A new Hellblade game will release on PS5 in 2027, named simply Senua.
This one follows on from PS4 game Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice and its sequel Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, which was ported to the PS5 shortly after its original Xbox and PC launch.
You can check out a trailer above.
The press release says:
"A Celtic warrior is trapped between life and death in a fractured vision of purgatory. In an action adventure set in the Hellblade universe, Senua fights to reach the afterlife and reunite with those she loved and lost, battling forces that threaten all she believes in.

Break through a vision of Senua’s mind to confront the threat within and without, mastering tactical combat to overcome nightmarish creatures born of myth and fear. Explore a world shaped by memory and meaning as Senua seeks a path to inner peace, in a defining standalone story of defiance, choice and legacy."
So this sounds like a more gameplay heavy take on the franchise, which has been a lot more cinematic and story-based in the past.
Is this a series still on your radar? Let us know below.

Another interactive film then, no wonder they make them so quick with so little gameplay.
I really hope Asha is interviewed after because right now I can't see the logic in still bringing games to PlayStation but are like "nah Gears is ours."
One more announced game to boycott.
I hope this will be better than Hellblade 2 was. I’ll keep tabs on this for sure.
Hated the 2nd game, so won't be returning for this
@AdamNovice I don't see the logic of them thinking that exclusives are going to save Xbox, they lost the player base, while they had exclusives.
Its mindboggling whats going on over there.
@Bez87 Usually you can't put the genie back in the bottle but for Sony they might get away with it since their single player games were suffering from diminished sales.
Xbox? I'm not convinced, Sea of Thieves and Forza 5 did great, Gears is tough to judge because it's a remaster of a 20 year old game whereas I think E-Day would do much better. I agree it is mindboggling, the whole "which platforms will these be on?" Has completely overshadowed the show.
@AdamNovice She probably had a meeting with the higher ups and they told her she can have one game as an exclusive, she gets to pick lol.
Oooh, no Gears but here you go, have a glorified tech demo on us.
Cheers, Asha, you truly are spoiling us.
Absolutely hate these games with a passion, these are what people who don't like Sony describe Playstation exclusives as, except these are literal boring interactive movies.
@UltimateOtaku91 Not the best choice if that's the case lol.
I thought the first game had promise. But seeing how the second game turned out and how quick now a third can be turned around I imagine it’s just another walking sim.
@Juanalf Preach. I remember buying the first one on PS4 due to the buzz and sat agog at my screen at how laughably bad it was.
There's few series in gaming I genuinely hate, but this trash is very much one of them.
Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice
Senua's Saga: Hellblade II
Now Senua.
These names keep getting worse. Just call it Hellblade 3. I swear they'll call Hellblade 4 just "Sen".
@XenonKnight uh.... why?
@AdamNovice The difference with Sony was, they put their games on PC for the sheer fact of gaining more profit. You can see that by the drib and drab approach of games they put on. Pulling back really won't effect anything because their main source of income is on their own platform, which has sold probably over 100m now.
Xbox's problem was never exclusives, they had them, they started putting games on playstation because they needed to, because Xbox was sinking and they panicked.
The problem with Xbox is and was the gamers are just not there. Xbox including the series S are at around 40m sold.
Gears cant save them, it was never a system seller and now pulling it back isn't going to entice players back so all theyve done now is give the ones who are still there a game for themselves well them and pc players and that didnt work in the first place.
And your right, it seems like every other game is coming anyway so all they've done now is completely confused the players.
There is no hope, I just cant see a way back for them, the damage was already done years ago.
This kinda bums me out. When there was concern for the studio's future after Hellblade 2 released it was rumored that Ninja Theory were moving on to something "brand new". Now I guess they're just going to keep dragging this out 😔
@AdamNovice Tbf, she probably wants to appease their player base at least a little (especially the loud ones on social media for some reason). But after Hellblade 2, even the suits at MS probably realize making that exclusive would be a pretty bad idea.
I ignored all the warnings about 2 and bought it on PS5 at Christmas on a PSN sale and found it looked amazing but was dull.
I enjoyed the 1st game but 2 was dull
@beltmenot
Read what I said in the post about E-day.
(Because they are not bring it to ps5 I will be boycotting all Microsoft/Activation/Blizzard/ZeniMax games and anything from Microsoft.
They don't want me as a customer and I dont need them because my Playstation Library has grown so large.)
FYI I could technically play anything coming out on game pass before December of 2027 without paying a penny more but I hate windows 11 so I will not.
Wow, I'm shocked that I'm maybe the most positive person in this comment section, so far, about Hellblade 3, considering I absolutely HATED Hellblade 2. This looks to be way more in line with what I really liked about the first Hellblade.
Also, yeah, this going to PS5 but Clockwork Revolution and E-Day not makes zero sense to me.
I thought they'd killed it off? Feck it. I'm game. The first one was great, although still ain't got anywhere near the followup yet...
I wish they would return to Enslaved, my clear fav game by the studio.
...why? Wish they would move on from this dreadfully boring series
@UltimateOtaku91 the second game was delayed a bunch of times. Why are you making crap up?
