It has the best gameplay of any game I’ve played this year, and I love alien and sci-fi stuff. So yes, Returnal is my game of the year as well.

Glad to see it get some recognition and Housemarque has me eagerly anticipating what they do next after putting out a game like this.

This game has 3.5x the views on Youtube as the second most watched trailer from the State of Play (Star Ocean).

It might not be very popular for gamers who frequent news sites, but it definitely has a large following. This might be a pretty big deal when it releases.

It looks better than the older ones that had you stationary and just checking cameras before, looks like a proper first person adventure.

I still haven’t gotten around to trying Bugsnax yet. Looks like the best time to jump in will be after this DLC releases.

@Voltan Huh, weird. If you go to the store and check the Deathloop deluxe edition it says PS4/PS5 underneath. I guess some of the bonus content can be used on the PS4 then.

@Voltan If it was originally $70 and now it’s $40, how is that a 34% discount? Or was it always a $60 title?

Edit: I see it in the store now, it was $60 at full price. For some reason I thought it was $70 full price but it makes sense as a crossgen game. Kinda forgot the PS4 version exists to be honest. Or maybe I’m just used to PS5 games costing $70 already 😂

Deathloop is already almost 50% off? Huh, might have to try that one sooner than I thought.

Great news! This is the only game I was hoping would show up tomorrow. It looks fantastic.

It’s only third parties. Out of those, I’m really hoping to see more of Little Devil Inside. And I’m 100% confident Call of Duty: Vanguard will be there.

I would be thrilled about getting Dead Cells or Stardew Valley.

I’m alternating between playing The Last of Us 2 and crying like a baby.

No doubt a strategic release with Ragnarok coming out next year. This will do big numbers on PC and get some new people interested in God of War as a series.

Pretty impressive numbers, especially considering it’s given away in the PS+ collection for all PS5 owners.

Returnal not in the running for Game of the Year is an absolute joke. Meanwhile Mass Effect is on there for a remaster of a series that old? Game of the year 2021? Pure sillyness.

Interestingly enough there is still a bundle on the PS store that includes San Andreas with GTA V, but not San Andreas individually.

I just got the platinum a few hours ago! Definitely one of the best coop games I’ve played.

That’s why I don’t get it when some people say they don’t mind XP boosters in games, and you can just choose to ignore them. Uh no, if they are in the game there’s always a good chance that regular XP progression was purposely slowed down by the devs in order to encourage these predatory transactions.

I’m glad I never touched this game, and never will. I can see SE offload Crystal to MS after they help them with Perfect Dark. Studio seems like it’s going downhill fast.

I’m actually looking forward to playing some PlayStation Studios mobile games. I don’t have an issue with this as long as the console output is unaffected.

I’m not one to spend money on in-app purchases though.

@KidBoruto There’s some leaker on Twitter who has gotten a few things right in the past claiming they are working on 2 games currently: an original smaller game, think Miles Morales in terms of length, and then another remake.

Yeah I thought I remembered the PS3 numbers being quite low, the Souls series hadn’t taken off yet with this being the first entry. Glad to see a lot more are enjoying it this time around.

It’s clear that Hermen Hulst and Jim Ryan have a more strategic approach to their acquisition strategies that I have no doubt will pay off huge in the long run. They don’t have to take away longtime major publishers or established IP from anyone in the process.

Well deserved! Can’t emphasize enough how much of an amazing remake this is. I’m well over 100 hours into it and the artwork and Bluepoint’s interpretation of things are so well done.

1.4 million I believe already puts it well ahead of the PS3 original’s total sales. It’s great that more people are experiencing this game.

Good luck with the original content! I’m sure Nixxes can take the helm for some remasters in the meantime.

All hail the remake kings! Bluepoint games is a studio of serious quality. I’m still playing through the Demon’s Souls remake and am in awe of what they accomplish time and again with their stunning recreations.

I would expect nothing less. If a 2023 game and a 2024+ game are still being developed as crossgen, that would be a really tough sell in justifying why for Sony. Last gen needs to be left behind at some point and the 2023/2024 mark is halfway through the console’s lifecycle.

I have no idea what’s going on with the acquisition, but I just want to see what they’re working on next after the amazing Shadow of the Colossus remake and the incredible Demon’s Souls remake.

They can do no wrong in my book.

All these games will do monster numbers upon release. Sony is killing it.

I remember when the Horizon: Forbidden West State of Play came out, that did 4.5 million views in less than 24 hours as well.

I don’t think I agree that it wasn’t good enough. There were some genuinely surprise announcements such as the KOTOR remake and Wolverine. The games we expected like Gran Turismo 7 and God of War look amazing as thought they would.

I am personally bummed to see Naughty Dog’s only appearance be in the form of two remasters from PS4. Factions is still not ready to show yet? Feelsbadman.

Looks like they are focusing more on the cutscenes than the gameplay. I’ll wait for reviews on this one.

Kinda wish I waited before getting most trophies in Uncharted 4, but it’s all good. I don’t think I’ll be picking this up but I’m sure it will be the best version of what is an incredible game.

@Milktastrophe Awfully presumptuous on your part if you think that because the next two games are Marvel, every game from now on by Insomniac will be a Marvel game.

There was only one Ratchet & Clank for the entirety of the PS4 lifecycle. There has already been a new Ratchet & Clank within the first year of the PS5. You questioning if the franchise is dead just because it’s not one of Insomniac’s next two games comes off as silly in that context.

@KippDynamite You’re correct about Ratchet in the PS2 and PS3 days. There was only one Ratchet for PS4 but they also did Sunset Overdrive, Spiderman, as well as multiple VR and smaller projects during that time last generation. Also, Naughty Dog released the Uncharted and TLoU games two years apart from each other, not one year: Uncharted 1 in 2007, 2 in 2009, 3 in 2011, and TLoU in 2013.

I’ve never heard that Returnal was developed in 18 months, where did you get that from?

Rumors are they are working on a dark narrative adventure game like Heavy Rain or Detroit, a multiplayer project, and a Horizon VR title. Exciting stuff if true.

So now it’s a free upgrade to PS5 from the PS4 version. So…why would anyone buy the more expensive PS5 version?
