@RawnDawn I was skeptical for the simple reason that no one else has done this with the PS5.
It kind of pisses me off actually as it just confirms what I've been saying about how lackluster the PS5 has been up until this point. Why I have I spent years playing what are at best PlayStation 4.5 games when the base system was always capable of producing something that looks like this?
The era of exclusivity is dead for everyone except Nintendo. PlayStation on PC, Xbox on PlayStation. The console wars simply are not profitable any more.
What worries me looking at these screenshots is that a lot of its satire is going to be outdated by the time of its release thanks to the constant delays.
Season 2 has tanked in viewership since Joel got a Hole in One by 31%.
My personal opinion is that all of those non-gamers who had absolutely no idea of the twist were confronted by the exact same question that we've been asking for the better part of a decade now: ''Was it worth it?'' and many have replied with a firm fat ''no'' and turned off.
Your continued enjoyment is probably also dependent on your opinion as to whether Pascal was carrying Ramsay or not.
That's what FF has always been. All of those menus, status effects, magic spells, skills, items, skill trees... 9 times out of 10 they are all completely irrelevant. The only thing that has changed today is that FF has dropped the pretense of choice.
In my personal opinion Pascal has been carrying Ramsay throughout most of this show so far. She has a lot to prove on her own and from what I've seen I am not convinced that she can pull it off.
@PaperAlien There is more chance of pigs discovering how to manifest the avian powers of Red Bull than human beings suddenly treating each other with respect on the internet.
I don't think "the scene" will happen until the last episode if it happens at all. We'll see. TV shows rarely survive for long after it loses its biggest star and they'll know that if they are worth their salt. And yes, like it or not, Pascal is the name draw of this show.
Art style is a real make or break for me and I do not like this. Too much white, too much lime green. Plus, knowing the publisher, it'll become microtransaction hell pretty quickly which dampens any enthusiasm that I may have had going in.
A relic of an era whereby Phoebe Waller Bridge was getting hired for projects far out of her comfort zone.
You find that with Hollywood for some odd reason. Someone becomes cock of the walk due an unrelated project and suddenly they seem to be involved with everything.
My issue with this stat is that the word ''RPG'' has become incredibly diluted to the point that it now covers a wide variety of games that have very little in common. Meanwhile something that calls itself a Battle Royale is actually very easy to pin down as being a Battle Royale.
I wonder how many of these games actually fit our personal definitions of what an RPG is. Or even the official one if such a thing exists.
This'll be the ultimate test of whether this franchise is as popular as Sony thinks it is/wants it to be. Will it prove the massive investment true or will it become yet another Horizon spin-off flop?
Jim Sterling always used to point out that the problem with this concept is that frequently you are only paying for half a game. The final product is chopped up and sold back to you as microtransactions, DLC, season passes etc.
£80 for a game might be excusable if you actually got £80 worth of game. The actual price for the whole package is often in the region of £150.
I'm glad people enjoy KH but never could get into it myself. This goes beyond your typical convoluted JRPG storyline into "i just didn't get it". Good work if you got something out of it though.
@Oz_Who_Dat_Dare Regarding Abby's new threat level as a more slightly built woman, as I said on yesterday's article, the strong masculine is determined by muscles, not the strong feminine.
Look for example at Lena Headey's character in "Dredd" who is absolutely believable as a drug dealing, genital-chomping psycho. Or to stick with Headey, Circe, who again is absolutely believable as a black widow sociopathic blueblood.
There may be a golf club involved in the final product, but we can do SO MUCH MORE with the character than the rather one-note version that we got in the games.
Fans were outraged by Joel's death because they loved Joel. They had built a connection up with him - and no amount of "he's just a fictional character!" from those who dismiss such feelings will change that any more than me saying "it's just a couple of guys kicking a ball about!" will stop a football riot.
@themightyant I agree with you... but i also think that your description of GoT describes TLOU2 just as well. I don't buy that Ellie would just give up right at the last moment - the whole game was leading towards one of them dying and it feels like a massive cop out that it did not happen.
@Balie3000 The difference between 2077 and No Man's Sky as opposed to most of the other dreck that releases broken is that these games had genuine hype and excitement behind them and thus people were willing to give them another chance.
Most crap games do not get a second chance no matter how much time and effort you pump into them.
@EfYI How are we defining "changing Abby into a fragile woman?"
You do not have to have He-Man muscles to be strong. Big muscles are how we express the strong masculine, not the strong feminine.
For example, I would argue that an example of the strong feminine is Tess from TLOU1. She was only slightly built and yet that did not stop her from being any less heroic or badass with it.
@ChrisDeku Or it could be because - follow along with me here - there are noticeably more articles about this game's sales figures than any other game released in the past month?
No one asks to have the sort of problems Bam has. What a terrible precedent it would be if we censored soneone just because their life has gone off the rails.
And side note, how dare they assume to remove anything from the original release of the game.
I always thought that was the case tbh. The game sold 3 million in its first week - meaning that it only sold an extra 500,000 in the two years since despite also getting a PC port in the meantime?

