I was annoyed when they were asked about people waiting for the next gen patch and they wanted to remind us that we can buy the game now to play on next gen.
So you're telling us to preorder without seeing the content, as if only a few days ago that's not what caused the PS4 outrage.
No thanks I'm waiting for full reviews of the PS5 patch before I buy it, I will not be buying a broken game now and at its most expensive price. Release will be lucky to be late next year.
@WallyWest @oldschool1987
The problem is that that statement makes no sense as is there is no next gen version and won't be until some time later next year; they said as much in the conference call. They haven't just made a next gen version and put it on the shelf, there is no next gen version yet.
They obviously haven't paid any attention to any console version at all and only focused on PCs, tried to port it to old gen and realised they fked up.
Bit concerned about the level scaling, would prefer fodder to remain fodder tbh. Don't mind the level scaling on bosses however as once you get to around power level 200 I was able to kill lvl 400s, so it'll just force it to take a bit longer. I'm playing on hard difficulty too so the challenge is gone now.
Currently hit around power level 340 at 104 hours and still have 7 regions to clear in England plus another in Norway. That includes the story arcs as I clear each region with the arc.
I'm happy to wait for the next gen version. I hadn't even heard of this game until this year so I don't have the craving to play like alot in this comment section.
80 hours in and power level 280 but still only about half way through England. Im 100% each region as I go along.
I thought England and Norway were the only regions but as you go through the quests it throws even more areas at you !
Spoiler below* Vinland making you start fresh was a good idea and that legendary animal! Taking that down whilst severely underleveled and undergeared.
What an option to have. I've only been playing AC Valhalla since I got my PS5 so when I get round to buying this game it'll be the best way to play.
I can easily see myself being at least a few months behind launch for games for the next year or 2 and then hopefully they will be patched up to perfection!
I bought my PS4 after launch when Infamous Second Son came out. I got my PS5 at launch because there were more games I wanted to play.
In my case my later buy of the PS4 moved to these launch figures for PS5, honestly I feel like there is more launch demand for it which may be offset by lower future demand.
I've heard that is because retailers have sold the Turkish version of the license which came accidently packed in the UK boxes, which is why it works on Turkish PSN. And it's only a particular version of CUSA that's affected.
PS. I am one of those affected and it's pretty annoying, but I just used the Turkish PSN.
@God_of_Nowt Maybe get some product placement type ads to increase the funding.
Like the next GTA where drinking Coca Cola or eating Dairy Milk refills your health. So it's not obtrusive but still enough that massive companies would pay to have it in there.
@God_of_Nowt So in short quality drops are going to be inevitable, I would happily keep the current format going of paying for singular titles if I could but I guess I'm in the minority when it comes to the grand scheme of things.
@God_of_Nowt
GamePass makes a loss for Microsoft which is the way everyone sees it, and you've confirmed it true. How do you think they're making that money back?
Do you see the quality/ length of future games struggle because of it? Or is it case of if they get a certain number of subscribers it'll turn to profit. I feel like alot of the GamePass got it at a reduced rate in the first place.
Personal playing previous gen doesn't appeal to me anymore, and am happy with just the PS collection. But I don't want the future of gaming to suffer because of subscription services.
@LowTech
I'm playing in hard too and in the first mission where he teaches you about using the cloak I instantly alerted them as soon as I got close to their circle.
I thought I did something stupid... Glad it's not me and just a useless feature in hard mode. Shouldn't it be more useful in hard mode because the enemies are actually harder. 🙄
I thought about doing this after I realised I could gift the PS Plus collection to my friends. Saw on Ebay that people in the UK and US were doing it for £10/$10.
Then realised it probably broke some sort of agreement and thought better of it. Glad I didn't.
But I'm completely satisfied with the product I've received so far and even if it has no further updates I will have seen it worth the amount paid. But we do know updates are coming so it will be even better.
Just tried the update and it defaults to quality mode for me. Just warning that you guys should check the settings if you want to go back to 60fps mode
While I'm not accusing you this seems very similar to a guide someone posted on Reddit yesterday, who used this to watch YouTube while playing NBA. If you are using his info, seems silly not to say so.
I had my only bug so far where I was stuck in a permanent sliding mode in between 2 pieces of terrain. Nothing I tried would work to get me unstuck until I took out the torch.
Actually I've also had the glitching bug where your sight can glitch through the object you're moving when trying to get to wealth POIs.
