The upcoming GTA Trilogy, due out next week, will not eat up too much storage space on your PlayStation 5. The ever-reliable PlayStation Game Size has crawled Sony’s servers, and dug up the all-important information ahead of the compilation’s release next week. Here’s all of the file sizes, pre-patch, according to the aforementioned Twitter account:
- GTA 3: 5.293GB
- GTA Vice City: 10.768GB
- GTA San Andreas: 22.679GB
So, overall you’re looking at about 38GB, assuming patches don’t bloat the number significantly. That seems like a reasonable figure for a trilogy to us – especially as it has higher resolution assets than on the PlayStation 2. It seems the three titles will be available as separate icons on the dashboard, so it’s highly likely they’ll be sold separately at some point as well.

Trying GTA III on PSNow when it's available but as for the full purchase I am waiting for that to be on sale!
File sizes are more than reasonable.
I just hope the game bugs with some missions were addressed! Looking at you Vice City and Top Fun van...

I've got now and Game Pass, so just need Vice City to come to Nintendo Online and I'm sorted.
I found the character models so hidious that im skipping it.

@playstation1995 I wouldn’t assume so. PS5 kraken compression is much better.
Also when will we find out about the MUSIC!? For all we know it could have all been replaced.
Thankfully I only care about San Andreas so that works for me I really want to be filled in on the music situation though

@Flaming_Kaiser They just look like the original art. It’s such a non-complaint given that they match the designers’ original vision for the characters.
On Playstation, only the PS4 version is physically on preorder. Is a PS5 Disc version coming?

Does anyone else think we should of seen more of these games by now? Minute to minute gameplay just to get a feel of them and see what the new aiming system looks like. I haven't seen any confirmation on the soundtracks either, unless I've missed something.
I honestly have no interest. I enjoyed them back in the day but feel like they will feel very dated at this point.
@Splat I played vice city and San Andreas the ones that came out on PS4 and yes they did feel very dated but once you got used to the controls again they were as enjoyable as they were, great games, hopefully these upgrade will make them even better. I'm definitely picking them up just not sure if day one yet might get cod but still not sure about that either so one of them will pick up. And as a few said I think the music situation has to be addressed soon because if it's not original soundtrack then that may sway me to wait for a sale tbh.
Been playing a lot of SA lately since the trailer, still, I want to see gameplay vids before deciding especially after realising Weird West is from Arkane's founder and devs coming Jan 11.
Give me a pre-order for the physical PS5 version. I see it for Switch at Best Buy but not a PS5 version...

@Texan_Survivor it’s a good service, my issue with it is resubscribing. I never feel the urge to have it for a full year, I’ll have it for a few months then cancel my subscription then re subscribe the following year if they add some games I really want to play
@Angelus3K going by the trailer music having that gta 3 song, the “babbino caro” one , I’m guessing that most if not all the music will be there
I feel sorry for anyone buying this on Switch...
At best they get one game on the cheapest 8GB cart.

I considered it on Switch but I buy digital exclusively on that console so that wasn’t my reason for deciding against it.
PS5 runs at 60FPS.
I kind of wish they would have prioritized 60FPS across all platforms, even if it required more aggressive resolution scaling a slight decrease in visual settings. I’d go for the Switch version in that context.
@GamerDad66 They won't be this size on Switch, most likely halve the size.

@playstation1995 Tommy looks fat and his hands plus he looks like a plastic action figure, GTA 3 those faces i liked the older ones way better this looks really dissapointing, San Andreas look fine. I like the world but not the characters at all. Like i say i say its mine opinion im not obligated to share your opinion.
@nessisonett I disagree i dont dislike cartoony i dislike the look of the characters and thats my opinion. Nothing wrong with the world that looks fine but the characters no they look terrible.

Still a concern they've yet to confirm the return of the full soundtracks,(or not),given the price increase relative to the mobile ported "ps2 classics" versions!🤔
