Another relatively action-packed weekend has come to a conclusion. It's time to unwind with some good old fashioned video games. Here's what we're playing.

Now that I've wrapped up DOOM: The Dark Ages and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, I have a somewhat quiet weekend of gaming ahead of me. Naturally, that has me thinking it may finally be time to start up that back-to-back playthrough of The Last of Us games that I've been wanting to get to for so long.

If the 1994 vertical shmup, Arcade Archives NebulasRay — which costs more at £11.99 — is indicative of Hamster charging extra for Namco's mid-1990s coin-ops, I still won't be able to resist buying arcade Ridge Racer on June 5th. I just need to decide if it's worth shelling out for NebulasRay, too.

A predictable weekend from me: I need to catch up on my Zenless Zone Zero quests. There's always one game that needs my attention these days.
That's what we're up to, but what about you? As always, let us know your gaming itinerary in the comments section below.

This weekend I will play on a small nostalgia note called World of Warcraft. I will level just a little in Season of Discovery after not playing for over a year!
On the side I have Exhumed and Silent Hill 2
Have a nice weekend everyone!!!
Almost finished with D4 S8 (two armor unlock missing), and either will continue with Monster Hunter Wilds or I will start Cyberpunk 2077 (which I bought yesterday).
Crisis Core FF7 Reunion on PS5. Only a few hours in but already getting my ass kicked by 3rd boss, more grinding needed 💪
Doom The Dark Ages on XBX gamepass. Completed the 1st level but already loving it more than Eternal, which I hated.
More Oblivion Remastered on XBX, it's got its claws into me in a big way. Such nostalgic memories of '06 ! I love how it's more of a hardcore RPG than Skyrim too ( which i adore btw)
Have a great weekend guys and gals ❤️
@Zuljaras ...the latest WoW expansion The War Within has been absolutely outstanding. Such a game changer for the future of WoW
Gone all the way back to Dragon Age: Origins on PS3, as I plan on playing through the whole series over the next few years. Can’t believe how much this game has aged in terms of the technical aspects (the frame rate drops down to single digits at points 😅) but I’m still enjoying the trip down memory lane.
Just playing through the Mages Circle for the second time in two days (to get both outcomes) and what a great level/section that is. This section alone took up most of my day yesterday trying to work out where the hell I needed to go but pretty much done on my second run in half the time as it’s fresh in the memory. Looking forward to going deeper.
Might fit the odd round of golf in on PGA 2K23 too. Have a good one peeps.
@graymamba ...love the whole series, despite daft criticisms of II and Veilguard. DA2 has some great DLC too, well worth it
After a little slow start I'm finally getting hooked into Indiana Jones. Beautiful looking game.
Have a nice weekend all
Playing the KCD2 DLC and for £5 it's very good (was there even any doubt?)
Likely nothing for today, but that's because I'm hyped to starting Fantasy Life i tomorrow (pre-ordered for Early Access). Think I've already decided I'll start with the Miner life first.
Happy gaming weekend y'all!
This weekend I am mostly playing:
Ark:Survival Ascended
Balatro (on Black chip difficulty)
Also will be scaring my children and an arachnophobic friend with a short horror game called Huntsman.
Enjoy your gaming weekend everyone!
Doom The Dark Ages really liking the shield great addition to the gameplay. Also picked up The Precinct for some classic GTA and Blades of Fire Demo
Howdy, good people.
Bought limited edition of Assassin's Creed Shadows for 45$, and it finally motivated me to finish Rise of the Ronin. God it's huge. Also playing Doom Dark Ages on PC. Much, much better than Eternal, might be the best Doom game since 2.
Stella blade and Ishin
I unfortunately ran into a progression bug (boo!) in Star Wars Jedi Survivor, so sadly my playthrough is at an end. After this I started playing the excellent Robocop: Rogue City that I snagged as part of PS Plus earlier this year. It’s honestly exceeded all expectations: it’s bloody brilliant! Hunting the platinum as we speak.
Just recharge my OLED Vita for Deception 4: The Nightmare Princess. After all these years, this game is still fun to play. Laying all the traps, lure the enemies, and then execute the traps into a cool-funny-brutal combo always satisfying to watch. The game also has multiple ending, dungeon / map editor, and a feature where we can upload our own video or download other players missions which is really cool.
