@glennthefrog main story line? Definitely. But the side quests and slice of life moments in Kuro and Kuro 2 are simply the best in the series. I had more fun playing with kids than saving the world.
It is easily the best game From ever made. That said, I don't want any remakes/remasters/sequels, it is perfectly self-sufficient.
Also it's my only game (aside Need For Speed 2015) that had physical review copy.
For the record, I only played the demo and maybe the whole game feels quite different. I played quite a lot of soulslikes, but I never saw such a shameless rip-off without even a semblance of individuality. I even doesn't have pause despite zero online components. Is there a poison swamp?
I love Persona 4, but there are no reasons to remake it. At all. It is perfectly playable today. (Unless PS5 is your first and only gaming device, but then there are big chances that PS2 jrpgs are not your gem)
The last AC game I played in release was Syndicate, and only because I was reviewing it during my game journalist days. I'll get Shadows when it will get complete edition and discount. And a question for those who are playing: Can you change controls so the attacks are face buttons and parkour is R1/R2? It was possible in Odyssey and not in Valhalla for some reason. Is there still "all good guys are assassins and bad are templars" bullcrap going on?
While this article has less comments than the review (not for long), just a couple of simple questions: Can you change controls so the attacks are face buttons and parkour is R1/R2? It was possible in Odyssey and not in Valhalla for some reason. Is there still "all good guys are assassins and bad are templars" bullcrap going on?
Well, since review embargo is lifted, I can share some inside information. Believe it or not. First, the team behind Shadows was very ambitious. The folks knew that simply being AC in Japan won't cut it and the team was hellbent on making the best action rpg gameplay and battle system. They had crapton of cool ideas and Ubi greenlit them all. But as development dragged on and on and on all those ideas got butchered and the end result is just more refined Valhalla gameplay. Big sad. Second. The development was a classic example of "right hand doesn't know what left is doing". Great many people worked on this game, but communication was basically nonexistent. The programmers could spend weeks working on a feature that has already been cut. The game could come out a year ago if the development was simply more organised. And a third, that will sure ruffle some feathers but I have to say this, please don't mark me as "unconstructive". Project leads really wanted to make authentic historical game and not something "how Canadians see Japan", so they really did hire Japanese experts and history professors as consultants. The problem is, management hired, well, "another" consultant, and when historians said A and another consultant said B, management always went with B. Good or bad it is, decide for yourself.
With that I'm glad the game is competent and I'll get it when the complete edition is released and gets a discount, just like I did with previous installments.
@Mikey856 Silent Hill is exactly what traditional horror should be: making you feel scared, uneasy and disturbed. Resident Evil never ever was scary, simply having zombies and sparce jumpscares doesn't make a horror.
Treating horror audience like this is frankly insulting. Imagine calling your mother: Mom, I played a scary game and wet myself. Can I trust you? The game told me to talk to you.
I perfectly understand that developers want to broaden their audience, but oh man. My favourite Atelier games were pink candy apple: no villains, no high stakes, frilly dresses, everyone were cheerful, friendly and helped each other. No saving the world, just wholesome slice of life goodness. And I loved it. And now I doubt I will ever see such games again.
Anyway, preordered physical, but it will only arrive march 28. Guess I'll play a demo an hour at a time till then.
@themightyant I agree that strictly for PS5 games ps portal is much better, but the thing is, steam deck is everything. It is ps portal, steam portal, gamepass portal, every console from Atari 2600 to Wii U, and most importantly for me, the ultimate VN reader, it was the primary reason for me to buy it. And I have zero issues with text, even though my vision is not what it was 15 years ago. If I didn't have a deck I'd go and buy deck.
I already adore this game and will be playing it day one, but I have just one fear. Seeing hiw beautiful and polished the game looks and how small is the developer team, I'm afraid it will be too short.
Drop in to new parks or tear it up across the timeless parks from both Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4, authentically remade in jaw dropping 4K resolution with streamlined goals and the epic two-minute format.

@YoureTooSlowBro damn, I wonder how me and others manage to play on Nintendo systems without this fundamental component.
Re: Ubisoft Spins Off Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, Rainbow Six into New Subsidiary with Tencent
Special edition of Shadows is already discounted at my local store.
Re: No Platinum Trophy in Croc: Legend of the Gobbos Remaster's Meagre PS5 Trophy List
Looking at the comments makes me wonder how people even found motivation to play games before PS3.
Re: Preview: Being the Good Guy Is Fun for Once in Classic GTA Police Sim The Precinct on PS5
I'd rather prefer Sleeping Dogs sequel, but we all know it'll never happen.
Re: Atlus Is Remastering a Fan-Favourite PS2 Shin Megami Tensei RPG for PS5, PS4 This Summer
Little bummed that this isn't the collection of two games, King Abaddon is better than Soulless Army in every single way.

@Barry_vV I know, right? Every reviewer should check metacritic and score the game appropriately.

Re: Bloodborne Fans Wait with Bated Breath as Iconic PS4 Exclusive Turns 10 Today
Do a lot of people really pray for yet another remaster of a PS4 game? It won't be a new game, nor a remake, it's absolutely playable on PS5.
Re: Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 Will Reportedly Include Bam Margera After All
Big respect to Tony, as always. Big rotten tomato to Activision for butchering THPS 4 and trying to exclude Bam.

Re: Persona 4 PS5 Remake Hopes Higher Still as Domain Registration Is Noted