Yes I am after one and have noticed that they have been scalped. Seems silly though as the profit margin isn't as good and it's so much more of a luxury than the PS5.
I will happily wait for them to come back in stock, as no chance I am paying over RRP.
Just read that this scalper group is meant to have thousands of members. Suddenly this 3,500 doesn't even seem that impressive. As before I thought it was only a few people making £100K+ but it's more likely that an average of £500-£1k is made per person.
They targeted hot tubs earlier in the pandemic too
Played a bit of the new FIFA, I know this has been a problem for a long time but I wish there was a way we could adjust the time/weather of online matches.
Some stadiums in midday when they are half covered in shadow/ half sunny are absolutely impossible to play in.
Also I dont know if it's just me/ this gets easier as I get used to the game but I really struggle to identify health bushes and other point of interest. Unless they are really obvious like wealth.
I started the game on hard and the combat definitely does take getting used to. Barely an hour in so far and have died multiple times, 2 hits from a boss and you're done. I need to get gud. 😳
@2cents It was a financial decision. I bought Valhalla for £42 and is expected to last me for the next few weeks alone. By the time I'm ready to get a new game MM which you can't get for cheaper than £40 right now will be alot lower. I have no issue waiting.
I'm working out best value per playtime for me personally. So no I'm not ashamed.
Played it and have many of the same thoughts, especially regarding fast travel.
Also not being able to skip cutscenes was a bit annoying as I really didn't have much interest in the story and wanted to fast track the game to the end.
Question: We all know PS5 is cheap at RRP for its components but at £1200 is it still considered cheap? Or a savvy person would sit back and logically assess that a PC of equal price is better, and either buy a PC or wait.
So how much does it cost to build a PS5 equivalent PC?
@Kidfunkadelic83 Says my total play time is 14 hours but I think that includes time you're leaving the PS5 alone. Also if you complete all the side quests before finishing the game it won't take as long as I did. Did need a guide to help pick up all the trophies however as there's a few hidden.
It's interesting for sure. I wouldn't have played it if it wasn't free but I wanted to get it out of the way before I delved into the real meat as I would never have a chance to go back to it.
Gets strangely dark towards the end which adds an element to a seemingly innocent game. Learning how to optimise catching them can sometimes be frustrating and it does start slowly. Didn't enjoy that there's no fast travel either. But theres some haptic inclusion which makes it more enjoyable too.
@Cloud39472 Yes sure but that's not representative of real world behaviour. People see 2 PS5 games one for £50 and one for £70. Some people will ignore the differences and just go off the price alone, plus Spiderman is so much more popular.
Add to the fact that there's so much choice atm, I haven't felt the need to buy either and will buy when I'm satisfied with my completion of last gen games and Valhalla; and hopefully they both will be cheaper. Already platinumed Bugsnax and Astros Playroom.
I haven't bought Sackboy, Demons Souls or Miles Morales yet because tbh there's too much choice and I've got too many games to play. AC Valhalla alone I expect will occupy me for the next 2 weeks plus all of the PS+ collection. And GoT just went on sale so picked that up.
Miles Morales would be my first pick of those I haven't got. So I understand why the latter 2 aren't selling as well.
Last week they did well as it was all PS enthusiasts buying but now people realise the choice they have are waiting a bit.
I just plugged my PS5 in for the first time with a disc copy of PS4 AC Valhalla. Anyone have a problem where it doesn't allow you to upgrade to PS5, I can only "Copy". Am I doing something wrong, this is ridiculous?
Help plz!
Great just checked Reddit and it does appear that other people are having the same issue.
@kingv84 the quality will drop as developers will make shorter games at the very least. At worst they will reduce the quality and go for quantity/ MTX.
GamePass is very lacking in the new quality and long games that we are used to.
@zupertramp Demon Souls, Astrobot ? And you can't say cross gen doesn't count as they are completely different on PS5 anyway. No chance I can get RT on my old fat PS4.

@Sh3p3000
The PS5 Upgrade path should have been working for weeks. I believe they patched that 2 weeks after release.
If you are still having problems either you're doing something wrong or you have to chase it up because it won't be fixed anymore.

Wait could you preorder this game from 2016? I hadn't even heard of this game until this year.
Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Celebrates a Staggering 8 Million Pre-Orders
Let's be honest those 8 million sales are purely based on hype for the game.
Reviews until only very recently have not been allowed, and even then were PC based before allowing console versions since today(?).
In a more fair world C2077 would be punished by poorer sales to reflect the quality and reviews.

Thanks