I wish more people buy Deception series. Maybe if KT throw a marketing "This is like Home Alone but you play as a hot chick who try to ressurect the demon!" can attract more people to play it lol. Oh well...RIP Deception series 😔
Have a good weekend everyone 🍻
Cleaning up the last hordes in Days Gone Remastered.
A couple of runs in Balatro.
Have a great weekend.
@graymamba I go back to Origins regularly too and can't say I agree with the frame rate issues, as it always seems fine for me 🤔...Do agree with the Mage Tower section - initially I absolutely hated that part - over these last 15+ years though, it's definitely warmed on me 🙂
I'll be doing a Bob Burnquist run in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 after finishing career mode with Bam Margera, Darth Maul and Rodney Mullen. Have a great gaming weekend everyone!
I will continue playing the excellent kingdom come deliverance royal edition.i will also be continue playing the amazing yakuza like a dragon.i will watch legendary sitcoms TV 📺 comedy shows in family matters.good times.the Jeffersons.sanford and son.different strokes.and saved by the bell.word up son
After finishing Mafia i started Mafia II, so i'll be playing that to keep me busy till tomorrow. Tomorrow i'll be playing Fantasy Life I when early-access goes live.
I really want to play WWE 2K25, Fatal Fury COTW, and Monster Hunter Wilds. But I can’t, because I’m out of town this weekend. But I got my Switch with me. So it’s gonna be Lunar Remastered Collection, Capcom Fighting Game Collection 2, and Super Mario Party Jamboree.
I bought Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 during the week & am looking forward to starting that. I hear it's not bad
I'm trying squeeze every bit of game play out of Expedition 33. I absolutely adore this game.
Helldivers 2.
The new update is nuts. Feels like the chaos from launch all over again.
I'll be playing Ninja Gaiden 2 Black and Mafia 2 Definitive Edition. Trying to finish the trilogy of both IPs before the fourth gets released later this year.
Mainly Clair Obscur - and I love it. On act 3 now, still absolutely amazing and its really a game were I’m enjoying exactly every aspect of it which doesnt happen very often.
This weekend is all about Expedition 33 as I wrap up Act 3 and work on the platinum. What an incredible game that has moved me more than many games. Afterwards I continue to chip away at Blue Prince and First Beserker Khazan which both fell into hiatus with Expedition.
Lastly I’ll try out some Blades of Fire and maybe touch Onimusha or Trepang 2
Cannot wait for switch 2. Ps5 has been a massive let down
Fallen off gaming a bit lately. Gave up on Expedition 33 after getting stuck on a boss. Been playing a bit of Fzero 99 and Luigis mansion on the switch but thats really about it. I tend to get a bit of gamers block every year where i just dont fancy playing anything.
Greetings fellow video game enthusiasts. I will be playing Atelier Yumia and Mario Party Jamboree. I played it for the first time the other day, won all the mini-games, and yet still came second overall because someone else got a star for moving the least amount of spaces. This is the greatest injustice known to man. Have a great weekend everyone.
While waiting for the next patch for the The Midnight Walk, I played more of the excellent psvr2 adaptation of hitman, which is basically 2 games in one. It can be played as intended or as a fps. It is quite difficult to resist the temptation to play it as the latter ...
Doom Dark Ages and The Precinct, loving both of them but its sunny here in Scotland (and rare) so i need to get out 🌞🌞
@Styledvinny79 So a chap with Yoshi as an avatar and "everything Nintendo" as his blurb thinks the PS5 is a letdown? Who'd have thunk it.
Oh well, enjoy those gimped ports that will run worse than the Series S, and overpriced remasters.
Finished Claire Obscur last night - what an absolute masterpiece. It’s a solid 10/10 for me.
Going to play Mafia definitive edition as a palette cleanser before starting cyberpunk 2077 which I picked up on steam deck. I wanted to play it on ps5 but no FOV slider ruled it out.
