But sometimes there’s more to it when reading click bait headlines, tones through the articles.

Microsoft’s whole strategy has changed since the deal was struck. There’s even less than 0 chance they have of winning.

EA don’t need to per se.

They make the (big) money from micro transactions. So they can keep the games at 70 to ‘look good’.

Plus most people on release buy the deluxe editions that come with points/packs anyway.

@Marquez yes fully. But with this being turn based it’s just easier to see the move coming. You only have to worry about the block/parry button nothing else.

@themightyant oh yeah I fully agree it’s more a personal preference. That’s why I think an option of it.

I just don’t enjoy running round and round on games if you get a little lost.

Personally I’d prefer a mini map. (Could even be an option to turn it on off for everyone)

And after fighting the same enemy after a while the animations get a little repetitive so dodging gets a little easier

Won’t just be consoles. I think Ghost of Yotei will be the last game at £70 (lucky they announced it early!) with future ones being priced same as Xbox.

But I agree it will rise over the summer. And articles like this don’t really help console wars.

Sony will follow with game prices, GoY will be the last one at £70.

Expect GP to rise by £2-3 in June/July. And although plus has risen in some countries I expect it to follow elsewhere.

I enjoyed it when I played it. I may be tempted again soon.

My only gripe was that it was a few hours too long, another mission just seemed to need doing.

No one is buying Xbox - so subs aren’t increasing there.

They are pushing PC - but most PC gamers stick to steam where it’s often cheaper.

The biggest future growth - will be the play anywhere/GP on just tv etc … but the infrastructure isn’t there yet.

By the time everything is in place, what will the cost be?

I’ll be staying subscribed to GP, but as I’ve had it for years now and played stuff in the back catalogue, there will be months I unsubscribe now, wait till there’s a few games on it I want.

Certainly the lowest scoring review I’ve read of it.

Elsewhere seems to universally praise it much more. So I’d recommend reading several reviews.

Edit - in no way am I saying this review is wrong, just I’d recommend reading more than just this one.

But console wars are (sadly) the only thing that drives traffic on PX. - and here we all are driving it on here too!

Anyone who voted they are ok with it, or would pay for certain games etc really need their head checking.

Polls like these are picked up by the companies. You may as well just email Sony and let them know you are willing to be fleeced.

Said elsewhere, the console is priced attractively for the upgrade.

The game prices? Not so, families are already struggling let alone without a large increase. I think this will hurt Nintendo.

Cons - no oled, game prices, a lot of older games announced, upgrade costs.

As I said on PX, I’m happy that so many people have tried this game, great for the devs.

I just hope that the many who played and stopped within first 30minutes, give it a real chance once the bugs and issues are patched.

@Llamageddon oh I’m not giving it grief at all. Honestly I’m glad Ubisoft got the win here. I’ll certainly be buying it in the future. (I always wait for ubi to drop price, yep I’m part of their problem!)

Ubisoft announced that AC shadows had 3million players (recently) total, that is across all consoles/PC and includes their subscription service.. meaning you can play it for £15.

Capcom announced that wilds (admittedly released couple of weeks earlier) has passed 10m in sales.

So that’s 3x more. And that’s not hating on shadows at all. That’s just the numbers.

They will just be holding off and releasing a ‘master edition’ type thing.

Makes sense for MS to spread their ‘bigger’ games across the year, or their is potential for fatigue.

Some hit and miss which is normal, as a good % will have played on Xbox/PC while many others will wait for a sale as the games are ‘old’ (even if new to ps).

But there is potential there for MS.

It’s a £50 AA game, it’s going to be janky and a mess on release.

That’s my guess anyway.

I understand the devs don’t get the money from second hand sales.

But it contributes to the economy, creates jobs, lets people play things they may never have afforded before.
