@KilloWertz All digital is already the majority of game sales so that’s already the “norm”. Sure game streaming will be bad in more rural areas but that’s just how things are. New tech always takes longer to permeate in areas of lower population density. The beginnings of game streaming being a convenient and viable option for enough people to make a difference isn’t far at all.

I’m not even close to filling up my SSD since I delete games when I’m done and only download what I’m actively playing. Have this set to pre-load as soon as it drops, but I still might invest in an internal SSD next year if I can get my hands on a Series X fairly soone

It’s aesthetically pleasing but the UI is pretty frustrating at times. I always feel like I’m digging to get to what I want. I care about 3 things, getting in and out of a game quickly, getting to my trophies, and getting to power off quickly. All of those things now take more time than on PS4. I almost always mix up dashboard and quick menu, getting to trophies takes a while, and then getting back also take forever when before it was just a double tap of the PS Button. Cards are pretty much just in the way and never what I want, I really only care about trophy progression and usually that’s only I the cards when I’m NOT looking for it for some reason. Also maybe someone can help me out but is there any other way to pull your current game to the top of the trophy list without getting a trophy in that game bc I can find out how to do it

I have an issue that even though I turned the USB ports on in rest mode it doesn’t power my Astro A50 Base station in rest mode from the back USB ports which isn’t a huge deal but means my headset only charges when the system is on. Does anyone else have this problem?

Yknow I really don’t mess with CoD anymore even though I use to be hardcore into it between Cod 4 and Blops 2 and dipped out but this map man... it always makes me at least consider it when they announce it lol

Tbh I don’t think it matters anymore. We were all worried about cross gen games bc of Halo and how cross gen was the blam for the way it looked but literally every other game that’s come out this launch has proven that’s not really an issue. So I don’t care if it’s on last gen, if it looks and runs better on my Ps5 that’s all I care about

Setup was really easy it I had an issue with the transferring of games and save files I got an error message after a few minutes once the actual main screen came up. Unfortunately I had to go to work so I didn’t get a chance to look at what happens but definitely really excited to dive into it tonight!

@Topov81 It sort of is in a way. If you get Mm you can pay $20 later to get it added on but it’s not available standalone. My guess is it will be later but for now they want to boost MM sales. Basic at the same play as CoD 4 Remastered being linked to Infinite Warfare and then eventually release later

@cschene there should be an option on the game page in the PS Store to buy it now. They added the ability to actually buy redeemed games a while back

@DualshockInfinit I’d still go on a browser and redeem it so you have it when you do get a new console

At this point they are probably going to sell through whatever they can get out at least into January. Whatever they can get on shelves is going to sell

I can’t even figure out how to redeem PS Plus game which is literally all I use it for. On top of that they STILL don’t properly support Safari it signs me out every minute or so

Does it actually work on safari now? It worked fine for years and since late last year it won’t keep me signed in. I have to use the PS App to redeem my PS Plus games when I’m not home bc of it and it’s been that way for almost a year

Why did they not realize this was a bad idea... hope it’s not too baked into PS5 there was nothing wrong with the previous party system

@Insightful How is it doomed to fail bc of PS Plus? PS Plus has almost many concurrent subscribers as people who own an Xbox One....

@Ryall I don’t think I’ve ever heard for a controller coming with a cable literally ever, they always come with the console. That being said if you already have a USBC cable like many already do you can charge it right away

@HotGoomba I think this further legitimizes what I and others have said that whatever the next version of PSVR is will be closer to what Occulus Quest is. The controller light bar facing the player could mean that the tracking is on the headset itself and if the camera isn’t for VR as well that could be further proof. The other two options is it is needed for PSVR 2 but tracks differently so just isn’t compatible with the current version or the worst option they just aren’t moving forward with VR at all

Ok the one thing I really don’t understand is how we expand the SSD, I thought there was supposed to be a second bay where you could at a compatible NVME drive but they didn’t mention that at all at least not in what I could gather in English

@OneManDroid Astro announced that an HDMI splitter will be available starting this month to make all optical headset compatible with Series X and PS5

@get2sammyb optical cable, but they will be selling an HDMI adapter to they will connect to PS5

@NEStalgia You do realize Insomniac has multiple teams working on 3 games at the same time right? This is surely the smallest team so a year on these improvements is actually not only reasonable while developing Miles Morales and Ratchet and Clank at the same but impressive

I’ve ALWAYS thought the original looked really weird. He looked way too old, his ears made him look like a chimpanzee, and his eyes were too big it didn’t look right. I like the new version better alright he might be a LITTLE too young

@JJ2 That’s still not how it works. It downloads the whole game when you insert the disk, the disk is basically just and unlock key. It worked like that on 360 and PS3 where it only downloaded certain assets, but now it’s the whole thing the only really difference from that and digital download is as many people as you pass the disk to can play it

Thats nog enormous. Uncharted 4 was close to 100gb when it came out. War zone takes up over that, a lot of games are pushing 100gb these days this is actually not that bad

Mine is an Amazon preorder and tbh I’m totally fine with this. As long as I get it before December and I know it’s on it’s way I’m not upset about having to wait I get it. I just want to know I’m going to get the thing.

Also please for the love of god revamp the combat in ME 1 to be like 2 and 3. I tried going back to finally play that game and couldn’t get through more than 15 minutes

@Broosh if it’s just a remaster and not a remake I’d imagine whatever this is is probably just however it already runs on PC, but on console
