Capcom has announced some new content coming to its unusual real-time strategy action title, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess.
Released almost a year ago, the game became something of a cult hit, and soon players will be able to dive back in for more.
On 5th June, the game will receive a free update containing a new mode called Otherworldly Venture.
This sees you entering the realm beyond the torii gates, and while the core mix of action and tactics remains, the challenge is quite different from the main game's levels.
You must recruit villagers and place them strategically, but this time you'll face off against endless waves of the Seethe, earning upgrades and rewards upon completing specific challenges.
It seems to us like a slightly simplified variation, and more of a score attack type mode, which sounds like a good idea.
Again, it arrives free for all players in just over a week. Will you be hopping back into Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess for the Otherworldly Venture update? Tell us in the comments section below.

Extremely underrated game
I should pick this up. Loved the demo but had other things to play. Might be a nice game to squeeze in before DS2
Good, nice to get some more content to my favorite ultra-specific genre "game with unusual mechanics, which stars a goddess who uses her powers to fight demons and purify nature" which also features Okami and Sakuna: Of Rice & Ruin, two of my favorite games of all time.
Love the game and can’t wait to play the DLC!
People asking Capcom to stop milking MH and RE and make a new IP. But a lot of those people didn't show up when Capcom made a new one that is amazing like Kunitsu Gami. The same thing happened years ago with God Hand, Haunting Ground, Mega Man Legends, etc. No wonder Capcom focus a lot on MH and RE.
@Dalamar True. It's just sad how this amazing game only sold around 500K copies. It deserved more.
Probably my game of the year last year. Really wonderful experience
Amazing game in its presentation, but the action has not clicked. The combat feels super limp, but I have only played two hours or so.
