Re: Metal Gear Solid 3's Iconic James Bond Intro Gets a Glow-Up for PS5 Remake

@Oram77 If the continuous retcons of MGS4 and 5 have taught me anything, it is that this series is best left without Kojima in it as his ideas were starting to get nonsensical. The whole cast of MGS3 is now evil and there is a guy just off camera in every scene cleaning up after Snake. What next?

I would rather a reboot with fresh blood tbh.

Re: Rockstar Silences the Sceptics, Confirms GTA 6 Trailer Was a Mix of Gameplay and Cutscenes on Base PS5

LifeGirl

@RawnDawn I was skeptical for the simple reason that no one else has done this with the PS5.

It kind of pisses me off actually as it just confirms what I've been saying about how lackluster the PS5 has been up until this point. Why I have I spent years playing what are at best PlayStation 4.5 games when the base system was always capable of producing something that looks like this?

Re: TV Show Review: The Last of Us (HBO) Season 2 Episode 4 - The First Time the Show Surpasses the Game

Season 2 has tanked in viewership since Joel got a Hole in One by 31%.

My personal opinion is that all of those non-gamers who had absolutely no idea of the twist were confronted by the exact same question that we've been asking for the better part of a decade now: ''Was it worth it?'' and many have replied with a firm fat ''no'' and turned off.

Your continued enjoyment is probably also dependent on your opinion as to whether Pascal was carrying Ramsay or not.

Art style is a real make or break for me and I do not like this. Too much white, too much lime green.
Plus, knowing the publisher, it'll become microtransaction hell pretty quickly which dampens any enthusiasm that I may have had going in.

Re: RPGs Reportedly on the Rise as the Live Service, Battle Royale Trend Falters

LifeGirl

My issue with this stat is that the word ''RPG'' has become incredibly diluted to the point that it now covers a wide variety of games that have very little in common. Meanwhile something that calls itself a Battle Royale is actually very easy to pin down as being a Battle Royale.

I wonder how many of these games actually fit our personal definitions of what an RPG is. Or even the official one if such a thing exists.

Re: Almost All PS5 Fans Are Against $80 Games

Jim Sterling always used to point out that the problem with this concept is that frequently you are only paying for half a game. The final product is chopped up and sold back to you as microtransactions, DLC, season passes etc.

£80 for a game might be excusable if you actually got £80 worth of game. The actual price for the whole package is often in the region of £150.
