@vapidwolf That would have been a terrible decision unless they delayed the game well past the release of Season 2. Not everyone who watches the anime plays the game... They would be pleasing only the small group of people who plays the games and watches the anime.

We really didn't need a Demon Slayer game this early. How do you make a proper game out of 1 season and a movie?

@Integrity Yeah. I'm a 20mbps DWN ADSL connection... I only get the full 20 DWN on a good day.

EDIT: Probably get anywhere from 15-18 DWN average connected directly to my router.

@Integrity As someone with slow download speeds. Not once has that download as you play been reliable... Most of the time getting to the required % of download takes 3+ hrs. Alot of game will only allow for you start the game and get to the title screen, but won't allow you to go any further until another huge chuck of download has been completed.

The few games that actual allow you to play while it downloads only get you access to like chapter 1, prologue, or 20 minutes of gameplay after I sat for 3+ hrs waiting.

@NEStalgia It called future proofing. Not future proofing is what lead us to getting the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X. It why both the Series X and PS5 support 8k, but there is barely any 8k content.

Consoles are supposed to last 8-10 years. Sure not many TV support it right now, but it will be standard on TVs in the future

Also, not everyone plays their console using a TV. A lot of people play on monitors, and VRR is basically standard now in the monitor space.

Xbox games aren't gonna sale well in terms of both the physical and digital front compared to Playstation. Everyone keeps bring up gamepass, but forgets that Microsoft also are just give Xbox versions of games away if you buy a PC copy, so if you own a PC and Xbox. You only have to buy 1 copy for both platforms, no double dipping. I'm pretty sure these free copies aren't counted in these sales charts.

@Bleachedsmiles I don't really think Spider-Man would be a good comparison to this. Characters like Spider-Man has had so many mainstream appearances over the years from TV, to video games, to action figures... etc. No one, unless your only knowledge of Spider-Man is Tom Holland. Is going play Spider-Man, and wish it looked like Tom Holland.

It much harder to look at characters like Guardians of Galaxy and not go "Hmm... I wish these was MCU versions". Since character had no mainstream appearance since the movie. Only avid comic books fans know about Guardians of Galaxy cause even the comic books sale pale in comparison to Spider-Man.

@nomither6 Most people aren't gonna spend $500 on any device/toy for their children in general. Most will just buy an used Xbox One and PS4 from gamestop and call it a day... Unless the parent is gamer as well, or just well off.

@MrSensical It a Spongebob game, so it gonna be aimed at children, so it make sense that it last gen only... No child has an Xbox Series X or PS5 yet unless they have rich parents. rofl.

@NEStalgia There could easily be a Yakuza announcement. The franchise has seen some type of release every year since 2005. They could easily announce a couple of remasters or next gen ports of older games for next year

Is there anyway to change the trophy list from vertical back to horizontal? I had no issue with the way it was before, and wish they gave both options.

I'm actually glad. October was already super packed for me with Guardians of the galaxy, Demon Slayer, Alan Wake, Far Cry 6, and House of the Ashes.

I only have Endwalker to look forward to in November.

@Arisen I could honestly see Demon's Souls releasing on the PC before bloodborne. Given that it running on a modern game engine, and was developed by more technical sound developers... The amount of work it would need to bring bloodborne up to modern day PC gamers standard wouldn't be worth the money.

@commentlife We already had MW 1 and 2 remastered. It would have made completed sense for a MW3 remaster... Most people would probably actually just prefer if Activision just remastered the old games if they remastered the Multiplayer as well.

I just hope they add a day and night circle instead of tieing it to missions.

Spider-Man have never been the globe trotting hero. That what the x-men, Avengers, fantastic 4... etc are for.

I can only see them adding Queens and Brooklyn cause both these borough are where Peter and Miles are from originally.

@Korgon Yeah... Marvel's Spider-Man sold well over like 20 million copies since 2018. Miles Morales sold like what... 4.1 Million in 3 days. It took Marvel's Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order 6 month to reach 1 million.