Re: Random: GTA 6's Jason and Lucia Have a Fake PS5 in Their Apartment
@UltimateOtaku91 Yep. Rockstar has gotten just a little too much out of the PS5 here for my liking.
Re: Unsurprisingly, Final Fantasy 7 Remake's Future May Not Be PS5 Exclusive
The era of exclusivity is dead for everyone except Nintendo. PlayStation on PC, Xbox on PlayStation.
The console wars simply are not profitable any more.
Re: Random: GTA 6's Jason and Lucia Have a Fake PS5 in Their Apartment
It looks too good to be true tbh.
Re: GTA 6 Trailer 2 Attracts Over 45 Million Views in 12 Hours
@Northern_munkey That's the reason for the delays imo.
Release a nerfed version, wait for the PS6, make another 100 dollars.
Re: Meet the Cast of GTA 6, PS5's Craziest Group of Criminal Misfits Yet
With the exception of the graphics this currently looks exactly like GTA5.
It's a winning formula I get that, but it's still a little disappointing.
Re: Gallery: New GTA 6 Screenshots Look Utterly Outstanding
@RagnarLothbrok Have you actually ever read Kotaku? They are not a site that cares about that sort of thing.

Your typical looks over talent actress. Unfortunately that means that it'll probably make bank.
Re: PS3's Resistance Games Not Playable on PS5, PS4 at All After Just 6 Months
I'm sick of people continuously saying that PS Premium is expensive. It is the same price as three brand new games.
That's it. Three games. For the value of nearly five hundred.
I could only have dreamed of a service like this back in the 90s.
Re: Massive PS Plus Clearout Announced for May, 22 Games Leaving
Don't worry, GTA5 will be back in a month or two lol.

Re: Team Up with Hondo in Star Wars Outlaws: A Pirate's Fortune DLC, Arriving Next Month

Well yeah... of course the premiere of season 2 has more viewers than season 1. It would be more surprising if it did not.

@ChrisDeku Can you give me some examples of the "toxic nonsense" and the "rage" that you speak of? Because I'm not seeing it tbh.

What a tiresome off-topic thread this is morphing into. We are here to talk about a game, not politics.

Re: The Outer Worlds 2 PS5 Gets a Huge Gameplay Debut Ahead of Summer Unveiling
I cannot describe the first game as being anything else other than incredibly average.
It did nothing that stood out and yet did nothing all that wrong either. I played it once and then forgot about it immediately.
There is potential here but they need to do a lot better than "Fallout but now it's in space!!"

BTW, isn't "meh, I'll just wait for discounts" and there's no way I'll ever pay rather much" basically the same question?

My ability to resist FOMO is legendary. I'll play your game eventually, but it won't be for £80 I can promise you that.
Re: The Last of Us Showrunner Isn't Concerned About Bella Ramsey's Ellie Looking Too Young in Season 2
@Mattock1987 I disagree that she is a good actress who nailed the role.
