@Perturbator Comparing Steam chart for games have to be one of the most annoying thing ever... Steam doesn't account for every platform you can purchase the games on. MH Wilds can only be purchased on Steam where stuff like KCD and AC: Shadows are on Epic, or Ubisoft's own platform. PC game keys is a big market, and unfortunately... If you want to save money on Assassin Creed Shadows. You're stuck purchasing a Ubisoft Connect key vs a steam key
@PHXNTXM I do thoroughly wash my hands, but I can’t stop and wash my hands every minute Im playing. It mid summer in US, I live in the south, in a room facing the sun 90% of the days, and get sweaty hands while playing. Humans shed a lot of dead skin during the day that will build up on the controller. I also like to stop and pet my 2 cats who are occasionally cover in red clay soil that is found in my region.
@MaikonCSGarcia Yet Activision is talking about bring back toys to life after the purchase which is a larger investment than porting some old games to newer hardware.
@Rafie I don’t think you can count PuBG as the only reason it was “exclusive” was due MS allowing early access games on the platform and Sony did not. PuBG came to PS4 during it full release less than 4 month later.
@RedRiot193 Outside of Nathan relationship with his wife and sully, and a couple of nods in his attic. There is nothing in that game that requires you to have experience the other games. I had no issues just into 4 with no prior experience of playing the other 3 at all.
@RedRiot193 You really don't have to play the other 3 games to understand what going on in this game... Just like you didn't have to play God of war 1-3 to know what's happening in God of War 2018.
@Would_you_kindly And those gods generally agree to stay of conflicts created by mortal man. A lot of them disapprove of Thor involvement with the humans.
@Would_you_kindly Cause in actual Marvel Comic the Black Panther being either T'Chaka and Azzuri assist Cap during the war which is how he actually got his vibranium circle shield.
@WadeIsInsane No name behind meaning it not apart of a long ruining franchise or known IP. Not that it was created by no name people. And no, if you ask any JRPG fan on Xbox they aren't gonna recommend it cause I've spoken to plenty of JRPG fan on Xbox that never played it. I've personally have never played it and the 360 was my platform of choice but I've played mistwalker other games blue dragon (mainly due to the anime), Terra Battle, and Fantasian.
I guess if you ask anybody on the internet then sure.
Who cares about the IP if you don't have the developers that developed them. Halo has been a complete mess since Bungie left. Spyro and Crash have been not the same since naughty dog or Insomniac. That why it hurts far more losing Bungie to Sony vs losing spyro or Crash to Microsoft.
While Bungie has said that they're stay multiplatform that doesn't guarantee Xbox. Multiplatform can easily just mean PS and PC. Just like we can't guarantee the same with Xbox's current deals after 2024.
@WadeIsInsane the average Xbox gamer isn't enthused with the generic low budget niche JRPG that japanese developers fill the market with every year. They want the big budget fancy stuff: mainline Final Fantasy, Kingdom heart, Persona... etc. A lot of JRPG during that Xbox 360 era wasn't that.
Lost Odyssey for example had no name behind it. It required you to already be interested in JRPG in general, and wasn't particularly novice friendly. Even then I doubt many JRPG fans on 360 bothered to touch it as most people tend to stick to the IPs they know, and not new IPs.
@UltimateOtaku91 I'm sure Xbox gamer would gladly trade medium, Stalker 2, Ark 2, the gunk, Tunic, The ascent, scorn and crossfire X for FF7.
People get upset cause Sony have a tendency to go for big title when it comes to exclusive, and they like long exclusive periods with no guarantee of the game ever showing up on other platforms.
When Microsoft has a timed exclusive you can guarantee it'll come to other platforms in 2-3 months. Also a lot of those games are part of the ID@xbox program, so some exclusive time is required due to the developers applying and receiving some help from Microsoft. They didn't go out and buy the exclusivity.
It great to see at least 1 company is holding strong with custom in-house technology. With everything moving to 3rd party engines, specifically UE, we don't really get to see much variation in the technology used by games anymore.
@Th3solution While Fortnite still have they Battle royale Fortnite is basically slowly transitioning from a BR to a 'metaverse' game; which basically what game like PS Home where. Before Facebook came along, coined the term, and ruined it. So that where all this extra stuff comes now.
Hopefully you're taking notes, Sony, cause this is how you do a live services/gaas/ whatever these kids call it nowadays games. Please don't give us Halo Infinite levels of trash.
@Balosi That is only true if you stick to the usual store fronts (Steam, Epic, Uplay.... etc). The PC is just simply unmatch when you can go to site like Greemmangaming and buy just about all major releases for less than their console price, and less than the Steam price. I was able to get games like Ghostwire Tokyo and Lego Star Wars: Skywalker Saga deluxe edition for like $45 at release. Games that costed $60 and $70 on Playstation at release.
@dasd2 Man... I would absolutely love for the PSVR to be officially PC compatible. The PC VR market needs some new competition. It grown massively stale at this point.
Looks cool! I'm excited and will probably pick it up day one (I'm a big fan of sonic). But man, Sonic looks so out of place in the world. If they wanted to go this style with the world. Maybe they could have made Sonic look similar to his movie version, and give him a nice fur shader.
@UltimateOtaku91 Netflix has released at least released one console game before. Stranger Thing 3: The Game. Like @awp69 said, they bought Night School Studio which is planning on releasing Oxenfree 2 this year, so we could probably get another trailer for that.
@GADG3Tx87 Nintendo buying Sega would cripple half of sega game output. Lmao. Sega has a big presence on PC with Total War, Warhammer, Endless, and Company of Heros. At that point, RIP Creative Assembly, Amplitude, and Relic

