Re: Riders Republic Is a Big Deal in PS5, PS4 Customisation Trailer

Floki

From the bit I've seen. The game looks visually rough... It really is time to put the Xbox One ( Microsoft should have dumped it back in 2016) and PS4 out to pasture.

The gameplay it self looks okay if you enjoy playing other extreme sports games... It weird that they have mountain bike, but not dirt bikes, but okay i guess.

Re: Poll: Did You Buy Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut?

Floki

@NEStalgia Well they did rise the checkboard resolution, so it no 4k instead of 1800p. They also now have all the pre-rendered cutscene in game, but they also not limited all the cutscenes to 30FPS vs the BC version had some of the cutscenes run at 60FPS

Re: Development Takes Off on a New Ace Combat Game

Floki

I'm hoping they release a PS5 patch for this games. I didn't get the chance to play it due to not having anything good enough to play it on at the time... I may still grab it, but it gonna be hard to settle for 1080P...

Re: Call of Duty: Vanguard Announced, Full Reveal This Thursday

Floki

@nomither6 A lot of people will complain. We got nothing but complaining when we got nothing but modern era when we had Battlefield, Medal of Honor, and Call of Duty all doing the same Era shooters. That what lead to us to getting futuristic shooter, but people got bored of that, and wanted 'Boots on the ground' WW2, BF1, and BF5 style games. Now they got bored of that and we're now back to Modern/Futuristic shooter like MW2019 and BF 2042.

The only reason why you don't hear no one talking about world war CODs cause most of the CoD fan base wasn't old enough to play them or was not born at the time.

Most of the people who have played those games and have enjoyed them have probably been done with the franchise 5 games ago, or more or less keep quiet.

It better to break it up instead of the doing the same stuff back to back especially when you have 3 different studios developing the games from the same franchise.

Re: Call of Duty: Vanguard Announced, Full Reveal This Thursday

Floki

@nomither6 I'm assuming they want to balance it out.... 1 studio doing modern/semi-futuristic era ( Infinity Ward ), 2nd studio doing Cold War/Vietnam Era ( Treyarch ), and a 3rd studio doing WW Era ( Sledgehammer ).

EDIT: If they didn't do a WW era games then we may end up with settings way too similar back to back with next year title most liking being Modern Warfare 2 (2022) an Infinity Ward developed game.

Re: Rumour: Sony Planning More Expensive PS Plus Option That Could Include Crunchyroll

Floki

You figured that people would not be opposing of this given Playstation history of being the platform for weebs and anime watcher given the long standing release of Japanese and Anime games. So it would be expected that a major portion of Playstation fanbase would benefit from it...

But from the sound of the comments... That probably isn't the case anymore.

Re: Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice Next-Gen Upgrade Skipping PS5

Floki

@render I couldn't find anything online about it being a native title, only that it just performed better.

GamingFan4Lyf actually advised that on the Xbox Series consoles that it in fact shows as a native title, and not just an enchanced BC version.

So yeah, PS5 owners (myself included) is getting the short end of the stick with being limited to PS4 Pro version of the game.

Probably won't be picking up the game at ALL on any platform now.

Re: Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice Next-Gen Upgrade Skipping PS5

Floki

@GamingFan4Lyf Interesting. I couldn't find any information anywhere on it being a native Xbox Series X|S game or not.

I figured it was just another case of Xbox BC being superior, so they was able to bring improvements without creating a native port unlike PS5 requires native ports.

Re: Rumour: Sony Targeting AAA Titles for Stunning Next-Gen PS5 VR Headset

Floki

@Wavey84 It the age old Price vs Performance when it comes to choosing OLED vs LCD. Most people wouldn't noticed the difference in color, but they are most likely to noticed the different in resolution. It why all major VR headset are dropping OLED for LCD... It probably why easier to source a high resolution/ high refresh rate LCD vs OLED. If Sony is going OLED is cause of the lower resolution, refresh, and FOV on the PSVR2 compared to one found in modern VR headsets, so they are able to put OLED in the device but keep the price low.

The Vive Pro isn't using the same OG Vive wands actually... So yeah.

"the headset is dependent on using 2 tracking cubes which you have to be mounted on your walls, unless i'm mistaken. Not worth the $$$ in my eyes."

As someone who owns a Vive, Vive Pro and Pro 2, and a Index. The way the tracking is handled is definitely worth the money if you want to get into real, enthusiast grade VR with full body tracking and works. Which is something unfortunately Sony won't fully be able to accomplish due to them have to please the mass market by staying within a lower price bracket.

But I don't see them doing wireless. Wireless VR is still in early stages on PC.

Re: Rumour: Sony Targeting AAA Titles for Stunning Next-Gen PS5 VR Headset

Floki

@Wavey84 The PSVR2 will definitely not be 3k per eye or even 130 FOV. Not even the beefist of PC are able to fully power the Vive Pro 2 at a decent framerate that wouldn't give people motion sickness.

The PS5 performance at best is equivalent to modern mid range. At best we can hope they can match the OG vive or at least the Vive Pro.

On top of that... Sony will try and hit a $400-500 price tag for a full kit. The Vive Pro 2 is a $800 headset on it own.

Re: Seagate FireCuda 530 Is the First Third-Party SSD Compatible with PS5

Floki

@TheDudeElDuderino Why buy R8 v10 for $150K when you can pick up GT500 for $70k with almost 200 more HP, is a better track car, and it a more practical daily... If I was gonna spend R8 money. I would probably spend a bit more and just grab Porsche 911 Turbo S.

As for the Bugatti Chiron... No car is worth $3 million.

Re: Seagate FireCuda 530 Is the First Third-Party SSD Compatible with PS5

Floki

I'm sorry, but the way Microsoft handled expandable storage is 100% better than Sony's. Upgrading storage is definitely a step back from the PS4.

Sure Sony's solution is great for techies, but as someone who has worked in tech support... People are god damn stupid.

The average person buying the PS5 will definitely had difficult switching out the drive as just removing the covers to the PS5 is a pain in the butt cause you have to man handle them to get them off.
