Bugsnax, the unique and comedic PlayStation 5 launch game, is being treated to a free expansion next year titled The Isle of Bigsnax. Announced during Sony's latest State of Play showcase, it adds huge Bugsnax, ones with hats, and home customisation. Check out the announcement trailer above for more context.
"In the Isle of BIGsnax update, explore a mysterious new land crawling with supersized Bugsnax. Back on Snaktooth, you can complete challenges from your mailbox, collect decorations to personalize your hut, and most important of all: put hats on your favorite Bugsnax!"

This game was nearly my GOTY last year, so glad it’s getting an update as substantial as this one

A very pleasant surprise, this looks like it could have easily been paid DLC.
That was probably the worst State of Play I've seen.

Early 2022🤔 If it comes out in February around Forbidden West, Elden Ring, and Sifu… I don’t know how I’ll play all of that!
I mean free is good but I’d rather time was spent on a sequel. Plus not really into building mechanics. I’ll give it a go though, my kids have spent tens and tens of hours on this so may like extra content.

Hands down the best part of the show. And it's free. Really enjoyed playing the game and actually kind of missed it, so am looking forward to go back to it.

Honestly I was surprised by how much I enjoyed Bugsnax and more content is always welcome
I had zero expectations for the state of play but I am actually in shock as to how bad it was. I honestly thought we would at least get one of the anticipated 3rd party releases such as ff16, hogwarts legacy etc. I knew it would be bad, but not this bad lol. Oh and I guess among us type games are gonna be the new battle Royale sigh
@zimbogamer If those games don't have anything to show then Sony can't exactly imagine it out of thin air.

I'm definitely down for this. Bugsnax was a surprise and I even platinumed it.
Didn't expect much when I first played it and I ended up loving it. A lot of unexpected dry and dirty humor in this game as well.
I still need to finish playing Bugsnax, was enjoying what I had experienced so far.
The most surprising thing about this trailer to me is that the same Grumbles from the story are STILL eating the Bugsnax?? Have you learned nothing!? xD
I still haven’t gotten around to trying Bugsnax yet. Looks like the best time to jump in will be after this DLC releases.
