Is this it? Is it finally time? Hollow Knight: Silksong is one of the most elusive and most anticipated games in recent years, and now, fans are convinced, this time, it'll finally show up for realsies.

Summer Game Fest is just days away now, and eagle-eyed fans have spotted some back-end changes to the 2D action game's Steam page.

On SteamDB, the game's packages have been updated very recently — within the last 24 hours.

With Geoff Keighley's big summer showcase imminent, fans are putting two and two together; Silksong must be part of the lineup.

Others reason that, because the title has been shown at Xbox presentations before, it may be Microsoft's showcase on 8th June where the game breaks its silence.

Will this week finally bring us new footage? A release date? Nobody really knows, but this tiny clue is enough to send people into a frenzy.

It should be noted, however, that we've been through this before, and not that long ago.

Back in March, SteamDB tracked a small change related to Silksong, and people thought that meant it would be part of Nintendo's Switch 2 Direct. While it did appear, it was nothing more than a very brief appearance in a montage.

So, while it's very possible the game is finally re-revealed this week, we're not certain that minuscule changes noted on SteamDB are evidence of anything. We shall soon see.
