If the absence of Ren & Stimpy from the recently dated Nickelodeon Splat Pack hit you hard like a slap to the face, then you’ll be excited to learn that Limited Run Games is bringing a bunch more 16-bit classics to the PS5 in the future.
While there’s no release date for the newly announced Ren & Stimpy Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy Collection just yet, pre-orders for physical copies will go live from 30th January through 1st March.
As is often the case with Limited Run Games, there’ll be a few permutations available, as follows:
Standard Edition ($39.99)
- The game on Blu-ray

Collector's Edition ($109.99)
- The game on Blu-ray

- 12″ x 16″ double-sided poster
- Mini cartridge replica collection
- Acrylic standee diorama
- Crazy caps (x6)
- Trading cards (x5)
The collection itself will feature five games, many in their NES, SNES, and even Game Boy permutations.
The lineup is as follows:
- The Ren & Stimpy Show: Space Cadet Adventures (Game Boy)
- The Ren & Stimpy Show: Veediots! (SNES, Game Boy)
- The Ren & Stimpy Show: Buckeroo$! (NES, SNES)
- The Ren & Stimpy Show: Time Warp (SNES)
- The Ren & Stimpy Show: Fire Dogs (SNES)
As you’d expect from a modern retro game compilation, each title will feature modern quality-of-life improvements, like rewind and quick save. There’ll also be a music player so you can enjoy each outing’s soundtrack, as well as an art gallery.
It’s a shame Genesis game Stimpy’s Invention is not included here, as that’s personally our favourite entry in the series, but licensing issues may be getting in the way as it was originally published by SEGA.
