Re: These Are the Franchises PS5, PS4 May Lose to Activision Blizzard Buyout

Floki

If Microsoft was willing to spend $70 billion on this. Think of how much they will be willing to spend on other studios and companies with actual useful IPs and games. The suits and investors of other companies are probably now opening up to the idea of selling. Zenimax is probably upset that they only managed to get $7 billion.

Even if Sony attempted to buy a major company. These companies will now probably be asking for more money than they are worth, and they will probably be calling up M$; and will be asking for a couple billion more than what Sony could ever afford.

Re: Microsoft Buys Call of Duty Publisher Activision Blizzard

Floki

We got Microsoft buying up gaming companies and we got Sony buying up anime companies. Both companies are doing the same thing.

EDIT: Square Enix is probably definitely on the purchasing block for Sony. They're a big gaming company and a big producer of Anime.

Re: Sony's Own First-Party Studios Championed PC Ports

@NEStalgia Hahaha... I had a surface pro, and it wireless and Bluetooth issues was why I actually got rid of it for the MacBook. I also just picked up a Zephyrus G14 and had some Bluetooth issues with my wireless buds, mouse and controller that was actually just straight up caused by a Microsoft driver issue. Was able to fix it by uninstalling the driver. Wasn't the receiver or the drivers for receiver. Just a Microsoft issue

Re: Sony's Own First-Party Studios Championed PC Ports

Floki

@NEStalgia Yeah... That sound like you had a trash bluetooth receiver which is unfortunately common in most pre build system, or just low end motherboards. I used services like xCloud, PS Now, and GeForce for 99% of my gaming now on my M1 MacBook, and never had any particular issues stemming from input latency due to bluetooth.

Re: God of War PC Nearing 75,000 Concurrent Players on Steam

Floki

@Shinnok789 As a PC gamer I hope that Sony never adds any sort of DRM like Denuvo. Even with Denuvo games will still be cracked. All you're doing is harming the people that purchased and supported the company day 1 with bad performance. That does far harm more than the people who pirate the game. As now you just turned people off buying period or push more people to pirate the game.

Re: No Plans for Ubisoft+ on PS5, PS4 At This Time, Rainbow Six Extraction Full-Price on PlayStation

Floki

@Dezzy70 2022 will probably see a lot many game from Xbox other than just Starfield. Forza Motorsport 8 is probably a given. There are games that been in development for a few years like Everwild and State of Decay 3. Redfall is set for Summer 2022 release. There also of maybe Gears 6 or Hellblade but I'm not holding my breath for these 2...

I would love for Xbox to come out on stage and give us 2022 release date for Perfect Dark, Fable, and Avowed, as well as the Indiana Jones game tho.

Re: Tencent Buys Back 4 Blood Developer Turtle Rock Studios

Floki

@UltimateOtaku91 If you was a Sony fan. You wouldn't care. Cause even if it became an "Xbox Exclusive" you could still easily play it on PC, or on TVs, Android device, iOS devices, MacOS devices, Linux devices through xCloud.

Only fanboys have the kind of mindset that can excuse Tencent buying a company as along as game are released on Playstation.

Re: Marvel MMO in Development at DC Universe Online Team

Floki

@Phostachio Unfortunately the trust system isn't available until Shadow Bringers, so you still have to go through ARR, HW, and SB using the duty finder... Unless you grind a character up to level 80, and max the gear. At that point, basically the entire game can more or less be solo minus the ARR raid dungeons.

Re: Marvel MMO in Development at DC Universe Online Team

@nessisonett I wouldn't say that FFXIV doesn't specifically cater to whale. Most if not all of the big 4 seater mounts are only on mog station and those are $30+. Want that cute dote emote... mog station. Want any of the past event items that you missed... mog station. Want to change your character appearance beside basics... mog station.

Sure you can play ffxiv from start to finish without paying a penny, but if you plan on playing that game long term, and want to get really involved in the community as well. Prepare to spend some money eventually.

Re: Gran Turismo 7's Tracks Achieve Tangible Realism on PS5, PS4

Floki

@Yaycandy Yeah. The Metacritic score for FM5 was a 79 with a user score of 6.0. GT6 was a 81 with a user score of 8.0... FM5 was definitely a weak point for the franchise. The blame for that could be due to not enough time since they was launching at the time of the Xbox One release. The recent ones have all reviewed better.

Re: Gran Turismo 7's Tracks Achieve Tangible Realism on PS5, PS4

@tinCAT-zero I wouldn’t they haven't done any different. They've changed the way in term of how the festival is handled and presented. Bring in more of story line with characters, cutscenes... etc. Your character now isn't some no face new racer. It imports a bit of your character information from the FH4, and presents this game as true sequel to FH4. Making references to your character time in the UK. Unlike past games where FH1-3 was stand-alone, and your racer was different from the last game.

Re: Sony Uploads PS4 Trailer for Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Approaches 1 Million Views

Floki

It nice that Sony finally remembered that this game released on PS4. The marketing last year for this game was trash. In the sense that it was only really marketed as a PS5 game, not a PS4 and PS5 game. Every trailer and tv trailer shown was always captured on PS5 and had a massive PS5 advert at the end.... with a tiny * that whispered 'Also on PS4'.

Gotta please all those sad children who didn't get to play miles morales last year. Due to their parents thinking that they need to buy a PS5 in order to get the game cause there was never any actual ads for PS4 version.

Re: Rumour: Sackboy: A Big Adventure Is Making the Jump to PC

Floki

@wiiware Yes. And that power will never help it sell 90 million+ units like the Switch. The system is completely out of price range for most consumers.

Valve could never release a box that can compete with Sony and Microsoft in the price range that the Series X and PS5 offers.

Re: Rumour: Sackboy: A Big Adventure Is Making the Jump to PC

Floki

@Trajan What!?!? Even if we don't take in consideration load times... etc. Literally one off the games they tested, Jedi Fallen Order, takes up basically almost the entire internal storage of the 64GB by it self... Good luck trying to put CoD on that.

This isn't like the Switch where it'll get it own downsized ports to fit the hardware, or have physical cartridges to bypass the storage limitations. Unless you're gonna play indies non stop. You'll be buying a decent sized micro SD day 1.

Also this is PC not PS5... So game sizes aren't getting smaller.

Re: Rumour: Sackboy: A Big Adventure Is Making the Jump to PC

Floki

@wiiware Valve can't even get the handheld steam deck in actual competing price range with the Switch. It $200 more than a switch lite, $100 more than a Switch and $50 more than the OLED. That just for the terrible base model... if you want a decent steam deck you're looking at $530-600 basically the price of the next gen console.

If Valve made a tv only steam deck. It'll will definitely be way out of the majority of console gamers price range, so Sony and Microsoft had nothing to worry about.

Re: NFL QB Tom Brady Is Still MVP in Battlefield 2042

Floki

@Golem25 Battlefield is finally embracing how their player play the game... No body on this God green earth plays Battlefield like a serious military shooter. Just look at the any game play footage online or highlight reel... All you ever see is people running around like it CoD, and doing exactly what you see in the trailer.

Re: Dying Light Receiving a PS5 Patch in the Future

Floki

At this point. There is no way the sequel is gonna live up to the original Dying Light, and the developers know it... They will continue to milk the success of this game dry, to off set the possibility of the sequel of not live up to success of the first game.
