Re: Elden Ring Nightreign Has No PS5 Pro Improvements At All

DonJorginho

From Soft are incredible creatives with ass polishing work rate, their games all run like muck and they lack the most simple of features like ONLINE CHAT in a multiplayer title.

Sadly they’ll continue to be let off for these things, but Nightreign is quite an ugly looking title in some ways so the pro wouldn’t have improved things much aside from maybe a cleaner image with PSSR.

Re: Assassin's Creed Shadows Update 1.0.5 Out Tomorrow, Full Patch Notes Revealed

DonJorginho

@gamer153 so many lies in one post lmao, games would still release being bugged, there were no such thing as patches so a lot of games were physically recalled and then reshipped once issues were fixed, there were no autosaves, manual saving was done via insane 25 character codes, insane amounts of soft locking, and more slop in the market than ever before.

You can criticise what you don’t like about today’s era of gaming, which there is a lot to dislike, without painting a false picture of the past to solely suit your stance.

Re: PlayStation Stars Rewards Program Shutting Down, Sony Confirms

DonJorginho

Sony this generation seem to be allergic to taking any Ws, what a disappointment this has been so far, yet another anti consumer choice that’s most likely on the eve before raising game prices, they probably realised they’d give more points than they wanted with £80 digital games and didn’t want to lose out on the profits, laughable to the core.

If it wasn’t for DS2, Ghost of Yotei and Intergalactic as well as my existing game library I’d probably have fully emigrated to PC this gen after great experiences with the Steam Deck, too many clanger own goals from Sony, need to get their act together and go back to what made the PS4 generation such a home run.

Re: Beloved Ex-PlayStation Boss Believes $70, $80 Games Are a Steal

DonJorginho

It is, but that’s on the very rare case that a game comes out being absolutely perfect without any issues, bugs, predatory monetisation, and is the best possible thing you can play.

AAA games very rarely are that these days, so till then, £70/80 is not good value outside of the outliers.

Game publishers have the right to price their games at what they see fit, but I also have the right to not buy it till it falls to the value I deem worthy.

Re: Marathon Maker's Morale in Tatters as Art Director Forced to Admit Asset Theft in Ill-Conceived Livestream

DonJorginho

Karma is forever the victor.

Bungie devs told the higher ups repeatedly that the game wasn’t going to succeed the way they were being made to create it, many devs asked for a PvE inclusion seeing as Marathon is surprise surprise a single player series, the leadership ignored them just like they ignored the repeated breaches of stolen artwork (4 breaches in 2.5 years)

You make your own bed and now they’re going to have to lie in it, this has been the worst acquisition I can think of in recent times and there’s going to be nobody else at fault but Bungie leadership when Sony eventually take control of the studio completely.

Only people I feel sorry for are the devs who’ve worked their backsides off for years on a product doomed to fail, and a product they could all see would do so, hence the repeated attempts to communicate to Pete Parsons and leadership as they instead focused on lovely bonuses and their car collections.

Re: Bungie Conducting 'Thorough Review' After Plagiarised Art Is Found in Marathon

DonJorginho

They’ve said this before and had the exact same thing happen THREE times now, blaming it on “former Bungie artists” isn’t taking the light away from the true problem, Bungie have enabled this kind of behaviour and it’s easy to see how when you see how many awful people who have left Bungie or are still there now, don’t forget the new head of Destiny is the man who infamously said “we should never overdeliver for our players” when talking about how to keep live service engagement.

Pete Parsons and his car collection must be growing everyday thanks to them saving out on paying the artists whose work they steal again and again.

I will not be supporting any more Bungie products and this is coming from someone with up to 1000 hours in Destiny 2, the juice is gone, the leadership is a shambles and the future is bleak.

Re: Poll: Are You Playing DOOM: The Dark Ages?

DonJorginho

Currently in chapter 7/8 on the Series X and am loving it, really weighty feeling combat with the dark fantasy aesthetic is exactly what I needed after Expedition 33, just some brain numbing rip and tearing after that deep story.

Re: Expedition 33 Dev to Turn the Game's Best Character into a Plushie

DonJorginho

Will be buying one day one, the passion this studio has is phenomenal, after I sent them an email thanking them for the game and talking about the connection it brought between me and my younger sister (similar to FF7 on the PS1 for me and my older sister), they sent me a beautiful little message by the games art director.

For a small team, they are the most passionate people and genuine in every way imaginable, will be supporting this studio every way I can.

After 50 Hours of playing on the steam deck and completing the game, it’s the front runner for my GOTY.

(Here’s the cute message btw, with an Esquie drawing!)

Re: PS5 Upgrades STALKER Trilogy with a Native Version, Out 20th May

DonJorginho

@ButterySmooth30FPS most bugs are still related to quests and story progression, performance also took a massive drop on PC with the last patch, to the credit of the devs they release a patch every few weeks and are working hard on it, just feels like even after all the delays it came out just a bit too soon.

Re: PS5 Upgrades STALKER Trilogy with a Native Version, Out 20th May

DonJorginho

@ButterySmooth30FPS wouldn’t hold out hope just yet, release is still a pretty buggy mess on Xbox and PC, and the community are very vocal about it being a disappointment in many ways, especially when it comes to the fabled A-Life implementation which is a huge downgrade from the prior games.

Also with the developers being a smaller team and dealing with the Ukraine war still, I’d guess we won’t see a PS5 version for at least another year; although I’d be happily surprised if that changes and we get it earlier; I enjoyed the game on Xbox technical issues and some disappointing mechanics aside.

Re: Talking Point: What Do You Think of the PS5 Pro, Six Months Later?

DonJorginho

I love mine personally and it’s given me far better experiences on the whole compared to the base, would I say it’s worth the steep price for most still? Absolutely not, most people don’t even know what resolution and framerate they’re playing at, so it’s not aimed for them, especially at its RRP.

But for anyone who has the display to compliment the Pro and cares about squeezing the most out of your games, it’s been a worthwhile investment and I’m enjoying it so much I’m wondering if I’ll even need to be there day one for the PS6, especially with how Sony are with cross gen support these days.