Wolverine will probably out sell both Marvel's Midnight Suns and Guardians of the Galaxy combined

@Korgon It probably wasn't hard to negotiate another Marvel property only on Playstation. Disney really only cares about money. The conversation probably went like:

Sony: "You like money, we like money, and Insomniac's games make money. Give us IP"

Disney: looks at the other recent failed attempt at licensed games from other developers "You got a point." hands over Wolverine "Go make us money"

@blah01 They added a bit of graphical polish. It looks a bit better than the PC version in some places... If you expecting a remake style upgrade in the graphic, this ain't it.

I can't get excited know the studio behind it. Asypr Media star wars ports haven't been greatest

I'm a marvel fan boy. More gameplay of Guardians of Galaxy, Marvel Spider-Man 2, Marvel Wolverine. 20/10 Will watch again.

@Flaming_Kaiser Like I said, if Sony/Microsoft kept the base $500, and focused solely on marketing that as the main option. While offering higher storage options as secondary option.

There would be no bad press since there is the option for people who don't want to spend crazy money.

If you want to talk about bad press. The current way Sony handled things created nothing but bad press with their SSD being smaller than Microsoft with no way to expand it. Due to them locking the expansion drive for almost a year. To only find out that an extremely slower drive than what Sony recommends works just as fine, and that we could have added more storage since launch.

But clearly the bad press from that isn't nearly as bad as if they created a $800 or $1000 PS5 SKUs with higher storage while still offering the $400 and $500 SKUs.

@Keyblade-Dan I was gonna say Xbox and PC players... But I remembered that this is exclusive to Playstation.

@Flaming_Kaiser It wouldn't have been accepted of it was the only model. They could have easily launched a "base" 824 GB PS5 and 1TB Xbox Series X. While offering a high storage model for people who has the money, and willing to spend.

Phones do this, cars do this, computers do this... Consoles also did this during the Xbox 360/PS3 era with the Xbox 360 "Core/Arcade" and Xbox 360 Pro and the PS3 20GB and 60GB models.

@Lando_ The hard drive is still extremely small, and the Xbox drive isn't any better. Both console storage isn't gonna last anyone who isn't mass deleting and downloading games, or some one who only buys games once a year...

Man o man if this is true. Can you imagine Empire City with ray tracing, or Cole's power using a newer particle effect system like seen in Second Son?

Sure 60FPS is nice... But when you still have a PC version of the games that improved much more, and still offer 60FPS. That kinda lazy... I would expect a basic 60FPS patch from EA or Activision.

Sony should have announced a proper next gen patch for HZD when they announcement of the delay of HFW

At least PC let's you do refunds on digital games after you download the game. Good luck getting a refund from Sony or Nintendo on the console front. This is the one thing PC gaming truly outshine consoles in is with their refund policy.

@RobN I wouldn't say Second Son is cartoony. It just isn't as dark/gritty which helped by the fact that Delsin isn't some dark, brooding, vengeful character like was Cole MacGrath.

InFamous 1 and 2 felt more like playing a DC film while Second Son felt more like a Disney Marvel film.

@KidBoruto Cole is dead... Since inFamous: Second Son follows the 'good' ending of infamous 2, and Sucker Punch doesn't do reincarnation... etc they said. So the only way we'll see Cole again if we get a remake/remaster of the first games, or retcon the ending infamous 2

I wish we could get a sequel to second son. It was by far my favorite exclusive of last generation. Unfortunately with the success of GoT. It probably be a while before they return to this franchise.

Currently replaying through PS5 enchanced version of Judgement. I don't know how any one plays these games in English... There is just a strangeness to English voice over.

Meh... Let them complain. The developer know that them complaining mean very little. This game will still end up selling well like every other game that people complained about before it.... (insert: pokemon, last of us 2, Cyberpunk, Call of Duty)

Nice. I started the game on my PC but was never able to finish due to poor performance at launch. Since my move back to consoles. I haven't had time to go back to it since I've been getting caught on other Playstation exclusives... Sound like a perfect time to finish the game.

@Mgene15 I'm guessing people who don't own a Playstation and are sick of Souls games...

So if they boosted the framerate. Did they also go in and fix the animations issues that cropped up due to the game running at a higher framerate?

If this is PS5 only. I'm interested in seeing what visual enhancement they are bring to this version, and how it'll compare to the PC release.
