@Grumblevolcano If Nintendo price the Switch 2 at that kinda price then yeah my prediction goes out the window, as Nintendo are the new price setters now, Sony will follow suit if they’re pricing high, but we will see, hopefully Switch 2 is around the £450 mark.

@Loamy Yep I’m also thinking £525-549.99 for the PS6. But then again I thought the Pro would be £550 so maybe my calculations are just heavily flawed 🤣

And people who think this means Sony will charge £600+ for the PS6 please give your head a little shake, the Pro is priced how it is as it’s a premium enthusiast item, the PS6 will be for the masses so will be priced accordingly.

A chance to play in England if it was run by Nigel Farage is always an experience worth the price of admission entertainment wise, day one baby!

I remember when I questioned this being the best Lego game ever made like the preview said and I was given a snarky response from Sammy for daring to question the preview and it’s bold claims, well looks like I got the last laugh, LEGO LORD OF THE RINGS REMAINS UNBEATABLE 💅

Been trying it out with games and man it almost feels like a new generational leap, no more blurry messes!!!

Nintendo are the biggest cancer in gaming and I won’t be told otherwise, they’re brutes and bullies.

Pop in and texture issues are the only big problems for me when playing a bit of it earlier but that’s more a hard line issue; FF7 Remake and Rebirth both have awful texture work and their engine seems to suffer with pop in for foliage, even in the PC port for Remake.

Another game boosted to new heights thanks to Pro, who would’ve thunk it 😉

@Cerny multiple PS5 Pro patched games look better than anything we’ve seen this generation so far, you can cherry pick a few outliers to suit your agenda but the results don’t lie, you were always going to whine and complain, let’s be honest with ourselves here buddy.

Also shimmering issues on Dragon Age, makes me wonder whether it’s a system level issue that devs can’t hack just yet, will likely be ironed out, it’s day one of the refresh so I expected some bumps, it’s great that it stays within the VRR range though, I hated the dips on my base PS5.

Today I learnt that GT Sport had at least one insufferable die hard fan, good to know!

Once GoY, DS2 and GTA 6 come out I’m sure we’ll see plenty nay-sayers coming out the woodwork to pick one up, it’s a seemingly great piece of kit and seeing as we may not see a PS6 till 2028-2030, selling your PS5 towards one of these is a cost effective manner to experience the rest of this generation at it’s fullest imo.

And if you don’t agree and don’t want one; why are you reading this comment 😉

@BlaizeV I don’t know how many more times Sony have to say this, but this was always meant to be a quality mode at 60fps machine, and with games like Horizon FW, Alan Wake 2, R&C and Spider-Man 2 we see modes that push the visuals further than anything the base PS5 has available with RT reflections, 2 of these games deliver that at 60fps, and this is without mentioning the likes of F1 24 which looks like a completely new game in terms of its lighting available on pro.

Great for the devs behind the game! People wishing for this to fail were always forgetting the real people behind making this who worked their butts off, they deserve this success and it shows that social media outcry is nothing to take seriously ❤️

@ThroughTheIris56 Most sales in every region are digital, the outrage has all be online from hardcore gamers and scalpers scalp anything they feel will be scarce in supply, that’s what scalping is.

Check any sales chart data and look at the ratios, the fact consoles are leaning towards this option shows we are heading into a digital age, I never said I’m for it, I have a disc drive for my incoming pro, I like physical, sometimes digital is a better deal but that’s 1/10 times.

PS5 Slim also had a digital option, it’s just cheap enough that they can sell the disc drive with an optional SKU without losing too much money, one disc drive is all it takes to render the slim obsolete so I’m happy to do that if it means enjoying my time this generation.

@ThroughTheIris56 Embarrassment is a bit far fetched, an annoyance maybe, but we do live in a digital age so you can't blame companies for moving away from a dying market (most sales are digital these days)

I myself am a disc collector but most of my friends only stick to digital and don't care for their drives, a sign of the times!

And that my friends, is why you buy the disc drive early, thankfully not an issue to me, but I hope SONY get more stock out soon for those needing one last minute.

Black Ops 6 being on here is really intriguing, especially seeing as Sony were convinced in the legal battle over Xbox getting Activision last year that Xbox would on purposely make the game run worse on Sony consoles lmao

I love Toyama so much but reading some other reviews and seeing gameplay it really seems like this is a deep sale kinda game.

The pros listed here aren’t sounding like a 7/10 game, especially not at full price, I’ll definitely play this on the Pro in late 2025 when it’s in deep discount!

@zhoont Not true, they were saved by Krafton and are now working on a sequel to Hi-Fi Rush, however Ghostwire Tokyo and The Evil Within will remain with Microsoft so no chance of a Pro update.
