What are the best Capcom games on PS5? Japanese publisher Capcom has had its ups and downs over the years, but its more recent history cements it as one of the most consistent in the business.
With legendary franchises under its stewardship, like Resident Evil, Street Fighter, and Monster Hunter, Capcom is a prolific publisher with some of the best-loved games on PS5 and beyond.
But what are Capcom's best games on the system? We need your help working that out, and so this guide is powered entirely by your user ratings. Using the search bar below, you can look up Capcom-published PS5 games and give them a rating, and doing so will directly influence which games appear and in what order.
A game will need at least 20 ratings before it will appear on this list, so if your favourite isn't here, it probably just needs more ratings.
Anyway, to business — the best Capcom games on PS5, ranked and rated by you lot.
10. Resident Evil 3 (PS5)
A PS5 upgrade was never going to restore all of that cut content, but Resident Evil 3 on Sony's latest system is at least the best way to experience it. With extremely fast load times and impressive ray tracing support, this more action-focused entry shines with solid combat and fun environments. It's still far too short, but Resident Evil 3 is worth a playthrough for survival horror fans.
9. Dragon's Dogma 2 (PS5)
A long-awaited sequel to Capcom's cult classic action RPG, Dragon's Dogma 2 is another combat-focused romp, boasting some of the best and most dynamic monster-slaying skirmishes you'll find in gaming. The exploration is also incredibly immersive, as your custom character and their AI-driven allies brave beast-infested roads, caves, and ruins, all in the name of completing quests. The story's a little undercooked, but few games capture the spirit of adventure quite like Dragon's Dogma 2.
8. Monster Hunter Wilds (PS5)
While it retains many of the series' intricacies and quirks, Monster Hunter Wilds is probably the most accessible entry in the action RPG franchise to date. That's mainly thanks to a core story with loveable characters that gradually unpack the game's complex nature, leaving you fully prepared to enter the time-tested loop of slaying monsters and powering up your gear with the materials you gather. Playable solo with AI helpers but arguably most enjoyable in co-op, Wilds' sprawling, more dynamic environments, fraught combat, and bottomless depth come together to form one of the series' most accomplished entries.
7. Monster Hunter Rise (PS5)
After its success on Nintendo Switch, Monster Hunter Rise, erm, rises to the occasion on PS5, and it's yet another meaty action RPG from Capcom. While it falls into the usual rhythms the series is best known for, it adds to the hunt-loot-upgrade system with neat new traversal and movement mechanics. It's been somewhat superseded by Monster Hunter Wilds, but even so, there's still a lot of beast-slaying fun to be had here.
6. Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition (PS5)
We were tempted to just quote the entirety of Vergil's 'Bury the Light' theme here, but that would deny us an opportunity to rave about Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition on PS5. Simply put, this is an exceptional action game. It's Capcom at its absolute best, having crafted one of the greatest combat systems to ever grace the genre. In Special Edition, Vergil is the star of the show; unbelievably fun to play as and immaculately designed. This PS5 re-release also allows for instantaneous load times, a slew of graphics options, and the incredible Legendary Dark Knight mode.

Street Fighter 6, no question. Been playing it almost consistently since launch two years ago, have around 600 hours on it. I've been playing fighting games since SF2 in the arcades, and SF6 is quite possibly the best ever made.
My top three games of all time are WipEout 2097, Super Mario Galaxy 2, and Titanfall 2. I don't have a firm one-two-three, but those bounce around those positions. SF6 now sits with them.
Capcom has been on fire this gen. That’s an insane list of games!
RE4 VR, not even a contest
Capcom just make incredibly well made, old-fashion, great games.
Whilst I still personally prefer Resident Evil 2, it's hard to argue against Resident Evil 4 being top, especially when taking into consideration its exceptional VR mode as well. No matter how ypu look at it though, Capcom have been on a fantastic run
Village should not be that high, but RE4 remake is the best game Capcom have made up until this point. RE9 has BIG shoes to fill when it comes out.
Wow, I can't believe there have only been 10 Capcom games on PS5, many of which are simply PS4 ports. No judgment on their quality, it's a GREAT list, but...only 10!?
I've only played the Residents Evil and DMC, but of those the ranking seems about right to me!
The monster hunters are way too low. Easily Capcoms best series. I know World didn't really get a patch or ps5 version, but it plays way better on it than it did on ps4
DMC5, RE4, RE2, SF6 are all peak capcom. Tons of replayability.
Looking forward to the Onimusha reboot.
Amazing list of games. RE 4 makes me incredibly motion sick after like 20 minutes, unfortunately.
1. RE7
2. RE8
3. RE2
4. RE4
5. RE3
6. SF6
7. DMC5
8. DD2
9. MHW
10. MHR
That’s in my opinion. Pragmata soon, please?
Kunitsu-gami is definitely my number one PS5 Capcom game!
My favorite Capcom game is Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess. Sad it didn’t make the list
Would have Mega Man 11 on the list too. Probably the most I've enjoyed a game in the series since the classic NES games.
Capcom definitely has a good amount of bangers. Mostly RE games here but I have really enjoyed Street Fighter 6, Dragon Dogma 2, and Monster Hunter Wilds. I mostly played Monster Hunter Rise on Switch though.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 is such an under appreciated gem, it’s a truly unique experience that captures a sense of adventure like no other game I’ve played. It’s also just plain weird, in an endearing, curious way.
