Re: Talking Point: Was EA Play 2021 Any Better Than Usual?

@RBMango Lost in Random does look really good. EA have been on roll when it comes to helping and funding these amazing look indies over the last couple of year... It Take Two, A Away Out, both Unravel and Unravel 2. Still have to try Knockout City

@Flaming_Kaiser Even with the Wii U being a failure. It still sold 13-15 million. That still nothing to scoff at. It only looks like a failure after coming off the back of system that sold 100 million.

For something that people are calling a niche, and for a device that has a sibling that maybe offers a better experience. It about to out due the Vita sales. It shows that when done correctly handheld devices sell well, and aren't a niche. It also just shows that Sony is incompetent when it comes to handhelds.

Re: Xbox Boss Is a Big Fan of Sony's PS5 Controller

@Nepp67 That basically a decent play session for me which means I'm usually having to charge my controller 2-3 during the weekend. Even with my shorter play session during the week. I'm charging 2-3 times during the week. I'm a heavy FFXIV player, and nothing suck more when you're doing raids back to back with your FC and the controller goes dead... And your scrambling to find a cable. It just not economical to spend $70 on controller to just use it when your main run out of charge. When I can spend less than $15 on a pack of rechargeable.

Re: Xbox Boss Is a Big Fan of Sony's PS5 Controller

@Nepp67 That not a good reason when you can buy a pack of rechargeable batteries for less then $15. You'll also swapping controller (which take just as long) more than you'll be swapping batteries. My dualsense barely lasts one decent play session. My Xbox controller lasts a couple play before I have swap batteries.

From the sound of this comment section. It seems that I'm the only one with interest in playing with our PC brothers. With this my interest in this game went from "No buy" to "Day 1 purchase". I don't have friend who only play on console, and I would love to play with my friend on PC. I'm glad that this generation is allowing people to buy platform of their choice based on feature and games, and not just cause "My friend plays on this platform" like pervious generations.

They're bring in a lot of character that 90s and early 2000s kids will remember. Leaning so hard on that nostalgia factor with the character rooster... Which is funny considering the target audience probably haven't heard or seen like 90% of the character shown in this trailer. Even the The TMNT designs isn't even from the CGI show or Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but the design from the 90s show.

Re: Judgment Series Future Unclear as Lead Actor's Agency Reportedly Disrupts SEGA's Plans

@nessisonett They are still completely separate games tho. You don't have to play Yakuza to know what is happening in Judgement , and you don't have to play Judgement to know what is happening Yakuza. This is only affecting Judgement, and the first game isn't on PC... So anyone PC player who wanted to play the second one haven't even played the first one.

If they make an 8th Yakuza that will still be releasing on PC so...

@Olmaz What is with these continued comparisons to Netflix. The issue with Netflix is Netflix own doing. They waited too long in creating their own content and relied too heavily on 3rd party content and IPs. That when major companies like Disney started pulling shows and movies. Netflix was left scrambling to provide their own content for the platform. Truth be told... Netflix doesn't make enough profit for that, so they still to have make deals and buy exclusive streaming right to 3rd party shows and movies. Meaning there is only so money much left for their own in house shows and movies.

Microsoft doesn't have this problem. They are already setting themselves up better than Netflix did. Microsoft from day 1 was already pushing their own in house created content. Microsoft buying major publisher like Bethesda is so when companies like EA and Ubisoft start pulling their games from the platform. Microsoft aren't left scrambling to try and catch up by lowering the quality of games. Microsoft also aren't just limiting their game to services like Gamepass cause not everyone is running to gamepass. These games are still sold on their own and will still be able pay for their development cost even if gamepass doesn't. Meaning the games still have to be released in a high quality state... If these games was Gamepass exclusive then it would be a different story.

Also Microsoft also make billions of dollar in profit unlike Netflix, so they can continuely crank out high quality games without taking a hit to profits.

Re: Warner Bros Allegedly Looking to Offload NetherRealm, TT Games

@Ear_wiG As much as I would like to see Sony buying NetherRealms... I don't think it gonna come cheap, and Sony aren't interested in big purchases. Warner Bro. just sold Playdemic, a mobile game developer, for $1.4 billion to EA... That studio have only ever made one game. NetherRealms is probably gonna cost a pretty penny.

Re: Warner Bros Allegedly Looking to Offload NetherRealm, TT Games

Floki

Not surprising... WarnerMedia/ATT need to make their money back after the continued failed attempts at making a streaming platform and the string of "okish" movies.

But of all the Studios that WB owns. I wouldn’t sell these two.

They also need to put Portkey Games to work and get them to start handing the Wizarding World license to studios who make actual games instead of studio who make trashy mobile games.

Re: PS5 'Comfortably' Console Market Leader in UK

Floki

A lead that is very undeserving. Even tho the only next generation console I own is a PS5. After everything that has happened over the last couple of months, and the fact that the PS5 was sold on the promises of ‘believing in generations’. Sony does not deserve this lead. They are a company that is right now living off their brand legacy and lies.
