Dark Auction now has a playable demo on PS5, if you're interested.
The adventure title's been in our periphery for a while, having originally been targeting a 2025 release date. It was, of course, pushed back, but we're now just days away from its launch on the 29th January.
Based on everything we've seen of it, Dark Auction has loads of potential — it's an investigative experience with some serious talent behind it, including celebrated game writer Rika Suzuki, manga magician Kohske, and veteran composer Yuko Komiyama.

It's worth mentioning, though, that Dark Auction was caught up in some controversy in the summer of last year.
Set in Germany in 1981, the title's premise involves an auction — who would have guessed? — that's selling off items that once belonged to Adolf Hitler. The protagonist's father goes missing while attending said auction, and so the adventure begins.
However, mention of Hitler was seemingly scrubbed from the game and all of its marketing materials; the historical figure is now simply referred to as 'Dictator X'.
At this point, we should note that the game itself was originally titled Dark Auction: Hitler's Estate. Clearly, developer IzanagiGames ran into some sort of issue.
Anyway, the demo's right there on the PS Store if you fancy it — it weighs in at just under 4.6GB.
