Re: PS Plus, Xbox Game Pass Are Not the Future of Gaming, Says US Analyst

@somnambulance problem right now is -

No one is buying Xbox - so subs aren’t increasing there.

They are pushing PC - but most PC gamers stick to steam where it’s often cheaper.

The biggest future growth - will be the play anywhere/GP on just tv etc … but the infrastructure isn’t there yet.

By the time everything is in place, what will the cost be?

I’ll be staying subscribed to GP, but as I’ve had it for years now and played stuff in the back catalogue, there will be months I unsubscribe now, wait till there’s a few games on it I want.

Anyone who voted they are ok with it, or would pay for certain games etc really need their head checking.

Polls like these are picked up by the companies. You may as well just email Sony and let them know you are willing to be fleeced.

And then people wonder why some people end up getting scammed etc.

@Paramahansa are you totally missing something?

Ubisoft announced that AC shadows had 3million players (recently) total, that is across all consoles/PC and includes their subscription service.. meaning you can play it for £15.

Capcom announced that wilds (admittedly released couple of weeks earlier) has passed 10m in sales.

So that’s 3x more. And that’s not hating on shadows at all. That’s just the numbers.

Re: Mailbox: Sony's Live Service Stupidity, Ghost of Yotei's Appeal, and the Magic of Open World RPGs

It’s amazing that people still don’t understand that outside of the few people that post here, they don’t play the games we do.

They play live service. Look at the most played games on any platform.

The live service numbers dwarf anything a great single player game can bring.

Sony want some of that live service money to fund the ever growing expensive single player games.

It’s the reason why MS spent so much money on some of the biggest live service games out there. And it’s the reason why Sony will keep on trying to find the games that do this.
