Re: Sony's PSN Rebrand Is Well Underway, and the Clues Have Been There All Along

"We can’t help but wonder how long this terminology will stick around, even if Sony chooses not to use it."

I still call X "Twitter". I still "Tweet".
Although in fairness "X" is the worst rebrand since Royal Mail decided to call itself Consignia. Although also in fairness RM decided to change back in about a month. Musk has run with it.

Re: Congratulations to Resident Evil, 30 Years Old Today and Better Than Ever

The original RE3 was incredible back in the day. I know that it seems quaint today but going from a game where the door loading screen was this impassable force field to having a guy that could chase you room to room gave me a heart attack the first time that it happened lol. And when you are playing this blind you really do have no idea where and when he'll turn up.

I liked the main villain Nicholai a lot too. No world domination plot, crossdressing as his sister or magical viruses for him; he just wanted to escape the city and get a big fat bag with a dollar sign on it for his troubles.

Re: Base PS5 Owners Should Download New Firmware Update Too for This Extra Feature

LifeGirl

@Balaam_ I'm not a trophy hunter but I do agree with you. If you are going to have this feature, if you are going to include it for every game, then it needs to be executed properly.

Why can't you delete old trophies? It makes no sense to me. Especially as a lot of old games thanks to the trend of attaching them to multiplayer are now completely impossible.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Finally Gets a PS5 Pro Patch Very Soon

LifeGirl

All i want from a Cyberpunk 2077 patch is the ability to play in third person.
I have never understood the point of games that have incredibly detailed character creators and hundreds of clothes to find and yet have it so you cannot look at your character in-game.
And no, i do not count the inventory screen as "in-game".

Re: 'Imagine Being Such a Loser': We've Hit Rock Bottom with Website Dedicated to 'Failing' Games

@somnambulance ''Anyone remember when people actually liked video games?''
Games used to be of a higher quality than they are today. And people can ''OK granddad'' me as much as they like. Almost all of the legendary franchises got their start twenty plus years ago. How many franchise success stories can you actually name from recent times apart from Fortnite and Minecraft?

Re: Hands On: Marathon Is Dense, Demanding, and Drop Dead Gorgeous

LifeGirl

@J2theEzzo Yep. I HOPE that PushSquare has no control over these Marathon ads because no joke I currently have half of my phone screen covered in one as I write this. As you say, a bit hard to trust all of this neverending praise for a game that they are technically speaking making money out of.

Re: Things Sure Aren't Sounding Good for French Publisher Nacon

LifeGirl

Half of all video game companies laid off staff in 2025, and of those, half again have not found employment afterwards.

Once you get past the big names, this industry is in serious trouble. The jobs are going and are not being replaced. High profile failures are everywhere. New ip is deemed too risky.

Dark days. I feel sorry for anyone who wasn't around for the bright days. They were fun.

Re: Opinion: Sony's Disgraceful Bluepoint Closure Should Concern Every PS Studios Fan

LifeGirl

'I believe it reflects the erosion of once-great PlayStation management that I think we’ve all been feeling for quite some time.''

So... when was this ''once great PlayStation management'' out of interest? What time period do we need to go back to to ''Make Sony Great Again?''
Was it the one that skimped on its internet security which led to PSN going down for a month? How about the one that botched the PS3 launch?
