@Would_you_kindly The lowest PC specs developers will probably aim for is a 1080 and an old i7. The bare minimum an 1060 and an old i5. These are still a significant step up from the a PS4 and Xbox One, and won't hold back game designed for SeriesX/PS5 due to better CPU performance.
@ATaco Local coop is more or less dead for modern games due to online and the fact it requires double the console power. Unless you wanna make massive graphical and performance downgrades.
@KundaliniRising333 You're not crazy. I recently just replayed through the game again on a highish end PC (3070ti and a 12700k) connected to a decent 1440P monitor (Samsung Odyssey G7). The game in general just has a very grainy filmic look to it due to it heavy post-process anti-aliasing and film grain filter
@GorosBat Technically none of the characters in the DLC are actually apart of the Skywalker Saga aka Episode 1-9 as that what the game covers, not any of the spin offs.
@bindiana They have released/re-released a ton of games. They mostly own A and AA developers, nothing they gonna release is exactly gonna set the world on fire. But they own Aspyr which is the studio working on the knight of the old republic remake.
@jdv95 Also square enix didn't own the studios that worked on these IPs, so they probably couldn't just sell them with involving the original studios in the sales process. As I'm sure People Can Fly, Avalanche, and Dontnod would perfer the rights of these IP to revert back to them if Square Enix was just gonna sell them.
I love how no one has come knocking on Embracer Group's door. They've purchased like hundreds of studios and multiple publishers over last couple of years. They now own like 271 IPs and franchises. In term of just size, and not profit... They're one of the biggest companies in the industry.
But I guess nobody care when you're mainly buying A and AA developers.
@GADG3Tx87 The thing about Amazon is that they already don't have a good track record of being a publisher. They've had way too many just straight flops since entering the game industry back in '12. Plus plenty of developers have came out and stated "Amazon is not a great place to make games".
Can't wait. FF16, Ratchet and Clank, and God of War Ragnarok are what sold me on a PS5 this generation, but I'll probably end up grabbing this for PC cause Sony has done nothing but sour my taste for their platform over the last year.
@Apfelschteiner No next gen games? There Flight Simulator and The Medium. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl was originally supposed to be release April 28 but have been delayed. There are quite few next gen games.
@Apfelschteiner Unfortunately I can only speak on prices of consoles around where I live, but buying a second hand Xbone would definitely not be better value than a Series S. At $300, you literally can't beat the value of Series S even if you're looking at used systems. A used fat Xbone still goes for $200. A used Xbone S goes for roughly $300, and a used Xbone X goes for roughly for $400. The Series S performs the One S while offering the ability to play next gen games unlike thr One X due to cpu limitations.
@colt3211 If Microsoft put in a huge purchase of chips. The real question is how many of those are actually going in consoles and not data centers for xCloud.
@Ken_Kaniff They are a one trick pony. Everything they made other than Borderlands in last 10+ years have been straight trash. Anyone up for some Aliens: Colonial Marines? Honestly, I don't know how they're still around...
The Dualsense is definitely my go to pad for PC now. I hate to say it, but the Xbox controllers are terrible now. Rofl. Almost all major games support the controller natively and have matching prompts, and since haptic works on PC. The Dualsense is definitely the way to go for a next-gen pc gaming experience.
@OmegaStriver I say we're pretty far from the edge of Star Wars over saturation. We've gotten far less games now than we had back in the 90s and early 2000s
@uptownsoul That strange when Sony had no issues publishing Everybody's Gone to the Rapture and HellDrivers. They even published Predator: Hunting Grounds for PC. Them pushing off the publishing to someone else kinda back up that rumor of them not being to happy with the overall sale of the game, so they was quick to wipe their hands of it.
@Grimwood Phones haven't been tiny since pre 2015. Most phone screens are also bigger than the switch which has sold like 100 millions. On top of phones offering vastly better displays than most people TVs.
@uptownsoul I can't speak remember anything from 2015. As the only thing I remember from then is that it was originally announced for PC at the original announcement. So I always figured that Sony just owned right to the console version, and not the entire IP.
@uptownsoul Do Sony own the Death Stranding IP? Cause that would be strange if they owned the rights, but 505 Games handles PC publishing when Sony has a publishing label for PC.
I wish I could at least attempt a playthrough, but food themed animals and bugz give me nightmares, so I can't even watch a trailer without getting freaked out. >.<
@MFTWrecks You said that, but we also in a world where stuff was name "The Black Death", "The Great War"... Etc. So to say that someone wouldn't name something "The Calamity" is far from the truth.
@CWill97 The hub world thing would be cool, but will Disney allow that? They're kinda a pain in the butt to deal which Is why people was making theories that SE was gonna dump the Disney side of Kingdom hearts.
