Can’t be surprised, we know when the big 2 and only 2 games are coming this year; Wolverine seems to be in development hell, Saros won’t come till next year and Entergalactic in 2027.
I’d expect nothing, maybe something during SGF regarding a smaller game like the GoW rumoured Kratos prologue game, but Sony won’t talk when there’s nothing new to show.
I’m never going to moan about difficulty modes; allows even more people to enjoy this amazing game! The fact there’s an even more brutal setting should be all you want if you’re annoyed about an easy mode, they’re catering for both sides of the market which will allow us even more games from them, which I’ll never ever turn my nose up at!
@Ajfennell77 it stinks as I’ve been a Sony console owner since the PS2 launch, never wanted to play anywhere else but I fear these anti consumer choices will only become more frequent and severe as we move into new territory.
Sony this generation seem to be allergic to taking any Ws, what a disappointment this has been so far, yet another anti consumer choice that’s most likely on the eve before raising game prices, they probably realised they’d give more points than they wanted with £80 digital games and didn’t want to lose out on the profits, laughable to the core.
If it wasn’t for DS2, Ghost of Yotei and Intergalactic as well as my existing game library I’d probably have fully emigrated to PC this gen after great experiences with the Steam Deck, too many clanger own goals from Sony, need to get their act together and go back to what made the PS4 generation such a home run.
Randy always has to find a way to balls up good momentum, first time I saw most Borderlands fans happy after the SoP, good old Randy ruining the good vibes.
Make the story good this time and I’ll be there day one, enjoyed the time I had with the first game, just the characters and narrative sucked ass, but the combat and soundtrack especially were god tier.
@RBMango ah yes the reliable, well connected and totally non sensationalist Paul Tassi who boldly claimed Sony paid for an exclusivity deal for Black Myth Wukong according to “his top sources”, then walked back the claim once everyone actually in the know exposed his fallacies.
And I’m targeting a romantic wine and steak dinner date with Kojima.
Marathon has got many issues on it’s hands, but Paul Tassi is an utter fraud who will soon be releasing many articles on the “best builds” to use and the best areas to loot when Marathon launches.
@MrMeeeseeeks wouldn’t go that far tbh, he’s overrated in many regards and some of his personal views make me cringe but I’ve enjoyed both of his games he helmed for the most part, Uncharted 4 not so much but TLOU2 I adored.
It is, but that’s on the very rare case that a game comes out being absolutely perfect without any issues, bugs, predatory monetisation, and is the best possible thing you can play.
AAA games very rarely are that these days, so till then, £70/80 is not good value outside of the outliers.
Game publishers have the right to price their games at what they see fit, but I also have the right to not buy it till it falls to the value I deem worthy.
Bungie devs told the higher ups repeatedly that the game wasn’t going to succeed the way they were being made to create it, many devs asked for a PvE inclusion seeing as Marathon is surprise surprise a single player series, the leadership ignored them just like they ignored the repeated breaches of stolen artwork (4 breaches in 2.5 years)
You make your own bed and now they’re going to have to lie in it, this has been the worst acquisition I can think of in recent times and there’s going to be nobody else at fault but Bungie leadership when Sony eventually take control of the studio completely.
Only people I feel sorry for are the devs who’ve worked their backsides off for years on a product doomed to fail, and a product they could all see would do so, hence the repeated attempts to communicate to Pete Parsons and leadership as they instead focused on lovely bonuses and their car collections.
Much rather this over GTA4, as that can already be played at 60 on my Steam Deck and Series X, selfish I know, but this is a game I need at 60 on the pro, that and an update to fix HDR would be amazing.
@UltimateOtaku91 an honest mistake for the third time, doing the right thing after you’re caught doing the crime doesn’t make you a Samaritan, let alone when you do it three times in 2 years.
@Ilyn that would be true if it wasn’t the third time in a few years this has happened, hell of a coincidence to have not one, not two but three bad eggs, especially after each time Bungie would release the same nothing statement about reviewing this to ensure it doesn’t happen again.
They’ve said this before and had the exact same thing happen THREE times now, blaming it on “former Bungie artists” isn’t taking the light away from the true problem, Bungie have enabled this kind of behaviour and it’s easy to see how when you see how many awful people who have left Bungie or are still there now, don’t forget the new head of Destiny is the man who infamously said “we should never overdeliver for our players” when talking about how to keep live service engagement.
Pete Parsons and his car collection must be growing everyday thanks to them saving out on paying the artists whose work they steal again and again.