@mucc Un... Yes. It no different than you plugging your PS5 into a 1080P/60FPS tv. Your PS5 isn't suddenly gonna start playing the last gen version of a game just cause it plugged into a 1080P TV.
@MarcG420 No. The Series S still offer a next gen feature set. It may be lower resolution than a Series X, but it not a complete slouch, and still a significant step up from PS4 and Xbox One.
@MarcG420 Whether or not the games are running the Series S version of games vs X is questionable. But generally the X version of games arent massive night and difference of the S versions.
The thing is that Gamepass/xCloud is allowing you to play a next gen version of the game while Sony isn't.
@get2sammyb They already finished the upgrade to Series X blades.
@MarcG420 Flight Simulator is exclusive to the Series consoles and is playable through xCloud. Also games like FH5 allows you to switch between graphics options which where only available on Series consoles.
@Nem I also play it, and been playing since the original closed beta. But the support isn't that bad. Lol. Sure it isn't seeing massive support. But it a 10 plus year old game, and it support isn't nearly as bad as many other mmo that reach this life span.

@Nem Also what do you mean those games don't matter matter from a Sony PoV. SWTOR is a live service game... Sims with endless amount of digital content updates could easily be considered a live services game. Sony/Playstation is trying to break into the live service market.
Last year Jim Ryan was want to explore the mobile market more. This year Sony Group CFO Hiroki Totoki has stated that the company plans to release mobile games using PlayStation IPs. Popcap is a successful mobile game developer.
@Nem The game just saw a new expansion this year. Most MMOs don't make it to 10 years. If it wasn't doing well. I doubt Bioware Austin and the game would still be a thing if it wasn't doing well.
@Nem While bioware may be ruin in your eye. They still being massive massive income through The Old Republic. They also have Popcap with Plants vs Zombies and Bejeweled. Sim still brings in a ton of cash... etc
@NomNom I doubt Disney would really want to return to the gaming industry. Especially after Epic Mickey 2 and Disney infinity. They want all the benefits and none of the hardship. Which is why they started licensing out and stopped being a publisher.

@UltimateOtaku91 Fortnite definitely isn't the one to blame for this. There was tons of live service games before "Fortnite". As the "Fortnite" we got was a last ditch effort to save a failed ip so Epic jumped on BR live service train that had already left the station.

Again people are using Halo infinite as a reason for Game Pass issues. Halo Infinite was gonna have major issues regardless of it launching on Game Pass or not. 343i is just generally incapable of releasing games without major issues.
Microsoft just needs to revitalized 343i as the licenser of all Halo-related properties only, and not have them develop anything.
@nomither6 Halo 4 campaign was fantastic. The multiplayer was straight garbage tho.

Halo is about the full package. You can't have a good campaign and terrible multiplayer; or good multiplayer and terrible campaign. They have to be balanced, and Infinite is the most balanced even if it mediocre.
Unfortunately infinite biggest issue with it campaign is that all the cool stuff happens off screen in a comic book. Lmao.