I'm glad they are adding this as an option. I'm someone who loves these game, but they're a bit too 'spooky' for my taste so I never end up finishing them. I also don't like watching other people play through a game, so just watching a video without commentary is a no go. Plus these games are normally super well made so I don't mind paying the price for it.
@BeerIsAwesome I would say impossible unless Sony is willing to throw some massive weight behind the purchase, and is possibly willing to go toe to toe with chinese Microsoft.
@arra1213 Ah yes, cause scores and sales numbers determined whether or not a game is good.
Even tho Hellblade won how many awards for audio design, best performance, and artist awards?
Again with the review score, public opinion easily would put New Vegas above any of the other games.
Also guess what? Neither of the Spider-Man games have score 90+ but those have all out beats any of Sony's 90+ games. Insomniac also haven't had a 90+ games since Up your Arsenal. So I guess I shouldn't be excited for Spider-Man 2 cause the original one didn't get a 90. Even tho I enjoyed and platinum both games.
EDIT: That mentality is exactly why Sony closed Japan Studio. Games can't just be enjoyable or just good anymore. They have to get 90s or sale billion copies.
@Flaming_Kaiser Okay? And? I never said GT7 wasn't a great game. It a great game ruined by stupid business decisions. Same as Halo Infinite, great game ruined by stupid business decisions.
@Reeneman What? That not even close, and really just sounds like the opinion of someone who hasn't played the game or knows very little, or only know Halo based off the games. While it is unfortunately missing features like co-op and Forge, and a few game modes. It is tightest feeling Halo game to date, ruin by Microtransactions same as GT7.
If the 343 had released the game with enough game modes, and without the large amount of Microtransactions. It could have easily gone down as the Best Halo game.
@Reeneman They just release Hellblade 1 to massive praise. If they can just deliver the same game with a bigger budget. Cool! There is a lot of things to not get excited about. Even if it still just more of the same, it still a quality game.
While Halo Infinite has problems. There is still a good game under all the problem. That like completely writing off GT7 cause of the recent issues. 343 just needs to get their heads out of their butt.
Flight Sim was never for Xbox gamers anyway, it for PC-Xbox gamers, and plenty are enjoying it especially if you have a VR setup.
@Reeneman We also know the most recent games of studios behind the named games... That literally no
different.
EDIT: Avowed is being made by Obsidian Entertainment creator of Pillars of Eternity and arguably the best Fallout game. It is probably just gonna be Elder Scrolls in Pillars of Eternity universe, so it gonna be good. They are also made the The Outer Worlds which was fantastic, and the outer worlds 2 will probably be the goofy younger brother of Starfield. Fable is being handled by Playground, so which have generally never released a bad game. FM8 is gonna be more Forza which is never bad. The only questionable game I named is Everwild which is being handled by Rare, but I have enjoyed every Rare game.
@Ken_Kaniff If Micrsoft couldn't buy Nintendo when they were at their weakest point. Do you really think that Sony could buy them at their strongest point?
I would probably scratch Fromsoftware off the list as they are owned by Kadokawa. That would probably mean Sony would have to buy them, but too many big companies like Tencent owns a stake in that company. Does Sony have the capital to fight Tencent
@Reeneman We know very little about Spider-Man 2 and Wolverine. That doesn't stop mine or other people excitement about them. As long as they exist that enough for me.
@Reeneman Idk... I'm super excited for Avowed, Hellblade 2, FM8, the outer worlds 2, Everwild, and Fable. That more than what I'm interested in from Sony. As the only thing I care about from them is the Spider-Man 2 and Wolverine unless they announce a new Gravity Rush, Freedom Wars, or Ratchet and Clank
@Richnj Yeah, that is true, but there is nothing of value in a konami purchase no matter how cheap it is. You have to look at the fully picture. No good studios, technology, and the IPs haven't been relevant in years.
Even with how messed up the development side of Bethy and Acti is. Microsoft was still getting a lot of stuff out of the purchase... Be it technology like iD tech, or the streaming tech Orion, or the engine that powers Call of Duty. There was something of real note value.
Just look at Sony past purchases over the last year. Bungie and Nixxes. These studios offered expertise in either managing online games, or porting games to PC. They boosted the Sony studio by offering something of actual value.
Well, this hurt... E3 was my Christmas every year since the moment I was able to hold a controller. It was one thing my parents fully supported me in enjoying and allow me to stay home from school and order pizza during the week it took place, so that I could watch all the news and gameplay stuff. Even now I schedule vacation time off from work for it and watch it with friends on discord. RIP E3
@4kgk2 Xbox fanboys can still say wait till "E3" as Microsoft alone have enough studios, publishers, 3rd party content, and money to hold their own E3 every year.

I hope Sony buys Square Enix. Maybe then they can force them to fix their broken PC games, and release FF7 Remake and KH1-3 on steam.
