How about they and others start releasing games at a higher standard with minimum work needed post launch. Too many games are released in such a sorry state. We as consumers are partly to blame as we have carried on buying into these broken messes over and over again, while they’re still taking your money, they’ll keep doing it. The best way is to vote with your wallet. When will people learn.
@Toypop I loved The Order 1886 and I’m gutted we’ll probably never get a sequel. It set the foundation for something that could have even better.
Same with Ryse on the Xbox. Another game I loved playing through. Both these games got mediocre reviews and dunked on at the time but looking back people are still fond of them.
They’re coming wether we want them or not and these big company’s are gonna make a fortune from them.
It’s worrying seeing people here either not bothered by them or saying they’re a good thing. I think you need to educate yourself. Yes NFT’s can benefit someone, you can make money but it’s much like gambling, only the minority end up winning big. You’re buying into a dream that in most cases will not come true.
The future is grim with NFT’s, if you think microtransactions are bad (and they are) then you’ve not seen anything yet. Us as consumers are going to be exploited and preyed upon even more so, and even if you don’t buy into NFT’s we’ll suffer as gamers as games start to be designed with them in mind.
@UltimateOtaku91 luckily graphics and story isn’t everything, Halo Infinites gameplay is WAY more fun than Days Gone imo. I can see why it got the higher score.
@Col_McCafferty I don’t mind the direction taken, it was different and that’s to be respected. But what we got was a mess of a plot with bad writing that went on for way too long imo. Gameplay was okay, hardly different from the first.
@JJ2 Eurogamer are an absolute joke I stopped reading them ages ago after a Yakuza review said similar things. I hope push square never go in that garbage direction.
I thought Days Gone was alright, kinda generic but it was enjoyable. I remember at launch reading it had sold very well so was surprised later on when Sony said it was a disappointment. That’s something EA or Ubisoft come out with when their games sell millions of copies.
Anyway i wouldn’t say I want a sequel but can I have a sequel to The Order 1886 please
Virtue signal while being in bed with the CCP, Sony are just the same as any other big corporation here in the west. They go where the money is and nothing else matters.
I don’t know about anybody else but I don’t understand how anyone can be excited about skill trees in a game like Horizon. They’re literally in nearly every other game out there it’s off putting if anything. So dull.
I was enjoying it until my save corrupted and deleted all my progress after I had to leave it in rest mode because of a ridiculous save system. Traded it in after that.
@Medic_Alert depends where you are I guess. I paid £43 including shipping for the Dark Plates when they were first announced before. They’re a nice quality with their own little take on the Sony shapes imprinted. Sure you can get cheaper but sometimes it nice to pay for just that little extra.
Interested to see how the official ones will be priced in the UK.
@Col_McCafferty have you not figured it out yet? Sony don’t care about ‘loyalists’ just your $$$$. If they cared they’d not port these games to PC or raise the price of exclusives but here we are.
Get ready for NFT pink goggles 1000 hour playtime limited edition super rare Ubisoft edition splinter cell open world goggles exclusive to you. Or something.
@reek companies can explore, experiment and try new things without trying to exploit their consumers, which is what NFT’s are. These companies should should focus on releasing their full priced games in a reasonable state and without needing multiple patches a year on from release before trying to fleece their players more than they already are. The industry is a joke and people like me are rightfully angry about this *****.
@UltimateOtaku91 in theory yes. In reality only a small number of people make any profit. Much like gambling. I just read that a recent study showed that 90% of NFT transactions are done by a small group of people.
@BAMozzy if a smaller Dev like 4A can offer an upgrade for free, a substantial one too with fully Ray traced lighting, upgraded textures and 60fps gameplay for Metro Exodus then I see no reason why Naughty Dog and Sony can’t. At this point they must be laughing with it being so easy to take money from their loyal worshippers.
@Medic_Alert excellent point, which is why physical should still matter, more choice at the end of the day.
Also I’m sad to see a lot of people here (mostly in the other article) are happy with a $10 upgrade path. I still believe if you own the game it should be free just like with Metro Exodus and multiple other titles. PlayStation fans are getting rinsed and they seem to love it.
@UltimateOtaku91 I’ve only downloaded a few games on PS5 this year I’ve found the offerings very lacking. Everyone’s different someone might think it’s been the best ever year for PS+ offerings idk. I did enjoy playing Control and A Plague Tale again thanks to +.
PS+ has been pretty bad for the first year of the PS5 and PSnow is awful so I don’t see how just chucking the 2 together is any different apart from what they’re going to charge.
@Camlambelot don’t know if anyone answered but better than lords of the fallen yes, easily. Better than the surge, no. I love the surge though, especially 2.

Re: Days Gone Director Pitched an Open World Resistance Game
Used to love Resistance it was a solid fun shooter. I must admit though they made me feel more sick playing them than any other FPS ever has 🤣

@Camlambelot when one side riots it’s a protest, when the other does it’s an ‘insurrection’.
Re: Poll: What PlayStation Game Are You Most Looking Forward to in January 2022?
Battle Brothers is so good. One of the best turn based games in years. Please don’t ignore it if you like the genre.

@lolwhatno the need is simple my friend. Money.
There’s no other reason for it existing.
Re: Days Gone Also Sold Over 8 Million Copies on PS4, Claims Director
@Serialsid probably a man with blue hair and a degree in sociology 🤣
Re: Rumour: The Last of Us Remake Almost Complete, Out This Year
Nah not interested. I’ve played the original on PS3 and PS4 that’s enough. TLOU2 was garbage so sadly I’ve lost interest in the franchise.

I’m still not interested. Until they make it super comfortable and affordable it’s not something I’ll buy into just for a few games.

@mucc they literally all do the same 🤣 you think Tencent and Sony money comes just from the gaming sector.

@Royalblues I’d rather have one of the big 3 (Nintendo, Sony, MS) buy anyone over the likes of Tencent, Amazon or Google.

This looks like my type of game. Not sure on the price at this point seems a little high. Need to know how long it’s gonna be etc first I think.

Wahlberg looks more like Nathan Drake than Holland 🤣 I just can’t take Holland as 14 year old Drake seriously.