"I see you gather before me..hungry... terrified... clutching your babes to your breast." Hats off to CDPR keeping this masterpiece evergreen with current gen touches, looks like a game released recently. Playing its equally essential partner - CP2077. Still on the outstanding BG3 also, some EAWRC and HFW. Backwards compatibility from PS4 coupled with enhanced versions makes PS5 an overwhelming gen with so many games, that I'm not too worried anymore the likes of ND don't have a new game out.
I am still in recovery from Platinum-ing Clair Obscur Expedition 33... Been keeping my fingers busy with a lil Balatro and I have Spiders-men 2 installed and ready to go when I feel a bit less emotionaly vulnerable.
Expedition 33 is my GoTY so far this year.
Still playing sunshine and beer, long may it continue
The usual suspects for me so it's forza horizon 5 and EA wrc..I've downloaded the blades of fire demo as it looks pretty good oh and I'll probably be ordering my t598 steering wheel and pedals this afternoon too..have a great weekend folks👍
I’m playing Promise mascot agency. I fell in love with their previous game Paradise killer, and I’m happy it’s still its still a joyful kooky experience.
Y’know, I was going to play Doom: The Dark Ages, and I still might. Given the reviews, I can almost predict exactly how I’ll feel about it, which feels nice to know, given I’ve largely gambled with games I’ve picked up this year and lost the dice roll, but then… I downloaded Red Dead Redemption 2 again because my son drew a western themed comic on his napkin while we were taking my wife out for Mother’s Day, and I booted it up and started a new save and it’s just so good. There hasn’t been a single PS5 era game that’s THIS good (though Death Stranding 2 is right around the corner and that’s got the potential). Man, is it good. I’ve beaten it, played it to death, but man, I can’t get over it. I suspect I may be playing it til I’m sitting outside a store on June 4th trying to acquire a Switch 2 the old fashioned way.
I'm just about to murder a Selûnite cleric because my evil blood wills it. This is in Baldur's Gate 3, by the way, I'm not a psychopathic lunatic.
I’ll be trying to play life of strange double exposure. So far it feels like I’m playing a Disney Channel show made for adults so it may be abandoned before the weekend is over. Other than that I’ll give the precinct another go but it’s also not tickling my gaming pickle so who knows maybe I’ll finally play one the dozens of point-and-click adventures I keep on buying on gog on sale.
Going to finish off expedition and start playing kcd2 again been waiting for the new patch and dlc ,will mix that up with the precinct, its really rather excellent, for 24.99 its a bargain, very enjoyable and very moreish
I, like many here, will be playing a bit of the old Mafia I this weekend. And maybe I'll check out the KCDII DLC a "Double Vavra" if you will. 😅
I may get back to AC Shadows at some point, having fallen off it due to the warmer than average spring being counterintuitive to playing massively consuming games. (Time gaming naturally reduces when its nice weather!) but that seems to be subsiding for the next week or so. I don't know i'm fully commited to that, however 🤷♂️
Barely played anything for over a week but plan on wrapping up expedition 33 this weekend…
@Styledvinny79 so hundreds of games and you feel let down ? What's the matter not enough numbers on the end for ya 😁
I've got 3 trophies to go for Oblivion platinum so probably focus on that really enjoyed it even with all the bugs and performance issues. Might resub to Gamepass and start Doom.
It feels like I might finish Hogwarts. Really enjoyed it. Boltgun or Death Stranding next? Maybe try some more Blue Prince
@lazarus11 the rich man has more ps5 games than you Lazarus to know it has been a let down. Thanks for your comment though. Appreciated
Should really carry on Oblivion but I'll probably just end up on Elden Ring
@somnambulance that is the single best reason I've ever heard for a replay of Red Dead II
Close to wrapping up what seems like the end of Act 2 in Clair Obscur. Once that's done I'll put a few hours into Stellar Blade. Have a good weekend all!
I'm really not sure. I got fed up with Metaphor this week and pulled the plug. 30+ hours in, and I'm over the way this game is designed. I don't like it.
My backlog is ridiculous. I really have no clue what to play right now. Since putting Metaphor back in its case, I must have cycled through 10 or 15 games, saving at the first opportunity, and then bailing on them. Maybe it's just a good weekend to knock out multiple projects.
Short answer: let's go with nothing.
Have a good weekend, everybody.
