the dragging it out.

But the pacing was slow, the trailers were kind of all over the place. Very little actual ‘big’ reveals.

I think Xbox will have the best showcase of the 3.

Show was good, solid 8/10.

Lots of interesting games. A few not so.

People seem to be mistaking what was good about it for Sony. It was the fact that they actually got a state of play right - the tempo was good, most seemed to be releasing within 12months.

Could they have shown more first party stuff? Sure, but that’s not how Sony operate anymore, we didn’t even see Astro bot till what 3-4months before release?

This game makes sense as to why Sony have the fighting stick ( forget what it was called )in the pipeline

EA don’t need to per se.

They make the (big) money from micro transactions. So they can keep the games at 70 to ‘look good’.

Plus most people on release buy the deluxe editions that come with points/packs anyway.

@Marquez yes fully. But with this being turn based it’s just easier to see the move coming. You only have to worry about the block/parry button nothing else.

@themightyant oh yeah I fully agree it’s more a personal preference. That’s why I think an option of it.

I just don’t enjoy running round and round on games if you get a little lost.

Personally I’d prefer a mini map. (Could even be an option to turn it on off for everyone)

And after fighting the same enemy after a while the animations get a little repetitive so dodging gets a little easier

Won’t just be consoles. I think Ghost of Yotei will be the last game at £70 (lucky they announced it early!) with future ones being priced same as Xbox.
