I'm still plowing through Ghost of Yogurt, and it's much longer than I anticipated. Either I'm extremely slow, or howlongtobeat lied to me, I'm only in the third region and the timer already shows almost 40 hours. In the beginning I really enjoyed the gameplay loop, but now I just want to be done with it and return to Ninja Gaiden 4.
Other than that, I'm having a wonderful time with Once Upon a Katamari, it's a delightful little game. It might be the best entry in the series, it has everything that I love about Katamari: songs, humour, variety - abundance of all. Play it if you ever liked Katamari.
While graphics and gameplay in Yotei are improvements over Tsushima, it's honestly not by much. And it's not because Yotei looks bad, but because Tsushima is unbelievably pretty for a PS4 game. And while gameplay is more refined and varied, I was quite disappointed with the new weapon system. It's not that I expected Nioh level or something, but it's just the same shape block puzzle for toddlers as Jin's stances were, the only difference is animation. And while I'm only 35 hours in and can't speak for the whole story, I definitely prefer Jin over Atsu because of his transformation from samurai to ghost. Compared to that, Atsu has no character growth, simply because of the game open system that does nothing good, but hurts the writing.
I didn't even like Stray, though it got more to do with my expectations than the game itself. I wanted a cute platformer about a cat, I got a walking simulator about robots in dystopia, featuring cat.
@Dogbreath I already played 7 inVR. It's just first Silent Hill in the childhood and DDLC scared so much crap out of me, that even great horrors like later SH games and Fatal Frame because as scary for me as kitten videos.
Hot take: while I absolutely adore Resident Evil, I just can't view it as a horror. It's an action series. The scariest game I ever played was Doki Doki Literature Club.
8, and in my book 8 is very high score and archived by a very few games. While NG4 has some questionable narrative and design choices, core gameplay is simply superb.
I mean, comparing music of Sony games to something like FFXIV or Clair Obscur is like going to the church to listen to boys choir instead of Iron Maiden concert.
>If you're not a fan of copious amounts of swearing and constant references to current cultural trends, you'll probably bounce off Dispatch within a matter of minutes — it won't matter if the characters strike a chord or not. It's very American and it's very quippy, and that certainly won't be to everyone's tastes.
My sincere gratitude for mentioning this - I won't be touching this game.
Despite having this game on gamepass, I won't touch it at all. Writing in the first game sucked so hard it's unbelievable: the whole game is disgustingly lame humour and RICH BAAAD CORPOS BAAAD like it was written by 16 years old. Obsidian that made New Vegas is dead and gone.
I have it on gamepass, played through first level today. On negative side, it's clear that NG4 is Platinum game, not Team Ninja game. Telegraphed attacks, exclamation marks, meters, perfect dodges, perfect blocks, male Viola for MC and all that *****. On positive side, hard difficulty is still challenging, izuna dropping has never been not fun, and the first boss battle was awesome.
I would prefer new game to the remaster any day. But then again, I never was the target audience for any remasters, I don't throw away my older consoles and don't mind playing old games.
@Oram77 I'm not expecting anything good. I just see no point in new console right now. Unless you want yet another TLoU remaster with a few more hair in Joel's beard.

@KingPev if you played Ghost of Sushi before, you have the general idea.

Greetings, good people.
I'm still plowing through Ghost of Yogurt, and it's much longer than I anticipated. Either I'm extremely slow, or howlongtobeat lied to me, I'm only in the third region and the timer already shows almost 40 hours. That's all for now, have a great weekend.

Re: Mafia PS5 Was a Success, Beats Sales Expectations
Honest question: do we really need GTA?
Re: Don't Expect Any PS5 Exclusives from Square Enix in the Future
After so-called FFVII remakes and FFXVI I don't expect anything from SE period.
Re: Game of the Month: Ghost of Yotei (October 2025)
Absolutely predictable. Not because it's such a great game, but because of population of this site.
Re: Poll: Vote for Your PS5 Game of the Month (October 2025)
Knowing this site, the vote will be very one-sided. For me it's Once Upon a Katamari, finally new and good Katamari game since Vita.
Re: GTA London Will Remain a One-Off, as the Series Needs Guns and American Culture, Says Dan Houser
Meanwhile Sleeping Dogs is better than any GTA without any America.

Clair Obscur and Silksong aren't games of the year, they are the games of the decade.

@SeaDaVie nowhere in the article does it stated that the incident happened at work
Re: Yakuza 3 Remake Backlash Blows Up Again as Actor Guilty of Sexual Harassment Stars in New Trailer
It's law's job to punish him, not RGG studio, not Sega, and definitely not yours.

@Can-You-Believe-Sith playing asian game in English dub is your own fault, not developer's.

Writing in the first game sucked balls and judging by the reviews it didn't improve.

Re: Poll: Are You Playing Ninja Gaiden 4?
@StitchJones sorry I was trying to answer seriously, my mistake.

@StitchJones not in the slightest. Ryu has never looked so good. And remember that Platinum made the best looking Wii U game.

It still irks me a little that easiest difficulty was renamed Hero Mode from Ninja Dog. It says a lot about how times have changed.

@Veritas7Ax they really aren't. Like a Dragon, Ys and Trails are still like that.

Double-A and single-A are more than 90% of the games that I play. They are just not made in the west.