This weekend I am finally wrapping up the platinum trophy for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. I’ve completed every optional boss, all thirty-three levels of the Endless Tower, and all additional side content, so all I have left to do is reach level 99. I’m six levels away, so I’m just grinding.
Even now, after essentially 100%’ing the game, I’m even more enamored with it than I was originally. I’m having a total blast using pictos and creating new unique builds, and seeing how far I can push my damage output. I’ve beaten some end-game bosses with one hit, and it’s very satisfying.
This game is without a doubt my GOTY. It has been expertly paced from start to finish. The story is deep and impactful, every character is fully developed and interesting, exploration is rewarding, and it’s a masterclass in roleplaying. Typically, the longer you play a game the more you begin to see its flaws, but not here - I might just consider it the perfect JRPG.
Once I wrap that up, I’ll officially start DOOM: The Dark Ages. I’ve been attempting to go into it as blind as possible, but I’ve read a few reviews that say it plays similarly to the 2016 reboot. I hope this is true because as much as I love Eternal and its relentless nature, I liked the slower pace - well, slower for DOOM standards - and the weapons better.
Continuing to catch-up on the PS4 library.
Finished Shadow of the Colossus (just as I remembered from the PS2) and Lost Legacy (much better than U4)
PS4 - Last of Us 2
PSP - NHL 07
Nioh 2 and street fighter alpha 3
I'll continue Doom The Dark Ages. I'm at chapter 5 or 6 if I remember correctly. I'm having a blast.
I'm finally getting in a groove with the Iki island expansion in Ghost of Tsushima Directors Cut and beginning to enjoy it. Once I eventually finish the game (plan to platinum it again) I'll head back to finish off and platinum Unicorn Overlord Maybe by then the Oblivion Remaster will be patched and playable and I'll buy it.
Have great weekend folks!
The new Doom, which is just blowing me away. I only played a little of Doom 2016 before this and thought it was ok (I'm sure it was a different story when it came out). Aside from that, plowing through Demon's Souls for the first time which I am loving but getting my )#$ handed to me. Am going to try and continue the Midnight Walk as well, but Doom is taking priority right now.
After the complete dissapointment of God of War 2018 I went back to my PS3 to play the classics. Finished 1 already which I absolutely loved and now I'm halfway through II which is even better.
I really miss this kind of hack'n slash gameplay and a protagonist like Kratos.
I don't think there's anything like it nowadays.
On ps5 still more tlou, and try to finish off all the limited event stuff from the gachas
On pc, still more mh world. I absolutely adore this game. And I think it might be my favorite out of the new gen trio. It's the closest one that feels like the older monster hunters. I also picked up FF13, GTA 4, and Witcher 1 really cheap. I'm trying to decide which one to play 1st
Finally made it to Taymr on Snowrunner last night so I’ll be tipping trucks over this evening and the next week or so lol. But first a family trip to Cosford museum. Have a good one chapessess
@Judal27 I'm a Pro- FF13 gamer so that's my vote 😁 I'm holding out for a Remaster playable on PS5
I'm very close to plat Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion, and them finally move to Rebirth. Also started Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 2 as well. Remembering how incredible the voice acting is. Top class. This weekend there will be less gaming, but we always carry on!!
The thought of sitting in front of a console with that weather outside is making my toes curl, so I've gone on a hike, been at a barbeque, and am off to a beer party later.
I'm still in Indy, loving it. Taking my time doing field work and finding secrets. Really glad it came to PS5
@MrPeanutbutterz 100% lol
@hugoadan just finished the base game in Nioh 1 almost through the 1st dlc. I’m gonna take a nioh break after that but I’m excited to get into 2. Such a great game
The PS5 Pro has been put through the paces with Days Gone Remastered this Friday and Saturday belongs to KCD II. It has been a while, I must say.
@3Above it's definitely calling to me the most out of the 3. It was the 1st game I wishlisted when I got on steam lol. And yea a physical trilogy would be amazing and am still hoping happens
PS5 - Expedition 33 is my main game until I get the plat. The only other games installed on it are HSR and ZZZ but I'm only doing their dailies until 3.3 releases next week for HSR.
I'm still chipping away at POP:TLC. It basically does everything right for a Metroid style game.
