Re: Mini Review: Wuchang: Fallen Feathers (PS5) - Decent Souls-Like Suffers Technically

DonJorginho

Getting VERY tired with the amount of generic soulslikes being forced out into the wild these days, unless you have something truly special to offer like Lies of P did, I’d much rather developers make something unique and valuable instead of chasing trends to release games that are given praise for being “serviceable”, I’m sure that’s why they decided to make games years ago.

It’s okay to chase trends if you innovate on said trends, if you’re just going to produce something by the numbers, don’t expect most people to dish out their wallets as a response.

Re: Poll: Are You Sold on Ghost of Yotei?

Lots of these people moaning about the game being similar to Tsushima must surely not play any sequels given how much they hate games being similar with incremental improvements over the former games?

I think Yotei looks good, not a GOTY winner most likely but an incredible open world experience to relax to, loads of nice improvements over the first game and even with YouTube compression it looks gorgeous on base PS5, will look incredible on Pro, can’t wait for October to come round!

Re: Digital Sales Make Death Stranding 2 PS5 Estimates Much Stronger

@Frmknst I paid full price for the digital deluxe edition for a few reasons:

  • I wanted to fully support KojiPro and they’re one of the few devs who deliver (pun intended) fully polished AAA quality titles.
  • I wanted to avoid spoilers and seeing as DS1 is my favourite game of all time I was willing to pay the extra £10 for those extra days to play my most anticipated title in years.
  • DS2 is a game I won’t ever want to resale as even once I’m done with the platinum it’s a game I’ll come back to on and off like I do with DS1 as no other games offer what these two do, plus I’m over 52 hours in and still ONLY on Episode 6 of 14 I believe so this has been immense value so far.

I go physical where I can, but for games I know I won’t ever sell, unless there’s an insane physical deal, I’ll go for a digital copy for ease of access.

Re: Ambitious, AAA PS5 Exclusive to Deliver Ground-Breaking Story and Atmosphere

Hopefully it’s not Until Dawn, very unpopular opinion but it’s by far for me the most overrated Sony IP from that PS4 era, great visuals for the time but that’s about it for me, I find myself going back to games like The Wolf Among Us far more regularly within that genre compared to Until Dawn, and Supermassive haven’t released anything that good since then either.

Re: Death Stranding 2 (PS5) - A Masterpiece in Every Sense

@Psnfanboy79 Digital Foundry have said how the game has quality mode visuals at performance level framerates on the Pro and how there’s no reason to turn on quality mode when performance looks that good.

Also confirmed that performance mode via Pro on a VRR display has the game output at 120hz to improve input latency and expands VRR window having better motion stability.

Performance mode on PS5 base has 1440p resolution with shimmering and softness, the Pro has a higher average resolution and far better image quality with less shimmering and holds a higher resolution more often on PS5 Pro resembling the base PS5 quality mode.

Re: Kick Back with More Mind Blowing Death Stranding 2 PS5 Gameplay

DonJorginho

Was nice to see live gameplay, the game looks absolutely stunning and by far the best looking game of this generation as of now.

Combat still seems simplistic at its core but that’ll be something putting the difficulty up to hard/very hard will fix for the most part. Also god bless who played the game but they looked hella rusty so maybe that plays a part on the combat and how it was showcased.

Love the use of dynamic music for your actions in game and the visual flair on show all through what we seen, only skimmed through for the most part due to not wanting to be spoilt but this game is definitely going to be a GOTY contender.

Re: Resident Evil Requiem Revealed, Out on 27th February 2026

@PuppetMaster No he didn’t, he said months ago that was a version of the game that was CANCELLED due to dev issues.

In recent months he’s said about:

  • Returning to Racoon City
  • Leon as ONE of the playable characters
  • A gothic vibe for the game
  • Return to more tense horror compared to 8

And all of that was true; he even hinted the name of the game 30 minutes before the reveal.

(On Leon I’m guessing the “action sequences” Geoff talked about will be his parts, where as Grace will have the more vulnerable stalker stealth horror sections)

People online and in the comments still can’t seem to comprehend that gaming isn’t all about AAA and MTX filled slop fests. If you bring actual games with creativity running through them people will turn up, and this SoP is proof of that, it had a great variety of titles, pretty good pacing bar the section with Sid Shuman and besides the Yotei fake out I enjoyed it all.
