Once again let me announce my dismay at the fact that people today apparantly cannot play a game without their little drug hit in the corner of the screen.
@MichaelNau This comment section seems to think that she is hated. But outside of a few chumps on YouTube most people seem to be rather mild towards her the best i can tell.
@awp69 As someone who has owned consoles from every major brand at some point, I can tell you straight and without bias that the XBOX deserves everything thrown at it.
The 360 was an amazing console with amazing games - but in retrospect it was Microsoft's MegaDrive. Because as with Sega, everything has been progressively downhill since almost entirely due to terrible corporate decisions.
@Futureshark They never said that you could not enjoy boobs. They said that her design is generic. Which it is. You could put this character in the line-up of basically any Japanese fighting game and she would blend right in.
@darkswabber Yep. Fortnite might not be the the all-conquering colossus that it once was, but it is still pulling live service numbers that Herman Hulst would kill for.
Does review bombing exist? Of course it does. But I also think that is a very convenient excuse to dismiss other people's opinions. Sometimes, a lot of people are calling your game crap because a lot of people legitimately think that your game is crap.
It'll be interesting to see if the Switch 2 has legs over the long term. Nintendo's anti-consumer practices recently have caused even the faithful to grumble.
But some companies legitimately do seem to be immune from the consequences of criticism. They aren't doing much that Microsoft isn't with the Xbox and yet only one is being dragged over the coals for it.
@Lowdefal Aye. Music copyright is a minefield. I remember when people were complaining when GTA DE took a few tracks out. Its like, dude, do you have any idea how expensive 100 odd songs is? Be happy you've still got 98% of them.
@Ultrasmiles Supposedly GTA is one of Scotland's most profitable products. Not Scotch Whisky big or anything like that, but its still pretty bloody big.
Let's say it how it is: They've had a lot of poorly received games in the past decade. Not all of them were obviously, but a lot of them such as Anthem have been mega failures. It would be a very different story if they had something amazing under their belt that they could point to. No company coming in to balance the books is going to be chuckling at the state of this output.
I disliked them before and I still do now.
I sincerely doubt that I will notice the difference. And as for the ethical implications, they join pretty much every other corporation in the world in chasing unethical money. You'll have to boycott a lot more than EA if you wish to not be called a hypocrite.
Lol. Try that day and age. I do not know how many UK readers of the site have forgotten that the game was not called ''Bully'' and never was. It was called ''Canis Canem Edit'' because a game about bullying was already pushing the knuckle of British censorship.
@AgentMantis EVERY company is exactly the type of company to take Saudi blood money. No corporation is your ally, your friend, your pal, or a force for good. They exist for money and more money.
@judgmentarrows Only fools pre-order games nowadays. Give it a few weeks, wait for the inevitable bugs to be fixed, then buy it and have a better experience.
Anyway, this is the digital era. It's not as if there is first come first served stock to consider. There are infinite copies of this game available.
@Enuo Yep. It is the exact same ploy they pulled with micro transactions. You leave it a month, build up the good reviews, and then put in whatever they want.
@ilyn I mean gamers as in total people playing games. A LOT of social stigma still existed back then, particularly for female gamers. This was also very much the Jack Thompson era where parents were being scared into believing that their kids will go out and kill someone because of GTA.
@KundaliniRising333 If you think this is bad, wait until you find yourself debating some Switch 2 fans. Nintendo is going out of their way to rip people off but they get away with it because they're Nintendo.
@Max_the_German The PS2 managed those sales back when the total amount of gamers was at an absolute fraction of what they are today. I find the comparison apples and oranges tbh.
An anniversary edition without Silent Assassin or Contracts is kind of insulting actually.
I bet I know why too. It's because they are too difficult for the modern general audience. Disguises that barely work, a time limit on the anesthetic, fewer "secret" ways in that might as well have big glowing signs over them saying "way in". These were hardcore games.
I find it very hard to believe that if you've nearly made it into 2026 without buying a PS5 then this sugar overdose of a trailer is going to convince you. There is only one thing left that'll convince anyone to take the plunge and that is GTA6.
Metal Gear 1 and 2. As in, the 1980s originals. Think about it: the fistfight with Grey Fox in a minefield, the showdown with Big Boss where he reveals your parentage, Solid Snake's breakdown from a naive scrub to PTSD. They have kept us waiting too long for these remasters.
Yeah. I think Tencent has a point. ''Clones'' are a time honoured tradition in gaming. Doom clones, COD clones, Battlefield clones, GTA clones, PUBG clones. I see no problem with an Horizon clone and I think that there is protectionism on Sony's part here.
Eh... i mean this politely... Teal'c could have played Kratos. Sadly Judge has gone to seed since then. Love the man btw, but time comes for us all. As for Momoa and Batista, I am not convinced that they have the acting talent. They are fine if you just want a big man role. But Kratos is popular precisely because he is far more than just a big man.
@SeaDaVie Just a reminder to you that: A) Endgame was six years ago, before a pandemic, before several huge loss making films. B) Deadpool and Wolverine was one film. It was one film. One film does not invalidate a general trend.
$200 million on a $15 million budget with (as far as I can tell) relatively little marketing.
If i was a grossly overpaid Hollywood actor or director I would be crapping myself right about now. With precious few examples the era of the big budget movie is crashing down. Avengers Doomsday for example will never make the billion dollars required to make its money back. Not a chance.
He stepped back from season 3 of TLOU because he does not want his name attached to something that is coming off a 55% drop in ratings. I would have more respect for him if he admitted it but I suspect that his peers wouldn't.
What I want to know is, was it his decision to reduce the impact of Ellie's roaring rampage of revenge with all of that wisecracking jokey cringe? Because honestly we should all be worried about his next project if he thought that was a good idea.
@ItsAlwaysSunnyyy Part of the reason why the world is in such a state is because of the continuous and wilful denial of facts. Yes, fine, what an anime is or is not does not matter in the grand scheme of things. But it is just one more example of people just picking and choosing what they want to believe.
This is not an anime any more than Dragonball Z is a cartoon.
This is a cartoon. Or at best, an "animated feature".
An "anime" has a very specific definition which a highly American website such as Netflix does not meet.

Re: PS Plus Extra, Premium Games for October 2025 on PS5, PS4 Leaked
Tekken 3 is the best Tekken imo. I wonder how they got around the licensing issue with Gon? I suspect that they will have deleted him.
Re: Assassin's Creed Boss Leaves Ubisoft Just Weeks After Tencent's Development Reshuffle
This is a good thing imo. AC has been feeling stale for a while. New blood, hopefully new ideas.

Good for them.

Sounds to me like Sony have perfected grifting rather than this being a result of anything natural.
Sad times. Sad, sad times.
Re: Is This the First Tease of Next-Gen PS6 Graphics?
@Oram77 Completely agree with you. I want the ability the enter every building in GTA5 and open every drawer Shenmue style.