I will not be supporting any more Bungie products and this is coming from someone with up to 1000 hours in Destiny 2, the juice is gone, the leadership is a shambles and the future is bleak.
@B0udoir cruel luck for both of us as apparently the game was in a really good state just before this new patch, even Xbox users are now complaining on the Twitter page of KCD saying how it’s a flicker fest and is so bad they have to stop playing due to sickness.
Currently in chapter 7/8 on the Series X and am loving it, really weighty feeling combat with the dark fantasy aesthetic is exactly what I needed after Expedition 33, just some brain numbing rip and tearing after that deep story.
Unfortunately I’m not in London for work the one time the events here lmao, no bother though as I’m sure I’ll still be busy playing the actual game itself 😅
Will be buying one day one, the passion this studio has is phenomenal, after I sent them an email thanking them for the game and talking about the connection it brought between me and my younger sister (similar to FF7 on the PS1 for me and my older sister), they sent me a beautiful little message by the games art director.
For a small team, they are the most passionate people and genuine in every way imaginable, will be supporting this studio every way I can.
After 50 Hours of playing on the steam deck and completing the game, it’s the front runner for my GOTY.
(Here’s the cute message btw, with an Esquie drawing!)
@ButterySmooth30FPS most bugs are still related to quests and story progression, performance also took a massive drop on PC with the last patch, to the credit of the devs they release a patch every few weeks and are working hard on it, just feels like even after all the delays it came out just a bit too soon.
@ButterySmooth30FPS wouldn’t hold out hope just yet, release is still a pretty buggy mess on Xbox and PC, and the community are very vocal about it being a disappointment in many ways, especially when it comes to the fabled A-Life implementation which is a huge downgrade from the prior games.
Also with the developers being a smaller team and dealing with the Ukraine war still, I’d guess we won’t see a PS5 version for at least another year; although I’d be happily surprised if that changes and we get it earlier; I enjoyed the game on Xbox technical issues and some disappointing mechanics aside.
@betasector the hugely positive critical and more importantly audience reception would disagree with your assessment of the show being “barely passable”
Season 1 was top telly so I won’t complain myself just yet. But there is always a lingering fear whenever some shows overstay their welcome, hopefully the quality continues with Season 2.
I love mine personally and it’s given me far better experiences on the whole compared to the base, would I say it’s worth the steep price for most still? Absolutely not, most people don’t even know what resolution and framerate they’re playing at, so it’s not aimed for them, especially at its RRP.
But for anyone who has the display to compliment the Pro and cares about squeezing the most out of your games, it’s been a worthwhile investment and I’m enjoying it so much I’m wondering if I’ll even need to be there day one for the PS6, especially with how Sony are with cross gen support these days.
@Roswell75 it will for sure bud, early impressions I’ve read say it’s a rock solid 60fps framerate on the base machine, think it even has some RT features implemented into it by default.
Will be trying to get hours of this in on the Series X inbetween Clair Obscur and a DS1 replay.
Would you say the exploration style levels get boring after a while or are they sparingly used/have enough diversity from one another to still feel fresh throughout the campaign?
Tried it once during the demo before it launched and again when it was available on PS Extra, and even as someone who has more patience than most (having played and enjoyed the likes of Avatar FoP and Anthem which are both pretty unloved games). This was without a doubt the worst game I’d played since the shovelware era of the Nintendo Wii. The most bland and uninspired story with cringe characters to boot, and on top of that a floaty awful feeling movement system, with a boring open world and bullet sponge spell combat.
I’ll never get those 3 hours of my life back, but I can spread the message, no matter what price Forspoken is; it will NEVER be worth the cost it’ll have on your mental health.
@LifeGirl I gotta disagree tbh, the trailer seems a hell of a lot more grounded than V, still nowhere near the masterpiece that is IV, but it seems like they’re balancing zany characters with a more serious plot and I’m very much down for that after the burnout of V in the years since it’s release on repeat playthroughs.
Can’t say whether it’s viable but Sony just waiting till 2026 to raise console prices will move so many units IF GTA6 is still coming this year.
The fact the Series S is nearly 400 USD and the Series X 2TB glitter edition is more than a Pro is insanity, Sony have already doubled down on their big games this year being £70 so I wonder if it’s possible.
Crazy to think my Series X is now worth more than I paid all those years ago lmao.

Craig Mazin is a hack, everything he has made before and after Chernobyl has been awful, he was never the right choice to have as showrunner.

Shame such amazing source material has been wasted with awful adapting and mediocre writing.
