Switch 2 RPG Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma Rated for PS5

Officially, Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma has only been announced for Switch, Switch 2, and PC — but a recent rating for the RPG strongly suggests that it'll soon come to PS5 as well.

As spotted by Gematsu, the Australian Classification has a new listing for the title which confirms additional platforms, including Sony's current-gen system. The game's set to release later this week, on the 5th June — the same day that the Switch 2 drops.

Originally, Guardians of Azuma was meant to launch last month, but it was delayed for the sake of the Switch 2 version. We assume that this supposed PS5 version will be released relatively soon.

Funnily enough, Switch and PC reviews went live earlier today, with the action RPG getting some positive scores across the board. Indeed, our buddies at Nintendo Life gave it an 'excellent' 9/10 in their full Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma Switch review. One to watch out for on PS5, then.

Been wondering if they did away with crafting in this one? Would be a pretty strange change for a Rune Factory but it sounds like farming has been tuned way down?

Should have just been announced from the start. I'm glad it's coming to ps. I still need to play thru 4S tho

Was interested at start until i thought it was exclusive to switch. Definitely interested in it now

Have my Switch 2 copy pre ordered and hopefully delivered for launch day, NL's review has me even more excited for it.

Really excited for this game. Honestly didn't expect a PS5 version since Rune Factory 5 was only on Switch. But then other entries were also on PS4. Hard to figure.

This puts me in a weird spot, I have a pre-order for the Switch 2 version, but I don’t want to play an inferior version of the game. I’ll probably keep ot since who knows when this come out. Sometimes I just want clear cut excuses and non-exclusives though. I did a pre-order because I thought it was a console exclusive for the Switch 2 like 5 (which I never played) was.