Baldur's Gate 3
Finally getting a bit burnt out on it after 180 hours. I think I'm going to just try to wrap up the story along with a couple of side quests and call it.
Mario kart before world arrives
@Styledvinny79 what a fantastic retort ,it was like a riddle me this , looking at your other comments, may I suggest you use all those riches to buy yourself some English lessons.
@lazarus11
He struts with facts he half recalls,
Mistakes for wit his every stall.
A knowing nod, a pompous grin—
Yet clueless where the truth begins.
@lazarus11 If your shelf looks bare and your games are few,
And PS5 quests are calling you,
Don’t sit in silence, don’t delay—
Just drop me a line, I might just pay.
I just finished the story in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 after putting off the last mission for a few days and it absolutely sticks the landing. GOTY, time for the platinum and NG+.
Doom: The Dark Ages (Series X) Going to be starting this this weekend. One of my most anticipated games this year.
Madden 25 (Series X) After successfully defeat the Lions in Super Bowl 60 I am looking to start my third year on the Denver Broncos and go for the Super Bowl repeat.
Diablo Immortal (PC) Yes I do have a phone but I will be playing it on PC. I am still in a Diablo mood and am a bit curious about Immortal. Just looking to do a playthrough of the story and nothing more.
I've been playing Zenless Zone Zero. I've always loved the look of Hoyoverse games, but find it hard to get into them, but I'm happy to say this one has clicked with me. It's like if Persona and Jet Set Radio had a baby.
@Kidfunkadelic83 What boss did you get stuck on?
@KingPev It is ok for a modern WoW expansion. But the game is so fast now and so ... spammy that every class feels identical.
Started experiencing KCD II on the Pro.
Good people of Earth, the Pro upgrade is SO worth it. That world is even more fully realised and more beautiful with a little more graphical prowess under the hood. It is so peaceful to stroll through the woods and lands of this game - minus the bitter battles and funny exchanges that always pop up during your travels. I came by a hunter's lodge which also doubled as a smokehouse and the smoke was coming out of the windows of that house and it was hard to describe how awesome the game looks from the perspective of heat and smoke particles alone. I have missed my GOTY. I know Expedition 33 is good, but even though I've yet to try it there can be no one else but KCD!
Ghost Wire Tokyo, still making my way through Shibuya, Tokyo.
PS5 - Fantal Fury: City of the Wolves, Capcom Fighting Collection 2
Switch - Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition
@GirlVersusGame that is a Paladin from WoW with Tier 2 Raid armor set called Judgement armor.
It is a mashup between the original 2005 version and the latest "remastered" version of the set.
I've been playing the Half Lite retro inspired indie Kvark, which released this week. Plays great (just change the sensitivity to 20 on PS5). £15 banger.
Hi my name is Old_Gamer74 and I am a Balatro addict.
It has been 30 seconds since my last run.
I should have heeded the warnings here!!
@Nalim half way through Mafia 1 and having loads of fun after taking an age to win that damn car race. 2nd about a dozen times!!
Been playing Dave the Diver all week so more of that when I can amongst the fun in the sun with friends
I have a REALLY busy schedule this weekend so I don’t have much time to game but when I do I’ll be playing DOOM: The Dark Ages. Hope everyone enjoys their games!
@Styledvinny79
They call him styledvinny79,
He thought his comments where quite sublime,
A witty quip he did tell,
Although he struggled how to spell,
I thought I'd waste some precious time,
With this silly little rhyme,
But now I'm bored so enoughs enough,
Oh you're not, well that's just tough,
So bugger off you silly runt,
No more time I'll waste on a nutty cu*t,
Your replies they all seem so half cocked,
Don't reply, you've just been blocked.
@PlatinumMikey Sure the PS5 + TV kicks out enough heat to make my dork room reasonably warm during the winter. Running them in this time of year is like a sauna lol.
@lazarus11 ....🤣🤣🤣 a purely genius reply....you've won the comments section this week !
@old_gamer74 Yes that race can be really annoying and i had to do it on classic mode for the platinum. It helps to just stay 3rd since the 2 cars before you always crash in the 2nd and 3rd lap, so you ll be in the lead right before the finish. And getting all the collectibles took some time. Still a great game though, enjoy it!
