Re: Dragon Age: The Veilguard Director Is Leaving BioWare

DonJorginho

As someone who got the platinum for Veilguard, it’s a pretty damn fun time, albeit flawed in some areas, but the majority of dialogue and story is actually handled far better than any critic online has made it out to be.

The combat is really damn refined and polished, there’s actually some good choices for a western AAA rpg, and the exploration is top notch.

There’s some cringey dialogue but that’s the same for any Young Adult themed material these days.

It’s no DA Origins, but if you don’t go in expecting it to be, you’ll most likely come away with a positive impression.

I wish the game director well in her new journey (she left BioWare for a new role not because of any failure the game had faced, this is very normal for people who are in such lengthy AAA development).

Some people are sadly already being weird in the comments but it’s the internet in 2025 so it’s gonna happen.

7.5/10 for Veilguard imo, maybe even an 8.

Re: Assassin's Creed Shadows Delayed Again, Now Out 20th March

DonJorginho

@Ravix I’m in the same boat, glad it’s been delayed as have time to play MHW, Avowed and indeed KCDII!

But yeah even Mirage sold like 5-7m copies, this series prints money, Ubisoft are simply ensuring it’s in a perfect position to make the most money possible, more eyes on it, means more marketing etc.

Re: Unfortunately, PS5's Disc Drive Add-On Shortage Doesn't Seem to Be Getting Better

Honestly at this rate I can see why some are of the belief that this is a deliberate strategy from Sony.

There is no way that Sony with all their manufacturers and distributors, can't get these out on a more consistent basis, same goes for the Dualsense Edge stick modules.

They've rode the PR train by "offering options" only to ensure those options are never readily available, forcing players down a far more expensive path, to only Sony's benefit.

@Northern_munkey very much in the same boat pal, I come to these sites to get away from political/social discourse, and now it’s seemingly being thrust onto the front page every week as it brings in the traction/ad revenue for PushSquare.

If they didn’t make that whole song and dance about the new years promise and being different I wouldn’t be as disappointed but my god they didn’t even last a week.

@riceNpea there’s never a point to crying and insulting games you don’t like when they’re literally a free bonus for a paid tier of Online.

If he was criticising paying for online I’d understand, but then to bring PC warring talk into it, just shown me his immaturity, simple as really.

@guestwork Stop being such an immature child, calling video games you don’t like “aids” in 2025 my god get a life my man 😭

It’s the bottom tier of PS online, you’re not gonna be getting Stellar Blade, Astro Bot or Elden Ring level drops for most of the year if not ever.

That’s what PS Premium is for.

Re: Game of the Year: #1 - Astro Bot

DonJorginho

A real shining light within a heavily disappointing generation for PlayStation first party titles.

Rebirth was my GOTY but Astro was a close second, the most unbridled joy I’d experienced in a game since Mario Galaxy 2.
