Hot Wheels Unleashed is shaping up fairly nicely from where we're sitting. Developer Milestone is putting in a solid effort for this licensed racer based on the popular die-cast cars, and we're definitely interested to take it for a spin come 30th September. One aspect we've yet to see is the game's track editor, but today, the studio has shown it off in a new video.
Of course, part of the joy of Hot Wheels is building your own tracks, so it makes sense for the game to include that aspect. The editor you'll use in the game is the same one the developers used to make the official tracks, which is pretty cool. You first need to lay down a starting point for your circuit or point-to-point track, and then you can go nuts with all kinds of track pieces, obstacles, interactive elements, and more.
It looks like a pretty robust editor, and you just know the community will quickly make some ridiculous courses that'll really test your skill. Fortunately, every track has to be successfully driven from start to finish before being uploaded, so there shouldn't be any impossible nightmare hellscapes.
Anyway, are you excited for Hot Wheels Unleashed? Will you be building tracks with the game's editor? Rev your engines in the comments section below.