@MrPeanutbutterz ha sure does man. We spent the day at RAF Cosford museum which is an absolutely brilliant place to visit! Can’t recommend it enough if you’re able to travel there. Today we’re in the garden and I’m doing the Spitfire airfix I brought from the shop 😁 chilled 😎
Playing Skyrim, which I haven’t played since 2011! Holds up quite well, although obviously some quality of life features that we have now are glaring in their absence. But loving it again. Also Borderlands 3, a new Fl4k playthrough. Man, have I got my money out of that game…must have put 200 hours into it on PS5, and am nearing 120 on PS5!
Ive had a visitor overnight, so Ive not been able to play much apart from a few Forza Horizon 5 races. Been watching F1 today, but now thats finished maybe some Doom, if not its Expedition 33.
Hope you're all having a great one!
Well here we go with another awesome WAYP. The week was some amazing games all around. Mostly Mario and Luigi, Pirate Yakuza, WWE2K25, Clair Obscur Expedition 33, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition, Atelier Yumia, Fatal Fury City of the Wolves and Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake. Yeah I missed last weeks WAYP because I spent an absolutely amazing weekend in NYC with my GF for Mothers Day meeting the extended family and all that but yeah I not only finally beat Trails Through Daybreak but I got to start Clair Obscur and Indiana Jones. When it comes to Trails I gotta say the game ended strong, it was absolutely amazing and I can’t wait to start Daybreak II. As for the other two we’re gonna start with Indiana Jones as that game is just pure fun it feels like I’m playing one of the movies and I’m just having a ball the whole time really. But Clair Obscur. Oh my I think that could be GOTY already. I don’t know of a game outside Metaphor that I boot up every time and fall in love with over and over and actually feel sad when I gotta get off for the the night. It’s magnificent. Most of the weekend was spent with Donkey Kong Country Returns HD and Clair Obscur. Donkey Kong continues to be fun I’m at World 4 and I think it'll hold me over until Bananza comes out. Clair Obscur I’ve already raved about I just made it to Act 2 last night. Absolutely beautiful. Rest of the weekend I’m thinking is gonna be some Atelier Yumia and Indiana Jones. Yumia is a comforting fun cozy little game that perfectly fits the vibes of a Sunday and honestly I do wanna beat a Atelier game this year and I think it could be this one. And of course with Indiana Jones I’m just excited to continue on solving some of the mysteries and exploring the semi open world. Score some trophies. Just all and all have some good fun ya know? Otherwise I’m thinking this week is mostly gonna consist of some Mario and Luigi Brothership, Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake, Tales of Graces F Remastered, Split Fiction, Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, Monster Hunter Wilds, Disgaea 7, Atelier Yumia, Fatal Fury City of the Wolves, Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition, WWE2K25, Clair Obscur, Indiana Jones and Pirate Yakuza. Wanna try to start Trails Through Daybreak II and DOOM The Dark Ages too. They both seem really exciting and really fun and I just can’t wait to dig in to them. The wrestling thing this week being WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event and Money in the Bank. Two events I’m extremely nostalgic for as the first is something I deeply credit to my relationship with my partner forming. And Money in the Bank being related to one of the first shows I saw in person being part of Qualifying Matches for it. Anime of the week gotta go to Shangri La Frontier and Sakamoto Days. Sakamoto Days continues to amaze and I finished stuff like Shangri La and Solo Leveling and so hopefully next WAYP I’ll have the very late Spring Picks. Podcasts of this week gotta go to Castle Superbeast, Big Think Dimension, Into The Aether, RPGsites Tetracast, Minnmax, Jeff Gerstmann, Kit and Krysta, Punching Up, Easy Allies, Second Wind, Nextlander, Cultaholic Wrestling, Weapon Wheel Podcast, Let’s Anime and Remap Radio. As always yall stay safe, be cool to each other. Have a totally safe and amazing weekend and of course Happy Gaming.
@Kraven i cant remember its name. It was part way through chapter 2 tho. I tried 3 time and it wiped out most of my party within 2 hits.
I attacked my neighbour's dog with a branch. That's kind of a game.
@get2sammyb what game is the image at the top from?
