Best open-world traversal of all time by a long shot. The control you have and the things you can pull off in Spider-Man 2 do a great job of making you feel like a superhero.

I’ll definitely give it another playthrough for $10, if not for any other reason than to check out how the latest refinements by Naughty Dog are going, and also this new survival mode sounds dope.

My first playthrough of Elden Ring where I explored every inch of that world lasted 470 hours. Let’s see if it can top that. I’m ready.

@mariomaster96 You get content that can be used in the game now for pre-ordering. That’s the main reason why someone would get it this far in advance, I would guess.

Better to delay The Final Shape and Marathon than push them out when they are not ready. I have no doubts that both will be massive and set record numbers for Bungie when they release.

Destiny 2 - Festival of the Lost is in full swing and I’ll be grinding haunted lost sectors in hopes of nabbing that perfect 5/5 pvp Mechabre sniper rifle.

Spider-Man 2 - Slowly making my way through the campaign and having a web-slinging good time.

Holy smokes, I thought it’d be a solid game, but not this good. This year has been absolutely nuts.

Welp, guess I’ll be getting this lazy effort after all. Can’t pass up a plat of the original MGS.

I played through Spider-Man Remastered earlier in the year, and Miles Morales just last month, and I instantly noticed a big jump with Spider-man 2.

Textures, geometry, draw distance, traversal speed, and combat all make for next-gen feeling experience. The combat in particular is noticeably more cinematic. The triangle+circle finishers in this game are absolutely epic! Much improved over the first two games.

Dang, I just bought Disco Elysium: The Final Cut on sale bout a month ago. Oh well, still a great month.

Can’t wait to see where they go from Returnal.

So ready for this. I just platinum’d Miles Morales yesterday. It’s going to feel familiar but at the same time I’m interested to see all the refinements and improvements.

I played Elden Ring for over 400 hours this year. So nah…all due respect to the game but I think I’d be disappointed by comparison.

Been playing Miles Morales the last few days, 7 hours in and I’m 48% done with the main story. Been doing a lot of side content around the city as well.

Feels like a perfect little appetizer while I wait for the main course in October!

100% playing 13 Sentinels, Odin Sphere, and Nier Replicant from this list.

Excellent month with those 3 alone.

But didn’t Rockstar only publish the remastered trilogy? I believed they outsourced the development to Grove Street Games, and that’s why it was such a mess.

Wow that’s really low effort. I already have the Legacy collection on PS3.

So basically the only noteworthy change is they just added trophy support to the MGS port that was in the collection before? It’s sad that I’ll probably get it for that reason alone, but it sure does come off as barebones and lazy.

No incentive to play a straight port again. I got full trophy completion for RDR and all its DLC in 2020 on the PS3, right when Covid lockdown started.

I’ll remember this game with fond memories because it was the game I binged while wondering if the world was coming to an end.

A fantastic game, but I have no reason to revisit it again if this port offers nothing new.

Record sales going into a discount, followed up closely by Spider-Man 2. This shizz bout to snowball.

I started Twisted Metal when it came to the PS+ classic collection and so far have beaten the game with about half the roster. I gotta beat the game with the other half of cars to get the platinum.

Other that, continuing my journey in Elden Ring about 290 hours in now, and always getting at least a few rounds in of Crypt of the Necrodancer daily.

Pretty awesome to see Twisted Metal get a resurgence between this show, the classics added to ps+ recently, and the new title supposedly in the works.

I wasn’t feeling the short clip I saw from the show, but the generally positive reviews has me more curious to check it out.

5x the length of previous games, or in other words, still 4x smaller than Elden Ring.

Let’s go! Beat the game with all characters, that should be a fun nostalgia trip. I’m bout to melt fools with Thumper.

@Darude84 Im not staying in an area just to grind rune levels, I just take a really long time to explore places when I want to be thorough. The sheer size of the world in Elden Ring is quite impressive, I gotta say.

I thought Horizon: Forbidden West had a large map but it feels small now in comparison to Elden Ring.

My vigor does feel like it’s starting to get high at 60 though, so I can survive most attacks. So I just decided a while back to not use any summons to help me during boss fights, to keep the challenge up. Miss my little jellyfish though. That was my favorite one.

Elden Ring. 240 hours in, haven’t beaten it yet and no sign of stopping anytime soon. I’m exploring every square inch of this world.

I’m a fan of the Killzone series, but never have played this one. I’m looking forward to changing that, and hopefully with a shiny new platinum.

Honestly don’t see how this show was any better than Sony’s. Nothing shown was on the level of Dragon’s Dogma 2 unless you’re a huge FF fan.

I see both shows as equal in terms of quality games. The Sony show just had way more hype around it so it gave a worse impression.

@BAMozzy Right, but can’t the same be said for the Spider-Man 2 video as well as all the other games that were at the showcase? They were all linked on various websites, and none of them did anywhere close to the viewership numbers that Marathon and Spider-Man 2 got.

That was precisely my point that a new Bungie release is a very big deal. I think it’s impressive that a reboot of a very old game from Bungie is doing Spider-Man 2 engagement numbers.

But you’re right about the size of the Youtube account not mattering much if all the websites linked it.

It’s impressive for sure, Spider-Man 2 is going to do huge numbers.

But what’s way more impressive and downright shocking to me is that the youtube channel for Marathon has a measly 20k subscribers and almost 19 million views for the Marathon trailer. Look into it if anyone is curious.

It’s got the numbers of Spider-Man 2’s Marvel and PlayStation account views combined on a tiny youtube channel. That’s more impressive to me since it’s not a household name like Spider-Man.
