The PS5 has just gotten going. Only recently has it been churning out games that the PS4 Pro would not have been able to handle.
We do not need a PS6 any time soon.

The only reason Microsoft wants you to believe otherwise is because they spent billions on an acquisition that has not made its money back. They may have limitless pockets but even they noticed that amount of money leaving the account.

This is one of those lines that sounds poignant but ultimately means nothing. What is ''soul''? What is ''meaning''? Survey a hundred people and you'll get a hundred answers.

The old model was to sell hardware at a loss to make it back through software. And I simply do not believe that this model cannot work in 2025. Its greed. Simple as that.

This does not mean that Sony won, it means that Tencent folded. Very different things. As Boxmonkey says, expect to see this game again in the near future in a legally obligated "25% different" state.

I smell a shift back to the 90s when in comes to female character design since the success of Stellar Blade.

My two cents for what its worth is that your average mainstream gamer even if they are interested in the concept would be turned off by the graphics.

And it does matter I'm afraid because a game like this depends on you connecting with the character.

@zebric21 Agree 100%. It's also a bit hard to play an "America saves the world" game right now as a European.

The last time a famous co-creator gave me a game "unlike any I've ever played before" I got Mind's Eye.

As a fan of the original I'm glad that it was cancelled tbh. From what I saw it was a generic game starring a woman with red hair.
I would rather my childhood games remain dormant forever than to have some in name only sequel share their name.

The show started OK. But as it went on (and especially its spin off) it just became gross for the sake of gross imo.

You cannot judge an old game using modern eyes.

And as for Tekken 4 being a bad game that is internet revisionism. It ALSO scored 8's and 9's across the board upon release and won E3's best fighting game of the year award.

The last PS2 game came out in 2013 but you wouldn't call it of the same generation as the PS3.

There absolutely will be a handheld. This is not even a debate at this point.

@SuperYlvis Buying an Xbox right now is like buying a Dreamcast during the PS2 era. Will you have fun? Yeah, perhaps. But it is very obvious the direction the wind is blowing.

The digital only console discount was huge - it was something in the region of £290. That is insane value.

It also shows just how many people would be willing to buy a PS5 if Sony dropped their ridiculously inflated prices a bit more often.

@Lorfarius A million dollars sounds very impressive. But the details behind those numbers are less so. According to Google that figure was reached by 5,587 backers.

Do I need to emphasise just how few people that is? There are football stadiums where you could not fill even half of a single stand with an amount that small.
